Anywho~ seeing all of these characters together makes me so happy! Thank you all for drawing, writing and talking about interactions between your Ocs and Fleur. They truly make my day so much brighter and definitely makes me want to draw more friendship drawings!

"N-Nice to meet ya".

For the love of Thra...WHAT IS SHE WEARING?!

The day when Mothria and Rian finally met… was awkward as hell. They met when Rian and Gurjin were on leave and were spending time in the Podling settlement between the castle and the Stonewood village. A commonplace for soldiers who are on leave but don't have that much time to make the trek back home. They unexpectedly ran into Mothria, who has actually been to the settlement many times for personal reasons. It was either confidence or fate that she would happen to arrive on the same day Gurjin and Rian would. Gurjin was ecstatic to introduce his best mate to his best girl,unfortunately that giddiness was one kind of way.

Mothria doesn't know how to handle talking to someone new, especially from another clan, when she can barely talk to people from her own clan.

And Rian…Rian is just going through a culture shock right now. He knew Drenchen loved to wear little, he learned that from rooming with Gurjin for so long. Still, he wasn't ready for Mothria’s traveling attire.

Shenanigans occur as the day goes on.

Imagine you're sleeping on your back one morning, then you feel a sharp, sudden, agonizing pain as you feel your back begin to slowly split open!

The skin pulls and the muscle tears leaving you gripping your bedsheets and crying at the feeling of something big unfurling from your poor mangled and torn back.

That would be called a ‘Wing Bleeding’, and every female gelfling goes through this.

Similar to that of a young adolescent girl getting her first period, although gelflings get that as well.

Wing Bleeding is when the wing slits on the back  finally open after being shut tight for so long in order for the wings to form and the back muscles to get strong. When a lassywings is around ten or twelve trine, the muscles around the wing slits will loosen and eventually open allowing the fully formed wings to pop out like a bloody flower.

The wings come out covered in blood and the base is very sensitive, so girls can't fly right away.

Not that they would want to after going through such a traumatic event.

For a while, the girl will not be able to sheethe her wings. Around like two months since the muscle just got strained and the wings are too sensitive and tender to really move.

It is seen as a prideful mark for a young girl to have her wings out till her family members, or maudra, teach her how to properly sheathe her wings in her back.

This event marks when a girl is considered ALMOST a woman, she will be a full woman when she bleeds for the first time. But she is considered more mature to be called a “childling” but not fully a gilly.

She's at the crossroad if you will.

Different clans have different ways of celebrating a Wing Bleeding but the notion that the girl in question is no longer a child is a shared notion.

The big double whammy is when you get your Wing Bleeding and your first ‘unum’, on the same day.

Thankfully, that was not the case for Mothria.

Mothria is very much liking the gift that Gurjin sent her.

Naia is…regretting looking over her friend’s shoulder.

Also, shoving in some gelfling biology here, Mothria is displaying a hormonal reaction called a “Wing riser”. To us humans, we would  simply call them “Wing Boners” or “Wing Erection”.

The current Age slang for it is “A Soarer”, “An Eye-cutter” and “A Raiser”

When a female gelfling is aroused, her wings will unfurl unintentionally and stand rigid.

This is a biological trait from way back during the Age of Innocence, when females would do a mating dance in order to attract the male of their choice.

Although the dance is not practiced anymore, the imprint to mate is still there even thousands of years later.

Grigor being an insufferable old prick and keeping the youngsters from locking lips.

Introducing Geal, A drenchen muski breeder who is part of the subculture of Drenchens known as Eelings. Drenchen who often act as ambassadors for the totem animal of the clan, the muski. Geal is one of the best tamers and breeders in Sog. Although he struggles with talking to Gelfling, his whispers could calm even the most feral and wild water eel. He was Mothria’s first lover and the two were even engaged in the past. He is also the ONLY gelfling, that Grigor supported Mothria being with.

To all the folks who think I forgot, or don't care and just come here to hang, about Tree’ya…I am here to say that she is fine and dandy and perhaps might come back better than ever!

Here’s the story;

When I first started drawing Tree’ya, I enjoyed it and thought she was going to be a fleeting character whom I would come back to every now and then like Mothria. Answering questions about certain parts of her character via the comments or in little sketches every now and then.

Then, when I took time off to work on my original comic, I would work on bits and pieces of her character using a character design book I received as a gift. Eventually, her character evolved, she was given a past, more personality was applied and soon other stories were written and now I have a whole folder in my drive dedicated to Tree’ya and her lore.

At first, I wanted to keep her to myself.

Like a secret project of sorts, but I thought that was silly and decided to keep writing with the intent to one day publish her own tale. I was aiming to publish her story on December 16, the one-year anniversary of Avatar 2.

But as I was writing, it came to me that Tree’ya wasn't as fleshed out as I would have liked. She was a completely bland character who couldn't stand alone.

Meaning I only focused on aspects outside of her being a fleshed-out person, like her relationships, the world around her…her romantic life.

I didn't properly flesh out Tree’ya as a character, something I did with my gelfling oc Mothria that I don't want to repeat again.

So I ended up postponing to dedicate more time to writing Tree’ya a bit more and figure out how I want to begin the story since…I think it's going to be long.

It's gonna take more than one year to reach the end of this saga…It's gonna be something let me leave it at that.

So regarding posting about Tree’ya, there will STILL be artistic pieces dedicated to her.

Just mostly sketches and very ambiguous illustrations regarding key points to her character that won't bring spoilers to her story. Maybe some fluff comics here and there as well, but ultimately I want to focus on writing and solidifying Tree’ya as a character and getting her more fleshed out.

 Mothria and Naia have been friends since they were toddlings. As they grew together, their friendship only deppend and became something both treasure.

To Mothria, Naia is someone who understands and accepts her in a place that looks down on her because of her mother’s previous actions in the clan. 

To others, Mothria was the daughter of a flapper and the granddaughter to the “Grouchy Gatekeeper Grigor”.

Naia never judged, ridiculed or mocked her for her origins. She embraces her for who she is and even respects her.

That is more priceless to Mothria than any coin or tide in the world. She loves her treasured friend.

To Naia, Mothria is her treasure. Someone she cannot live without and someone who she values and loves beyond anyone else. Gurjin was her brother, she loves him but there are times she cant relate or understand him. She also had trouble befriending others due to her status as the daughter of a Muadra. 

Mothria listens to her fears, loves her when she's stubborn, and comforts her when she's sad. It is all Naia had ever wanted, therefore, she values and treasures her beloved friend.

Their love only grows from here.

It. Is. FINALLY. HERE! Mothria’s room everybody! I've been wanting to do this I first introduced my baby moth, but i didt have the skillset to sketch out the interior environment. I rock at nature environments…but there is room for improvement for the interior and cities. Thankfully a mentor of mine gave me some tips and inspiration and now look, my baby has a place to live!

Mothria has had this room since she was small, as it used to belong to her mother. Well…it really belonged to multiple family members such as her Pop-pa, her Great Gran-Gran and so on and so forth. So with her mother gone, Mothria took it over and has made it her own over the years. Although, she only uses it for sleeping and getting ready since she's such a busy lady. No lounging and relaxing in this household I'm afraid, Grigor makes sure of that.

Mothers come in all forms. There are the mothers that gave birth to you, mothers that found you or even mothers who are another member of your family. To Mothy, her mother was her grandmother. Gran-Gran Rhiannon.
