Long time no post!

I won’t delve deeper than saying I’m just very exhausted and I don’t have as much free time as I had before

I know what most of you are thinking. Humans??? Yes. I’ve been playing Genshin for a while and I finally decided to indulge in Canon x Oc last year.

Her name is Mariposa, she’s originally from Fontaine but moved to Mondstadt where she joins the Knights of Favonius. She and Kaeya hit it off but take the longest time to become a couple.

This is just a quick sketch (coloring wise) of Mariposa consoling Kaeya after he was down in the dumps.

Highlights From My Great Con-junction Experience

Receiving autographs and having conversations with Lisa Maxwell, Stephen Garlick, Warrick Brownlow-Pike, Helena Smee, Louise Gold, and Victor Yerrid

Getting a picture taken with Louise Gold and a professional one with Lisa Maxwell. Both women were extremely lovely but Lisa was especially wonderful to interact with! She treated me like her best friend and was super super sweet 🥹 (pics with both are on my instagram @loyal.maudra)

Meeting Louise was amazing because she was part of the OG Muppet Show crew back in the 70s/80s before she worked on Dark Crystal, specifically as Annie Sue Pig (and I’m sure many more). It was sort of a dream come true as a lifelong Muppet/Jim Henson fan to receive an autograph and have a pic taken with someone from the original show!

Cory Godbey and James from @the_darkcrystalproject recognized me from insta 😊 (they both follow me and I and very honored)

Attending Cory Godbey’s Illustration Workshop where we learned how to draw a Mystic

Meeting @thanatasia (who I consider a dear friend) in person! We attended many of the panels together as well as the illustration workshop. She is the sweetest! 💕

Though I didn’t get anything signed or a pic, I had a quick convo with J.M. Lee about the books, he was very nice!

I did have more than one convo with Cory and Helena respectively, they were both so kind ❤️ Honestly talking to Cory was like talking to a friend, we even hugged before I left 😊

Warrick told me that Freckles does have an actual name!! He just forgets what it was 🙃

The cosplay competitions were amazing!! Seriously so much fun to watch! I will be posting clips on insta and my TikTok simply.cozz soon!

On the second day while I was up in the museum, LISA HENSON HERSELF WALKED IN!!! I didn’t talk to her bc I didn’t want to bother her while she was looking around (I could have gone to the Group Signing and spoken with her but I missed that 🤦🏻‍♀️) but to see her in person and be so close was absolutely surreal!!

FUN FACT: Before Sigourney Weaver, Lisa Maxwell was supposed to narrate the intro to ep. 1 of AoR as Kira, which she did record before they chose Weaver; this recording was sold at Lisa’s booth but I received one FOR FREE from her assistant because I guess I was special for some reason??? I haven’t listened to it yet bc it’s on a USB-type chip that goes into a computer but I can’t wait to hear KIRA’S VOICE as the Storyteller!! There were only like 50 of these chips in existence so yeah, I don’t know what I did to deserve one but 🫠🫠

At the closing ceremony we got to chant the Prophecy from the movie (when single shines the triple sun ect), it was honestly kind of emotional to see all these Dark Crystal fans and creators come together like that at this event 😭

So recently, I asked @thanatasia to do a small challenge for herself as practice as a prize for a small thing she did. While she was doing her sketch, I felt that if I'm going to challenge someone to step out of their comfort zone, I should do the same myself.

So the challenge was to draw a piece from a high angle with foreshortening, my least favorite things, with a background and at night to practice my colors.

THIS PIECE KICKED MY SOUL AND MY BUTT!!!! Took me this whole week to draw and finish the thing. I'm honestly glad it turned out so pretty though, it was also my first time drawing the Atokirina so that also added to the stress.

Still, I am proud of how it came out and the fun part was playing with the glowing effect. Especially Tree’ya’s freckles and her eyes.

Here's my Gelfsona, or Gelfling OC!

Her name is Petra, and she is a Grottan. She is most known for her work as an adept seamstress in Domrak, the Grottan capital. She has even imported her work to the other clans too, and receives materials for clothes from other clans when needed. Petra is very kind, not being one to complain, and she has very frail health, and the illness is not specified, but she manages pretty well despite it, and she still remains gentle, like the rest of her clan.

I drew this because I had a lot of inspiration from @thanatasia, who has their own full squad of amazing OCs, including the wonderful half-Stonewood, half-Dousan Fleur, and so many funny and heartwarming stories too! I absolutely love Thanatasia's artwork, and so I have to say they're my favourite Dark Crystal artist 💗

Gift art for my bestest friend @thanatasia ! This is her OC Fleur and her man’s Razer having a nice peaceful get away after he’s back from a long sailing trip in a forest of stone in the wood. They missed each other dearly!! Ahh this was a joy to illustrate! Both characters are beautifully designed and work so well off each other ! Can’t wait to see more fluffy and romantic content from their creators. Thanks for taking a look !

A tangled & AOR crossover artpiece inspired by @thanatasia. They actually fit very well together, and so I just drew my favorite ship with my fav scenes from the movie!😊

This is VERY late, but I really liked how this was coming out! This is for @thanatasia 's DTIYS of their gelfling OC Fleur. Since she's a Stonewood and Dousan I wanted to reflect that with both the Crystal Desert and the edge of the Endless Forest in the BG.

As a side note, rendering leaves is death and I hate it.

I didn’t know which style I would pick, something more realistic or stylised? Then I asked myself “How would she look like if she was an Age of Resistance puppet?” and I chose that idea.

In celebration of; Avatar 2: The Way of Water, I wanted to do a quick redraw of Tsireya from one of the promotional posters. I have not seen this movie yet but I’m so excited to see it probably the week after my sister’s birthday.

I kinda gave up after her hair and didn’t know how to fade it out more aesthetically (?)

I can already tell Tsireya will be my favorite character after Neytiri and I’m so excited and interested to learn more about her clan and their ways of life. My favorite parts in the first movie were the scenes focusing on Neytiri’s clan (I know the name but I just can’t remember how to spell it atm)

So excited to see this movie

𓂃✦ Style? What's that? Haha, I use a lot of styles and like to experiment. Fluid styles are a thing guys! Anyway, here is Fleur for the DTIYS challenge! Hope you like it! This style I'm using is a lot more simplified, if I want to do something quick or want to enter a contest I use this style. So, everything is pretty simplified! I did try a gelfling style but was not happy with it, this is the final product! Good luck to the others!
