With all the HBO Max stuff my thoughts are I feel really bad for Genera+ion. It's clear that a lot of love went into that show and now just over a year after it's final episode came out it's being taken down entirely. I binged the entire show yesterday and it's such a beautiful love letter to what it means to be a queer teen in high school, the good and the bad. While I may have felt alienated by the drinking and partying Nathan's clash with his parents was real. While Delilah having a baby seemed a bit unrealistic, something that the show acknowledged, I knew people like Delilah, like Chester. This show felt real to me and I loved it as I binged it over the last two days. I'm not good at sitting down and watching TV shows so I put off watching Genera+ion for a while, but when I first heard about HBO Max originals getting taken off the sight I knew that Genera+ion would be one of them. Still I made no effort to watch the show until it was officially announced and binging the show was some of the most fun I've had. Yeah it was cringey at times but high schoolers are cringey. I just really love this show and I'm sad to see it go.
