Amulet RE-read: book 8
I got this book sign by the man himself.
I’m amazed that how Trellis did not recognize the older version of Emily.
If Trellis understood who he was speaking with he would understand what she said.
It’s nice to see the inside of Charon house again.
Trellis social anxiety is showing.
I think that Emily’s painful memory help her remember who she is.
Karen still can’t believe what is happening in her life.
I didn’t know why they were put on medical duty.
Makes sense that you don’t want your equipment to break.
I guess that Silas told the resistance of the shadows.
I wonder when the bike races Alyson talk about happened.
I’m also amazed that Emily didn’t recognize her older self early on.
Ikol’s servant seems not to like what the other stonekeepers are saying.
Emily is being a better stonekeeper then Silas was.
What old Emily said on Page 133 was vary powerful.
Ikol’s plan is starting to fall apart now.
Everything in the Daikon Family home seems so small and cute.
Page 156 and 157 feel cozy.
I think Ikol didn’t expect Emily to do what she did to him.
It’s nice to see everything so good at the end of the book.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Xavier:
Missionary. It's the intamacy that he loves about it. He also just loves to be able to hold eye contact with you and this position offers many sweet kisses with you. It's the way his hands can wander all over your body and feel your skin against his.
Spooning. He loves to hold you against him and being completely in control of the pace even if you do get a little whiney and want him to go faster. He loves to slip inside behind you while you're laying on your side, his hands feeling you up while he starts to grind into you. He just also loves that he can kiss, bite, and leave marks all over your neck because he loves seeing you shudder and clench around him. Also this positions allows him to burry his face in the back of your head or neck while he slowly fucks you from behind.
Morning Sex. Or just sleepy and lazy sex in general. It's the idea of just waking up and fucking you in the early morning hazy and the sheets are more messy now. There's no better way to start the day with a multiple orgasm.
Body Worship. Takes his time running his hands over you, kissing and licking your thighs, stomach, hips, breasts, or wrists. Leaves marks everywhere in your body and some of them are even a surprise when you look in the bathroom mirror. He'll tell you how beautiful and how good you taste on his mouth. This can be enjoyed during foreplay and when you two are fucking.
Nipple Play. His hands will always be on your breasts. Does this in foreplay and leaves lingering hickeys and marks around them. He'll lick, bite, pinch, and knead your tits. When he's thrusting into you, he'll stimulate them by pinching and rubbing them and it'll have you throwing your head back.
He would not be into public sex. I just don't think he wants anybody to see your shared intimate space. He just wants you all to himself.
Tumblr media
Zayne:
Cowgirl. There's just so many reasons why he loves letting you ride him. He loves watching your body bounce on his cock while your hands rest or trace on his toned chest. Also loves it when you lean down and kiss him. Someone needs to call a different heart doctor because you're going to be the death of him. This position allows him to have a view of your body and he can touch you. He would have his hands and mouth everywhere while you're riding him. One hand cupping your breast while the other breast in his mouth, sucking and swirling on your bud. You wouldn't be surprised by how much marks there would be on your chest. He also loves to watch your expressions and hear your noises. He'll study how your muscles roll, the way your chest stretches and constricts as you move up and down. He'll even know when you'll reach your limit so he'll keep you upright and let you ride the wave of pleasure until you collapse and he'll catch you. He is a patient man. But there will be times where he will take matters in his own hands where his hips might buck up or flip you over and get you where you both need to go.
Missionary. A simple yet such an intimate position. In this position he loves that he can kiss you and cover you with marks from his mouth. He can suck on your tits in this position too as he fucks into you. He also just loves looking down and seeing your reaction as he thrusts in and out of you. If he's tired right after, he can lay on you and nuzzle into your neck and hold you in his arms.
Brat-Taming. You can be stubborn with him. So he'll have to teach you a lesson. He'll have you face pressed down into a pillow and get railed until you're a sobbing mess just begging for more.
Praising. When you're not being a brat he loves to tell you that you're "so obedient" "such a good girl for me" or things like "just like that" while you're a whimpering mess under him or in any position with him.
Breast Worship. He just genuinely loves your tits. No matter the size or shape they are just made for him to kiss, lick, and obsess over.
Over the counter/ On the desk. The thrill of it of getting caught if one of his colleagues walks in on you completely disheveled on his desk. The top of your shirt unbuttoned to expose your breasts that were peeking under your bra that's been pushed up. Skirt pulled up to your hips while he rams into you on his desk.
Lingerie. Thinks you look so beautiful in a satin outfit with sheer material. The sight alone leaves his ears burning red and his cock throbbing through his bottoms, aching to get out. Would compliment you telling you how you look so beautiful wearing it but it's too bad it'll be off in a minute. He'll be extra careful not ruin the material. Sometimes he might not want to take it off because he might want to fuck you while wearing it.
I don't think he would be into pegging. I just don't see him as a man that would want to be pegged.
Tumblr media
Rafayel:
Cowgirl. He loves this position so much. He just loves your visuals and it's nothing compared to all the masterpieces he has seen or created. It's no doubt he's a pillow prince. He loves being able to just lie back and watch your pretty face get fucked on his dick. It's not only just the view that it offers but the ability to touch and allow you to take care of him. His hands will definitely be all over you, rubbing your thighs, gripping your hips, playing with your tits. He might just see his Lemurian ancestors soon. He doesn't mind dying this way with absolutely zero complaints. He is a babbling and whimpering mess underneath you, begging you to move faster. He just loves having all this access to your body and this position is just perfect to him.
Lotus Sex Position. Another intimate position that brings your bodies much closer for you two. He'll lean back, one arm around your waist to keep you steady while your arms are wrapped around his neck while you slowly grind on his dick. He'll rock or grind with you while he holds you tight. What he loves about it is the eye contact and endless kisses in this position while you rock or grind on his dick without compromising the closeness between you two. It's a little more like cowgirl but more intimate.
Shower/ Bathtub. He's a Leumurian and he's in love with so his sense are heightened during sex and in the water. His tongue glides over yours and water sloshing around your bodies as you both fight to be in a more comfortable position. Once you do, you're in his embrace, holding you so close. His breaths comes in ragged gasps, each inhale is desperate as his chest rose and fell unevenly. You can feel his hardened length against you but first his fingers found their way between your legs, stroking you in the right way to have you gasping and moaning his name.
Praise Kink. He loves to be praised whether it's outside of sex or during sex. It turns him on more than anything. Tell him he's so handsome and how good he looks while he's underneath you. Tell him how good his cock feels in your cunt. He loves to hear how much you like seeing him, touching him, and just being with him. Tell him more and more and don't stop. Obviously this will be returned to you as well. Saying things to you like, "You take my cock so well baby."
Watching you masturbate in front of him. The way you circle your swollen clit with your fingers or how you thrust your fingers into your slick opening just for him. Watching you whimper and moan about how much you want him inside of you turns him on. Sometimes he'll interrupt and he'll take care of you himself but sometimes he'll just watch, palming his own length.
I don't think he would enjoy humiliation kink. I think you would just have an upset Rafayel and I don't think he would find pleasure in it.
Tumblr media
Sylus:
Missionary. An intimate position that is included of one of many favorite positions he has with you. It allows him to keep eye contact and watch your expressions. He loves being able to see you below him, his hands either holding your wrists down or intertwined together. The way your breath speeds up, chest heaving up and down, your mouth parting, and breathless moans is just a sight to behold. The way your hair pools around your head and the reaction of your face the longer he looks at you. He is patient man and wants to keep this for as long as he can but sometimes he can be quite impatient. He just wants to see it all and I think this position gives him everything he wants.
Bondage. Whether it's you or him, he'll enjoy. He liked watching you try to take control of him when he was all tied up one time. But when it's your turn, he teases you a lot. Loves to see you all tied up and squirm all pretty for him.
Edging. He can be giving or receiving but mostly on edging you. He's edged you many times before you have an earth shattering orgasm.
Hand Holding. Loves to lace your fingers with his while you fuck. He loves to pin his arms above your head with your hands intertwined. The intimacy about that almost makes him fill you up and he hasn't even done much work.
Face Sitting. He loves it. He was more than happy to do it when you asked him too. Does not care about your protest, just sit on him already.
Head between your thighs. He just loves to eat out your pussy. The idea of you lying on your back while you let his tongue do all the work. Sometimes he'll peer up to see how much of a mess you are while he keeps one of his fingers plugged in.
Size kink. He loves that he's taller and much bigger than you. He just loves to watch his thick cock disappear into your small pussy.
Lingerie. He's always amused to see you wearing such sheer clothing for him on your shared bed. The familiar smirk you know is worn on his face as he walks up to you. It's like a holiday and you're his present and he gets to slowly unwrap you. He'll pull you into his lap, lips brushing past each other. Just tell him what you want and need and he's already on it.
He does not like quickies. He likes taking in the intimate moment you two share and taking his time with you. He loves to build up the pleasure.

Andy I just had a thought.. Shouto kabedon.. i’m very sane about this
Omg I loooveeeeeeeee this omg!!!!!!! You are a genius!!!!!!! This ask unlocked something inside of my brain; this is barely coherent and unedited but I offer you this heartfelt nonsense in return.
Tumblr media
contents: shouto x reader, sfw, implied fem reader, aged-up characters, 1.7k
You tried to ignore it when you first heard Mineta say it.
"Trust me, the babes love it," he'd lisped to his doubtful audience—Kaminari, a befuddled-looking Kirishima, and Shouto, whose face was so impassive you'd actually been under the impression he wasn't listening.
The former members of UA's graduating class of 2X74 were stuffed into Kaminari's new apartment for a party. It was mostly the heroics department, but you'd spotted a few of your fellow general course graduates as you'd passed through the kitchen to grab a drink. You'd come out into the living room to see Mina and Jirou—as well as pretend like you weren't ogling your long-time crush Shouto—but you found you were immediately regretting leaving the safety of that kitchen.
"And you've... done it?" Kirishima asked, eyebrows scrunched.
Mineta made a show of inspecting his fingernails like it was nothing to him—which you seriously doubted. "Trust me, women like assertiveness. This move is plastered all over their romance manga."
You took another sip from your drink. You wanted to pretend like you weren't hearing this, but Mina and Jirou were making it hard, Jirou stone-faced next to you and Mina unsuccessfully trying to filter her gleeful laughter into her own drink.
"Do you think women even know it's a kabedon, if he does it?" she asked, leaning in to whisper.
Jirou looked doubtful.
"He's like, waist height," you whispered back, sighing. "I don't even know if his arm would reach the wall either...?"
"I think it probably looks like he's just trying to hold himself up," Mina said, her grin unholy.
"I pity the woman he's attempted it on," Jirou said drily.
"—you're sure?" Kaminari was saying when you turned back to the boys' conversation, also looking doubtful.
"One hundred percent success rate," Mineta insisted, eyebrows wiggling.
Despite yourself, your eyes slid over to Shouto, like they almost always did, wandering over that handsomely thoughtful expression. It was the thing you liked the most about him—how his angelically beautiful visage was at stark odds with how awkward and kind of strange he was; how he looked like an ice prince but was one of the warmest, kindest people you'd ever spoken to.
You'd been paired for a couple assignments back in school, hung out on the periphery of his Class A friend groups, and had ended up teaching him a fair few things about how to cook and do laundry when he'd asked. He'd even rescued you during one of the many attacks that made up your time at UA together—which was really when your crush hit you full-force.
He'd been so gentle with you, carrying you out of harm's way when your injured leg had crumpled beneath you, and the careful way he'd handled you had been so at variance with the raw, roiling power he'd wielded on the battlefield—the tidal waves of ice that swept up the villains, the towering wall of fire that mercilessly choked off any of their escape points.
You thought Shouto was one of the most gentle, well-mannered men on earth.
He would probably never kabedon someone. He would never need to—people fell all over themselves for him.
"The babes fall right into your arms," Mineta said, raising his voice to encompass the knot of girls stuffed together on the loveseat. "Isn't that right, ladies?"
"I'm going to get another drink, the image of Mineta trying to kabedon me needs to be wiped from my brain," you told the girls, flinging yourself over Mina's legs in your haste to escape.
The kitchen was a welcome reprieve, and you dug around in Kaminari's fridge for another can, letting the cool air wash over you. You studiously ignored that all Kaminari seemed to have in his fridge was a pile of moldering grapes and some mayo.
Can acquired, you briefly considered not going back out into the living room and abandoning Mina and Jirou to their fate. But the pull of Shouto was too strong, and with a sigh you resigned yourself to more of Mineta's lechery.
In the hallway, however, you stumbled into the man himself, coming towards you from the opposite direction. You were struck momentarily dumb by the way the breadth of his shoulders seemed to take up almost the entire span of the hall, the way his fading summer tan looked against the light-blue of his button up. He was so handsome even when he was just walking, it was so deeply unfair.
"Hi Shouto," you said, raising your can in a salute, hoping your voice sounded normal. "Careful in Kaminari's fridge, he's culturing something on his grapes."
Shouto blinked down at you, those beautiful mismatched eyes growing a little wider. "Y/N," he greeted you, though there was a note of something strange in his voice, like there was something weird about you that he hadn't expected.
You wondered if you'd spilled something on yourself like a child, and decided to detour to the bathroom on your way back. How embarrassing.
You gave him a rueful grin, stuffing yourself against the wall so you wouldn't accidentally bump a strong shoulder as you passed, swearing vengeance on your drink if it had betrayed you in this moment—
Except, suddenly there was a hand against the wall in front of you, blocking your passage down the hall. You startled, whipping back around to stare at Shouto, only to find him looming way closer than you had anticipated.
Your back bumped the wall as he crowded you in, his other arm coming up to press against the wall on your other side, caging you inside his reach.
Your mind was so overwhelmed with the sight of him this close—that straight, blade-thin nose, that full, pouty mouth—the light touch of some expensive cologne at his collarpoints—that it took you a second to catch up with what was going on.
Your mouth dropped open when you registered that Todoroki Shouto had just—kabedoned you?—was actively kabedonning you? what the literal fuck—in the middle of Kaminari's hallway.
"Shouto? What—?" you managed, your voice strangled. The air felt like it was resisting you, refusing to be drawn into your lungs.
Shouto's voice was low and intimate as he answered, sending a mortifyingly visible shiver right down your spine. "Is it working?"
You gaped at him, eyes flickering over his serious expression. "Is—what—?"
Shouto shifted even closer, so that his face was a scant two inches from yours. You were suddenly, horrifyingly aware of how close his mouth was, how tall and strong and warm he was over you.
"Do you plan to fall into my arms?" Shouto asked. "Mineta said women liked it."
It was a fight for your life to make the connection over the static in your brain, the lack of oxygen in the air. Mineta had said women would fall for you if you kabedonned them... Shouto was.... kabedonning you.... computation pending...
"You... want it to work?" you asked, words clipped. You felt like any stray movement and your mouth would brush his, and you didn't know if he wanted—it was too strange to think that he might—
"Yes," Shouto replied, his handsome face serious. Those heterochromatic eyes searched over you, trailing over your features like a warm touch. "I want it to. Am I... not doing it correctly?"
Your face heated, and an entire conservatory of butterflies took flight in your stomach. You could not believe what was going on right now.
"No you're—you're doing it right."
Shouto's face was even closer, then, his mouth a whisper away from yours. "Then you have fallen for me," he said, sounding like both a question and a conclusion. He looked like he didn't know what to do next.
You had to suppress a laugh, charmed and mystified and nervous all at once. He was so reliably strange—of course he had taken Mineta's assertions at face value. And he was so straightforward, of course he had implemented the advice straight away. He was so silly, you liked him so, so much.
"I... have," you said, a helpless smile creeping over your lips. "Although it was a while before the kabedon, to be honest."
Shouto blinked, and you could just barely see his mouth grow a little slack in surprise. "Oh," he said, a hint of a shy smile touching his mouth. "Good."
"Yeah. Good," you said, your own grin going wider.
Shouto's eyes dipped down to your mouth, and his eyelashes fluttered. A thrill of anticipation went down your spine, your knees suddenly liquefying, as Shouto leaned back in, and your own eyes fluttered closed.
The press of his mouth was hot and soft—perfect, like you'd always fantasized it would be. He shifted closer, so that he pressed against you, and you had to tilt your head back to accommodate how tall he was, reveling in the strength and the heat of him over you. One of his hands left the wall to thread into your hair as he kissed you, cradling the back of your head like you were something precious, and your stomach swooped in response.
He kissed you boneless, absolutely stupid against the wall of Kaminari's hallway, and it was all your could do to wrap your arms around him and kiss him back. You didn't know how long it was that the two of you stood there, wrapped up in one other. All you knew was you never wanted Shouto's mouth to leave yours again, never wanted to leave the circle of his embrace.
So of course an appreciative whistle broke the two of you apart. You tore your mouth away from Shouto's only to find Mineta standing at the end of the hall, grinning like a wolf. A tiny, lecherous little wolf.
"Nice one, Tododoki," he said, like you weren't even there.
You bristled, stiffening in Shouto's arms as you glanced back at him quickly to measure his response. But the dazed look on Shouto's face pulled you up short, and he looked at Mineta like he wasn't really seeing him.
"You were right," was what he eventually managed. "The kabedon is very effective. Now if you will excuse us, I need to do it again."
A shocked laugh escaped you as Shouto's hand seized yours, and then you were being pulled around the corner into Kaminari's bathroom. Shouto walked you back against the door, an arm coming up just like before, pinning you against the door.
Another pleased laugh was muffled in Shouto's mouth as he took yours again, cupping your face to his. The lock clicked shut behind you.

pick a pile: "You are..." - Loving and encouraging words for you
take a breath and choose the photo or number that calls you the most to read some loving warm words about you. it's always nice to hear about our positive traits, right? here you can find yours and some encouraging words about your next steps/healing. keep going and take care of you! and also, be ready to let love in, you deserve it :)
don’t take the reading too seriously. only take what resonates with you and leave the rest. if you're not called by any pile, let this reading slid as it may not hold messages for you. if you're called by more than one pile, there may be messages in each of those piles. remember that is a general reading and some things may not resonate with you. energies can change and readings are based on present ones (as you read); you're always in charge of your life.

pile 1
You are sunny, cheerful, bright and warm. You're also pretty welcoming and you like to hug people or generally enjoy physical displays of affection. I think people like to be around you, you basically cheer up everyone and "set the mood for the evening" (I just heard that, IDK). You have a lovely smile, everyone is in awe with it and you in general; maybe you also have a particular way to laugh? Like you maybe make a strange sound, and everyone is fond of it. They love to make you laugh honestly just to hear it. I feel like you take emotional care of others and you may feel like a sip of fresh water to many. You're extrovert (or at least seem so in specific context), confident and you know exactly what to do or say to make the day of the people you are in contact with. I think you may share smiles with people on the street and even help them if they need (eg. like if they drop something you may pick it up for them, especially for older people or you may leave your seat to them). I think you are very funny and smart, and like to joke a lot. Okay for some of you you may have changed after something happened and keep this sunny side of you a bit hidden (or maybe you occasionally fear being judged about it, or you have been), but honestly I think you only need to reconnect with it and let it flow from you. It's hurtful when some things happen but it's also something that... just happens in life, sadly (I'm not trying to invalidate your experience/pain, at all). We don't have to let those negative things change us so much, especially if we still feel that flame/desire inside. I mean... don't feel guilty for being happy, if that's what you feel. You can be happy no matter what happened. You have to be happy. Find new ways for that happiness to flow within but reach it "and let it rain" out of you. Enjoy it, let it be there and help you heal what hurt as well, if you need. You can find new happiness anytime. New reasons to be happy, too. This is also true for the few of you who tend to hide pain behind a smile, pretending it's all good. Toxic positivity won't solve it, as avoiding problems. Be more balanced (maybe you were called by pile 2 as well) and accepting of what is wrong: it doesn't mean you let it take over you (ask for help if it's too scary), it means you're not being blind to it but you're listening to it and trying to make it better (ofc you can wear a smile while you do that, you totally have to! Healing happens also with taking breaks to enjoy life and hobbies/passions...). You are such a beam of light for everyone, confront your problems (if there's any) and then keep on shining!
song: chicken noodle soup | j-hope; wake me up before you go go | wham! (I channeled the first song while doing your reading, anyway the mood for you is: jitterbug!)

pile 2
You are strong, pure and very special. You stand out, and honestly you don't even have to do much to stand out. I think it's your energy: it also has something healing for those that comes near you, something comforting. You should be more confident in yourself: maybe you also doubt about your looks or how you may be seen/perceived by others but honestly you have/are nothing less than anyone else. You are caring and have a good heart; maybe you have buildt some walls around yourself out of past traumas, and this is blocking you a little when it comes to sharing with others or creating deeper relationships. It's okay take your time to work through those walls. You have beautiful eyes, and maybe you like to look at others in the eyes too? I think you are also sincere, honest and humble, at times also to a fault: please do stand up for yourself when you need, and set your boundaries. You may also be a bit too strict on you, especially when you make some type of mistakes or something? Maybe it's the fear I mentioned in the beginning of being perceived as you're not or in a bad way, or maybe... at times you may be scared of your thoughts somehow. It's not just the anxiety you may get from them and how they may make you spiral so you tend to stop them (it's okay to do this and distract your mind when you start feeling overwhelmed, but please come back to those thoughts when you feel calmer: to avoid thinking about a problem won't help you solve it at all, it will come back stronger. And please ask for help if you need), but there's also something else. Remind yourself usually the first thought is what we learned, our instinctive first reaction to a situation (usually comes up to "protect us") while the second thought we have is the one that comes from the heart, it really expresses what we think with a calmer and more balanced mind. I mean, eg. let's say someone says they got something you always wanted and this triggers you: your first reaction could also be being envious of them and feel not enough compared to them and potentially say or think something negative/feel resentful or angry, but if you stopped and thought about it again, you may just be really happy for this person and see yourself as on a different path: your time will come too. Be more kind with yourself, more patient: you're unlearning a negative mental pattern and that's not easy, it will take time and practice and lot of patience. You are so lovely you have no idea, please try to see and show that yourself too.
song: a little bit yours | jp saxe (indeed come back to your core self and show yourself love, and accept it too; closing chapters, changing and unlearning stuff is hard, but you can make it)

pile 3
You are multilayered. You have lovely rosey cheeks, people may want to squeeze them lol. You are sweet and cute, you probably are also a little shy or maybe you feel anxious in social settings and you may end up blushing a lot. You may also be stubborn occasionally (not too bad tbh) and can be determined or at least you reach good results in job/school. I think you tend to hide a part of yourself though or find it hard to deal with it/not like it. There's something you fear showing or that you don't want others to see about you, probably your pain, probably something from your past that you keep inside (also cause you can't accept/understand it -it could be abuse for someone, I hope you are safe now). Maybe you're also "scared"... of being loved/seen for real (having your "mask removed"?) or feeling vulnerable... Your energy feels younger or maybe just unexperienced in some fields or situations (maybe you also feel uncomfortable in some situations or you felt so in the past and you avoided joining them so now you feel a little behind maybe: honestly, there's nothing bad in this. You're not behind, you just did what was better for you and you still have time to make more experiences. You have all the time you need and want). I think there's indeed something about time here, it could be you are nostalgic about something that now you are missing/lacking, maybe feelings you could experience in your childhood, or you want to delete something from your past, or it could be that you fear running out of time, as mentioned, as you want to experience many things still but maybe you are scared you won't make it or you don't know where to start from. Just take a break: the moment you'll feel more grounded, it will come to you. Focus on taking care of you and also do take naps if you need and can. If it's about your childhood, eg. if people taught you have to "grow up" or have dimmed you in any way (or you had to, in order to gain their approval), remember you don't really have to forget about your inner child nor to be someone you're not. You can be an adult and still be in touch with your inner child. It's not that one thing excludes the other. And you can be yourself without any fear (it's hard to believe it but you won't be pushed away by everyone if you aren't as they wish). Maybe your inner child now really needs you to be closer to them, they need your appreciation and support, probably also after something you had to go through in your past: your inner child totally did great back then with all they had. Hug them and show them love. I think some of you may also love to work or be around children or pets as they may help you feel more in touch with your own inner child and more grounded. Again, be attentive to your needs, and meet them: maybe you were *unwillingly* taught you don't deserve that much (you had to accept crumbles in relationships) but it's not so, you deserve the moon: remember this. You're already perfect, there's nothing about you in your past or present that you need to fix, my love. Heal your fears about being yourself, receiving (love in particular) and don't run away from it, don't run away from yourself: you'll get all you wish for. Give it and yourself time. And, if you need this: it wasn't your fault, you were not responsible for that event/decision for which you feel like you were (and maybe you didn't even had to take). Whatever it was. You were trying to win the approval of someone who couldn't love you as you wished. Build boundaries around people (adults) and remember you are not responsible for them and what they do/their mistakes: you're not here to save them from anything. You have your own self and life to care about now.

Aah okay, I want to ask you may I req a male reader x tighnari fic? Where reader is a hybrid like tighnari(a/b/o). Reader was going to fontaine/other nations for his job, when he came back to sumeru and finally meet tighnari again, he finds that tighnari being needy to him. Oh yea tighnari and reader r already in a relationship here, boyfriends or husbands it's up to you(。•̀ᴗ-)✧ sorry if it's a mess hehe english is not my first language, thank you btw! Take ur time(∂ω∂)

꩜ Room Content: Dom! Male! Top! Alpha! Reader x Sub! Bottom! Omega! Tighnari, reader has a cock with a knot, established relationship (fennec fox husbands!), omegaverse (mentions of slick, scents, knotting, breeding), gagging Tighnari, biting Tighnari, lmk if I missed out anything ! ꩜ A/N: PHEW this one got a little long, thank you for waiting anon! I researched a lil on fennec fox behaviour but I could be totally wrong so take it w a generous sprinkling of salt hehe,,, OH and no worries anon!! Your English is great, thank you for the request ♡
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gandharva Ville is unusually peaceful when you get back. Usually when you get back from a research trip, regardless of the duration, Tighnari would be waiting for you at the entrance, flinging himself into your arms the second he sees your figure. However, your husband’s nowhere in sight this time. Strange.
The walk to yours and Tighnari’s shared home is similarly uneventful, the lush forest is exactly as you remembered it and you wave to the few forest rangers you meet along the way. You receive cheerful greetings as they welcome you back from your 2-month long trip to Fontaine, one of the longer research trips in a while. As you draw closer to your home, your eyes catch on how the leaves at the front are shifted down to shield the inside of the hut from prying eyes. Weird, is Tighnari out right now? Even so, he typically doesn’t close off the hut either.
You warily make your way over, ears alert and pointed up as your tail is held tensed outwards. The closer you get, the stronger a particular scent wafting through the air becomes. It’s overly sweet, cloying and heady yet, it’s mixed with something sour. Your ears swivel, honing in on the direction of your home as you pick up on soft muffled breaths and rustling on the bed. Setting your trunk down, you cautiously move the leaves aside, they shift but before you can peek inside, you’re forcefully pulled in by a familiar arm.
Upon recovering from the shock, your eyes rake over the sight in front of you and the air is punched from your chest, replaced with pure carnal lust. So this was what your husband was up to instead of receiving you up when you first got back. Tighnari looks absolutely debauched, hair and ears messed up from thrashing around on the bed, his nipples are perked up and by the looks of how pink they are, he’s probably been playing with them for hours. As your gaze dips downwards, his tail is held between his legs, a sign of submission, his usually tidy fur now sticking in all different directions after his strenuous activities. And Archons above, he’s dripping with slick, coating his thighs and fingers with a sinfully sticky mess.
“And here I thought something happened to you, turns out my husband is just some wh-!?” Your sentence is cut off when Tighnari suddenly captures your lips in a kiss. Against your lips, he trills and moans, nuzzling into the crook of your neck, drunk off of your scent.
“Don’t- hng… -talk so much and just fuck me, c’mon c’mon!” Good to see that he hasn’t lost his sass while you were gone. He’s dragging you towards the bed, frantically pawing at your pants as he whines.
“So needy, I would’ve assumed you'd have honed your patience while I was away but-” your gaze is hungry as you soak up the delectable sight of the omega before you, “-looking at your sorry state now, I guess not.” Your eyes glint when you catch sight of your (scented) scarf you left him before embarking on your research trip discarded next to your pillow (which is now suspiciously wet).
“And just how long have you been grinding on my pillow?” Tighnari lets out a high-pitched, guilty-sounding keen when you catch him red-handed.
“Ungh… it doesn’t matter, can’t you just fill me up, pleaseee, I need you in me!!” Fuck, with the way he’s presenting himself to you with his tail held to the side, the deep arch in his back, and how his hole was practically drooling. How could you say no?
Hurriedly, you free your cock from the confines of your pants and Tighnari wastes no time stroking you to fullness before sinking down on your length in one fluid motion. His head is thrown back at the stretch and as he clamps down around you, a throaty whine rips out of him.
“Tsk. So noisy, what if the other rangers hear you? I saw them while walking here y’know.” A flush of red sweeps across his face when he’s confronted by the humiliation he would face if the others heard him yowling and screaming in the middle of the day. He’d be labelled a horndog! (He doesn’t have to know everyone already knows but you like to torture your poor husband with this.) Another whine escapes him as he huffs and buries his ruddy face in the base of your neck again, adorably embarrassed.
Grabbing your scarf, you tilt Tighnari’s head up and pry his mouth open, making sure the pad of your thumb slides along the pad of his tongue. Then, you ball the fabric up and stuff it into his mouth, effectively muffling his moans as it soaks up his noises and drool.
Your hands rub at the base of his tail, near where the two of you are connected and he keens around the gag, every single nerve in his body is lit on fire with the red-hot desire of being utterly taken by you. Something feral in you awakens at his whimpers and squeals, how he’s so pliant and willing and so goddamn needy for you. The pace you set is brutally delicious and it has Tighnari throwing his arms around you, holding on as you fuck up into him the way he craves.
He leans in, sobbing into your shoulder at the onslaught of pleasure, and your nose brushes past his scent gland. Your husband’s scent is nothing but floral sweetness and addictive, causing you to instinctively bite down at the site. At some point, the scarf must have fallen out of Tighnari’s mouth because he lets out an unfiltered howl that merges into a pitched trill.
“Ah! H-hah! Breed me alpha, cum in me, knot mmm-!, mE! Fuck!” His words slur together into a jumbled mess of a sentence, bucking down onto you, pushing you deeper into him as he purrs and squeaks at his oncoming climax. When you cum in him, his gorgeous green eyes roll back into the sockets of his head as his furry ears shoot up, choking on a breathless moan. The searing stretch of your knot pulls his muscles taut as a bowstring and has him cumming within seconds.
As Tighnari catches his breath, you lean in and lave a tongue over the scent gland where you bit him earlier and leave a light kiss on the mark. He purrs lightly, appreciative.
“As, hah…, you can tell, I didn’t miss you all that much,” bold words for a husband who’s peppering your face with kisses while trilling, pleased and sated. Scoffing, you hold him tight in your embrace as the both of you rest and wait for your knot to deflate.
Or at least, until something occurs to you, your eyes instantly snapping open.
...Fuck. You left your luggage trunk outside.

[ENG translation] Joker Out: The destinies of "the Jokers" are linked
An interview with Joker Out published in the September 2024 issue of Pil magazine. Original article written by Jelka Šutej Adamič, photos by Vita Orehek. Translation by a member of JokerOutSubs, review by @kurooscoffee, proofread by IG GBoleyn123.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The band Joker Out is at the centre of the Slovenian music scene, they're travelling from concert to concert, and they also have more and more fans. Right now, they're still on a big European tour titled 'See You Soon', on which they will have, or have had, at least 22 concerts in 13 countries¹. They've announced the release of a new album in the autumn. We caught up with them during the hot July days and chatted with Jure Maček, Kris Guštin, Jan Peteh and Nace Jordan, whilst Bojan Cvjetićanin wasn't able to join the conversation.
¹This interview was conducted in July 2024 and published in the September issue of Pil; the See You Soon tour is now already over.
A question that has probably been asked a hundred times already: how and when did you get together and form the band?
We formed the band out of two pre-existing ones, the bands Buržoazija and Apokalipsa. We met at a concert and decided that we should form a band together. That was in 2016, when we got together for rehearsals for the first time and named the newly formed band Joker Out.
Last autumn you sold out Stožice Arena, now you're preparing the new album and have been on a European tour for several months already. Did you imagine that you would rise so quickly?
Maybe not that it would be so quick, but we've always been quite ambitious, because we had hopes and dreams. It's true, however, that we didn't know exactly what it was that we wanted.
What would you suggest to beginners who have similar ambitions to you? How should they get to work?
They have to practise a lot and persist, they have to find the people around them who complete them. Our friends and family members helped us out a lot in the beginning. Jan's dad, for example, constantly drove us around for the first two years. We wouldn't have gotten anywhere without him. Our advice would be to use (in the positive sense of the word!) anyone who can offer help. But of course, you primarily have to play as much as possible, including with various musicians who show up on your path.
Aside from hard work, another important thing is probably the producer, someone who gives you direction, takes care of your sound, gives you advice?
Our producer is Žare Pak, who is admittedly a "peculiar fellow", but Joker Out probably wouldn't sound the same without him. He is the sixth ear of the band who listens critically and determines whether something is good enough to make a recording. At the end he puts everything we record into one package and that's what we then listen to.
Who are the other people who are by your side professionally?
We have Niko, our driver, security guard, the dad of the band. We have Maša and Sanjin who always make sure that we look good and make a good impression in interviews. Also very important is Mark Pirc, who started out as a video producer, but our collaboration has expanded into general visual artistic co-creation and coordination. Mark is our main visual producer. All the people who help out, who make a concert happen, are also part of our team, and that's not a small number. Right now, we wouldn't be able to put on a concert on our own anymore, without help. We also have to highlight Andraž Drobnič, who takes care of our clothes, our stage costumes.
Do you currently live in Ljubljana?
In Ljubljana, Logatec, and Vrhnika.
You performed in various venues on the tour – from Helsinki to Istanbul, where you're yet to go². Were any of the performances abroad particularly memorable?
Whenever we go to Finland, we're thrilled. It's always top-notch there. Last year we played in Turku where 2800 people came to listen to us, which was something special for us. The venue was sold out.
²The Istanbul gig the interviewer is referring to was later cancelled.
How does a festival performance differ from one in a concert hall or a club? Do you prepare a different programme for one versus the other?
A lot of people who don't know us come to a festival, and we adjust our playlist accordingly. The advantage of being at a festival is that we can hang out with other musicians who are playing at the same festival, because at solo concerts, we stay backstage. The most important thing at a festival is definitely that you also get the attention of people who don't know you, whereas at your own concerts, you primarily have to satisfy the wishes of your listeners.
And the audience? How does it differ from country to country?
They don't speak Slovenian anywhere, so it doesn't matter. (laughter) They differ in energy, since each country has its own unique energy. At some concerts, the audience is more intense and very energetic, at others, they sing very loudly or participate in clapping and singing on their own... Each country is a little different. Finns are the most like us, while Lithuanians are the best of all at waving. We do have a lot of fans who are with us at most of the concerts. They follow along...
Are you perhaps planning a tour in the USA?
No. Of course we'd like to go, but it's not the right time for a tour yet.
What else do you like to do when you're not behind your instruments or the microphone?
I spent all day yesterday fixing my moped. (Jure)
I like to cook, I made a good lasagna the other day! At home, I often take a look at what's happening on the music scene: innovations, new releases. (Jan)
I have a small puppy and I spend most of my free time trying to raise him to be a nice dog. (Nace)
I go to Rožnik³ to cool off. (Kris)
Basically, we like to use our free time for ourselves.
³Rožnik is a small wooded hill in Ljubljana, a very popular place for the locals to go for a walk and exercise.
Do you also hang out privately?
Yes. We would probably do that more if we weren't together so much for business too. We also go for drinks together or meet up at our rehearsal place to chat and hang out.
How do you react when you get recognised on the street? Are you nice to your fans?
We are nice and we take photos with people if they wish to do so. There might be a problem after concerts, when there are really a lot of people and you can't please everyone. But otherwise it's not a problem to sign an autograph, but what's best is to have a bit of a chat.
You've opened an Openstage platform, which makes it easier for your fans to access your activity. What has the response been like? Has it "stuck"?
It has stuck, but it's true that we constantly have to promote it. We've reached ten thousand fans on Openstage, which means that more than ten thousand people have access to exclusive things like, for example, hearing a pre-premiere snippet of our new single 'Šta bih ja', which was released in July. Besides that, they're always the first ones who can buy new articles, CDs, vinyls, and they will often have a chance to buy concert tickets on pre-sale, and maybe have some discounts too. We also get a lot of information out of it, which helps us going forwards. The fans tell us where they are and where they want to listen to us, so we can plan a tour based on that as well.
In 'Everybody's Waiting', a very intimate song, you highlight topics like anxiety, success, individualism ... How has success affected your lives?
Ever since Eurovision, we often get the feeling that we're not in control of our lives anymore. We are more or less dependent on a bigger goal and at least four other people. It seems like our future, our destiny is irrefutably linked now, and we often have a feeling that the individual can get lost within that.
I'm sure you're sticking with rock'n'roll. Nevertheless, are you still tempted by any other music genres?
We're staying based in rock'n'roll, but we can always add rhythms from other musical genres to our songs – from a hint of world music to jazz chords, electronic music, samba rhythms...
What do you think of Pil⁴?
We read Pil and we were always excited about the posters. We hope we will get another edition of the poster. (laughter) We're glad that Pil still exists, that it's just like the one we knew from our childhoods. The fact that we were already on a Pil poster once means a lot to us.
⁴Pil is a Slovenian magazine for pre-teens and young teens which has been published since 1948 and has been an important part of many Slovenians' childhoods and teenage years.

Amulet RE-read: book 7
It’s interesting how Emily gets ready for the day.
If you take a look at page 12 panel 3, the book that Trellis is reading is called memory walk.
Max must have trusted Emily with the location of Algos island.
A bit of foreshadowing from Cogsley.
I don’t know why Cogsley didn’t remember that Enzo and Rico were not on the ship.
I wonder how the submarine docks?
General Pil should have known that Navin was going to do that.
Pil should have expected that Riva would send people to find them.
I think that Ikol is the one bringing Emily to the camp.
I think that the war was supposed to start later but because the Cielis guard found the ship the war was started early.
Gabilan is right that Ikol is choosing Stonekeepers for there weakness.
I believe that the ship will activate if Ikol would win.
Ikol must have put the new information in the cube.
Ikol did not want young Trellis from knowing that truth.
Ikol probably is the one making the computer not find Emily and Trellis.
They look like chess pieces because that’s how Ikol sees them.
If you take a look at page 136 panel 4 you will see chess pieces on the gas pump mirror.
If you remember the first post you will know that the car’s engine die but the barrier was not damaged.
Emily’s Inerself knows something is not right.
I wonder how Earth was discovered by the space program.
Makes sense that the elf king tried to dismantle the space program since he is being control by an alien force.
Riva must have told the Cielis about the resistance bace in space so that Karen, Misikit and Leon can go there to help.

Random facts about Petr Pavel that I learned from a free sample of the audio-version of his memoirs:
he had ADHD as a child, however the only diagnosis he ever received was “little shit”
whenever his mother would have finished folding the laundry, baby Petr would helpfully unfold it again to “help it dry better”
he refused the kindergarten afternoon nap so insistently that his teachers just gave up and released him into the garden like a wild animal
his “first successful mission” took place when he was three and his father sent him alone down the street to get a bottle of sauerkraut. His mother was not amused.
he first jumped out of a plane at 14. He needed a signed permission from his parents, which his father provided without hesitation. His mother thought they were both mad.
Mr. Pavel the Elder did not want his son to drink before he turned 18. His way to achieve that was to get the 16 y/o Petr so blackout drunk at a family gathering that the future general didn’t even touch alcohol for the next several years and even in college he only drank weak spritzer.
“And I, like a complete idiot, was so damn proud of myself for being allowed to drink that I just poured everything right down my throat. God, was I sick afterwards. For two days at least.”
his father also stressed the importance of detailed school notes to such a degree, that even 40 years later at NATO meetings, Pavel would make notes so detailed that diplomats soon learned not to say or promise anything within his earshot, because they knew their words would enter written record and get brought up if ever they tried to go back on them.

skywing redesign + headcanons
Tumblr media
birds of the sky,,.,
physical traits
small little fellas, in order to be the fastest fliers they are the smallest of the pyrrhian tribes! but still bigger than the pantalan bugs
most of my headcanons really just focus around making them more flight focused
i know it’s canon that they have huge wings, but i make their wings fucking huuuuuuuge like their wings are discounted when scaling their size in relation to other pyrrhian dragons but if it wasn’t, they would be “bigger” comparatively
also their wing membrane stretches partway down their tail in order to really catch the air
their shoulders have locking mechanisms like albatrosses perhaps
also,,, for aesthetic purposes,, i think they have those little butterfly tail things like swallowtails or luna moths
they have short tails so less drag is created
their horns are very long and branching, but they bend back and tend to follow the curve of the spine/neck so that they don’t stick out and create excess drag when skywings are flying
this one exists in theory more than in drawings,,, but they would have those faceplates that owls/hawks/birds of prey have that angle air into their ears in order to hear better when they're flying
they have relatively small/thinnish bodies, with honeycomb structured bones (i really just redesigned them around flight tbh)
they don’t really have “spines” but they have plated scales that can be ruffed up around their neck
colors have a huge range, basically any color the sky can be a skywing can be, but i think maybe their eggs only hatch during the daytime? so they don’t overlap with nightwings in color a lot
i think reds and oranges are perhaps still the most common? but blues, purples, yellows, and even pinks aren’t unheard of
Tumblr media
i also think their scales can match the cloud formations during their hatching
culture and societyyyy/ family structure
skywings have family units! not really nuclear families how we’d think though because i really hate limiting fictional dragons to a western understanding of family structure
however i do think fewer partners are involved, like 2-3, raising their hatchlings under one roof
still a strong community, but with dragonets returning to one house for the night
i think there’s certainly a “town” daycare somewhat that young dragonets will go to and be communally watched over
however skywings are comparatively more fractured than other tribes due to their home in the mountains, so it’s somewhat small pockets of dragons all looking after one another scattered through the mountains
as for school,, i think skywings have a stricter, more academic schooling model closer to what icewing schools are like? learning a variety of subjects in an academic setting rather than learning the family trade from the family
there are still skywings who have a family trade such as farming (herbs, root vegetables) and artisan trades like metalwork and glasswork. but these artisans often take in apprentices rather than raising their kids to be their apprentices
farming is pretty common because skywings don’t eat a lot of meat! in line with the whole,, bird,,, fast flying,, etc, they have to digest lightweight things that are still high in protein, so they eat a lot of seeds and leafy greens
they don’t eat a lot of “heavy” meat like cows, pigs, etc, and they tend to avoid eating birds at all. some skywings do eat fish and rabbits though
skywings also have a pretty strong hierarchy within the castle that degrades pretty fast outside of the castle
although this begins to fade as queen ruby takes over
there wasn’t the circle system exactly, but it was very clear who scarlet favored, and the favorings of the queen directly correlated to jobs and housing given within the castle walls
this falls apart outside of the castle, where towns are generally kind
skywings have a lot of festivals/celebrations surrounding flying, racing etc
adrenaline seeking skywings will have crazy dangerous flight races through precarious pillars of rocks
on the topic of sports, falconry is super popular and falcons and other raptors are considered holy by basically all skywings
on certain days, festivals will be held where skywings decorate their wings with beads, thin fabrics, jewelry, feathers, ribbons, etc, and flaunt their wings, perform some tricks, etc
flutes, pipes, and wind chimes are very common for music! generally just any using wind to make noise instruments is common, like an ocarina!
another example of me making music more present in the world,,, many skywings can learn simple ish wind charms that give them semi control over the wind, while this is helpful during flight, skywings also use wind charms to essentially play the mountains as a huge instrument!
of COURSE skywings speak with hoots and chirps and tweets and basically any bird noises. like any and all bird noises. which meeeeannsssss skywings can also be really good mimics! not as good as rainwings but still very good at mimicking animals and other tribes
fashion and jewelry
alpacas are very common in the mountains, so spun wool fabrics are very common! shawls and coats and capes are very common
skywings have very diverse jewelry since the mountains give them access to a lot of metals and gems, but a lot of this jewelry is for royals and nobles, and commoners tend to wear simple metal bands and piercings
a lot of trade happens so thin, silky, gauzy materials are used for drapes and shawls
basically, a lot of fashion (especially closer to royalty and nobles) would be very inconvenient to fly in
and fashion for commoners is a lot more focused on wooly shawls and scarves to help skywings stay warm since they’re silly little guys living in the peaks of mountains
religious-y superstitions
so. much. bird. idolization
there is somewhat of a bird hierarchy but at the same time all birds are good birds
a very common religious “pilgrimage” for skywings is traveling around the continent and going birding. making and keeping birding journals.
multiple jobs revolve around the upkeep of birds, especially in the palace, there’s multiple different sectors that house exotic birds and are dedicated to the care of those birds
falconry is very common, as is all bird keeping
they’re not really considered pets as much as they are companions
when a dragons companion bird dies, it gets a skywings funeral since skywing and bird souls are considered to be one in the same
if you see a bird and the bird sees you it means fate has turned her wide eyes unto you. if the bird doesn’t see you it means fate passes over you (for now, it always comes back around)
scrying with feathers
like skywings will have bundles of feathers and then scry by asking questions and throwing the bundle of feathers onto the ground
the answer depends on the orientation of the feathers
since skywings burn bodies, but bones don’t burn, they keep the skeletons usually in very fancy clay urns
this wasn’t happening during the war with ruby, so there’s currently a huuuuuge project within the kingdom of recovering the skeletons and trying to match the bones to put them in an urn
it’s very slow moving work but dragons also think it’s essential
there’s kind of a paris esque catacombs being created under the castle where all the urns are ending up, but dragons are trying to make it look a lot more lively
gems embedded into the walls, skylights when they can, etc
skywings do the same thing with bird bones! especially the bones of companion birds
the birds bones will be kept in their own urn until the dragon dies, at which point an urn big enough for the bones to be mixed will be produced
also,, in line with wanting to make magic more prevalent in all the tribes outside of animus,, skywings being bonded with birds will extend the bird’s lifespan
the bird wouldn’t get the dragon’s lifespan, but a blue jay would live to be ~20ish rather than 7 years
also (random but related to birds) some icewings were freaked the fuck out by skywings because icewings consider birds to be BAD LUCK. icewings who live not in the castle, but a little bit north of the more populated border, do sky burials with their dead because the ground is too hard for graves. so these icewings consider carrion birds to be kind, but also omens of impending death, so when they roll up to the skywing kingdom and some fuckass has a black culture absolutely chilling there’s a lot of 👁👁
i think skywings can be super cool and interesting but i do kind of struggle to spice up their designs,, bc i dont like drawing feathers. maybe one day ill learn! idk. but i think theyre funky fresh

BLVN review: Paradise (PIL/SLASH)
Paradise is an 18+ BL visual novel developed by PIL/SLASH, who some might recognize for previous titles such as Shingakkou -noli me tangere-. The scenario writer is Kyuuyouzawa Lychee, who has previously worked on CAGE OPEN and CAGE CLOSE. The Japanese version of Paradise was originally released in 2017, but this month it's also getting an English release by JAST BLUE, which you can pre-order here! As usual the review will be mostly spoiler-free so I definitely recommend to buy the game yourself too!
Story Protagonist Azuma works at a local convenience store and his life is anything but eventful. He barely earns enough to pay his bills and also has no real ambitions. To his surprise, he suddenly receives a lottery ticket and wins a 6-day trip to Togajima Island. Hoping he would meet some cute girls during his trip, he's disappointed to find out the only other participants are also men. Soon Azuma realizes that this was not the luxurious trip he was hoping for...

Main characters
Tumblr media
Azuma The protagonist of the game. His life is rather tedious and he doesn't really have any ambitions or dreams for the future, so he works at a convenience store and earns just enough money to survive. Voiced by Irakusa Netoru who's known for voicing Seiji in Room No.9 and of course Eiden in NU: carnival.
Mitsugi Architectural designer. Although he looks like the lone wolf type, he's a person with a lot of common sense. Despite that though, he gets angry surprisingly fast. Voiced by Ichijou Hikaru.
Matsuda Salesman. A responsible person who's good at taking care of others. If there's conflict, he takes a step back to analyze the situation and to choose the most logical solution. Looks older than he really is (he's 27). Voiced by Tetrapot Noboru.
Takara University student. He's very friendly and innocent looking. He's often teased by those around him because of his exaggerated reactions. Voiced by Yumachi Kakeru.
Hongo Tour guide. He's soft spoken and tries his best to be polite to everyone. Has a strong sense of responsibility. Voiced by Shinomori Hibiki.
Shimada Freelance photographer who joined the tour to take photos. Always carries his camera with him to take pictures whenever he feels like it. Voiced by Kishiri Tooru.
Tumblr media
General info This game has three main routes (Mitsugi, Matsuda and Takara) but Hongo and Shimada do have their own endings as well and appear quite often in every route. There are also four other characters on the island (Kido, Uchimura and two unnamed guys). I actually wasn't sure if there was a recommended route order for this game, but I'd personally recommend Mitsugi > Matsuda > Takara. Though you can start with Matsuda's route too I don't think it affects the story much. I used a guide to get all the endings which you can find here, but you can also enable "easy mode" in the game which kind of guides you to the route you want to play. Usually, the bad ends were pretty easy to get too.
Just like some of PIL/SLASH's other games, this game does have horror themes and some of the CGs are a bit graphic, so be aware of that! If you're familiar with their other games I think you'll be fine, but I figured I'd give some kind of warning.
Tumblr media
Let's start with a short summary of the common route! Azuma's dreams of travelling to a luxurious resort are already crushed when he's about to board the ship and realizes the island is uninhabited. Furthermore, he also learns that they will be staying in wooden cabins and have to cook their own food. Nevertheless, he tries to make the best out of the situation and actually ends up enjoying the first day together with his new friends. This positive mood doesn't last long however, as the ship that was supposed to deliver them fresh food every day stops showing up. Not only that, but they also lose communication with the outside world, as Hongo, who's the tour guide, is not able to contact anyone on the mainland.
At first the group tries to stay calm, hopeful that help might arrive soon. Aware that food shortages will be one of the first problems they will run into, they split up into different groups to look for ways to find food on the island. This proves to be quite difficult, as Matsuda comments that the currents around the island are unusual and the fish don't seem to be biting. The others don't have much luck either, as there aren't many edible plants or mushrooms on the island.
Tumblr media
While exploring the island, they discover an abandoned village which most likely been abandoned since the Meiji period. Weirdly enough it doesn't seem like the former inhabitants took their belongings with them, almost as if they had to suddenly leave in a hurry. Another strange thing the group notices is that the storehouse has a jail cell in the basement, as if people had been imprisoned there in the past. Mitsugi mentions that this is not unusual for houses that were built during this time period, but it does make you wonder why people would need this on an island, and Azuma thinks the same.
Tumblr media
Moving on to each route, I played Mitsugi's route first because I liked his character design. He's an architectural designer who came to the island for some work-related reasons, and at first he has no interest in talking to Azuma. This pisses Azuma off so he immediately tries to start a fight with Mitsugi. This kind of continues for at least a few days, but it was really funny to see their interactions. I was curious to see how their relationship would develop in this route. I think his route is a good one to start with because it doesn't really explain the full story about what's going on in the island, but I think it gives the player some interesting hints about what might happen in the other routes. I also recommend playing the bad ends, as you can also get Hongou's ending in Mitsugi's route.
The next route I played was Matsuda, who works as an salesman/office worker and traveled to the island for a well-deserved vacation. I wasn't sure what to think of him at first because he just seemed like a nice guy who liked fishing, so some parts of his route surprised me a little...! You can also get Shimada's ending in this route.
After finishing the first two routes, I played Takara's route. He's a student who similar to Azuma, also won the ticket for this trip. I think this route is locked (?) and for the right reasons because if you play it first it will spoil the entire game. In this route you finally learn more about the island. I can't really say more because it would spoil the ending, but definitely play the game until the very end so you can find out yourself!
Tumblr media
Final impressions First of all, one thing I really liked is how the game really has no boring moments. I think my favorite character is still Mitsugi, but Azuma is such a funny protagonist and I always think it's fun how PIL/SLASH combines elements like horror and humor. I think I said something similar when I reviewed Dystopia no Ou, but these games always have such fun characters. I also liked the illustrations drawn by Kotomi Youji, the CGs are really nice and detailed.
Now I wouldn't say it's the most serious game ever, but honestly I think it doesn't need to be. This is one of these games in which I enjoyed the interactions between the characters the most. If you're a fan of BL games with dark themes I think it's definitely worth it to give this one a try! As usual, PIL/SLASH made sure to add some pretty dark and disturbing bad ends to this game, so I definitely recommend playing those too if you're into that. The dark themes are however also present in the routes that lead to the good endings, so if you're not comfortable with noncon scenes for example, this game might not be for you.
I played the trial version of the Japanese version years ago, but I had a good time playing the game in English this time and finishing all of the endings. Other than some minor typos and the game showing me hints when I wasn't using easy mode (I'm not sure if this also happens in the Japanese version) the English version was enjoyable to play. The game is also only 20 USD which is quite a good deal, since the Japanese versions tend to be more expensive.
Lastly, if you're looking for more content after finishing the game, Paradise actually also has two sequels, -MUSUBI- which is basically a fandisc that continues the story, and -KIWAME-, which is more of a re-telling of the first game's story. Apparently Takara's brother shows up in these games as a new character. Right now they are only available in Japanese though, so be aware of that!

Love in the Big City: Part Four- Regret, Rain, Love, and Loss
Well, it’s official. Love in the Big City, Part Four may have been short but it cemented itself as my favorite portion of the book. I asked @antonhur when he was so graciously answering questions what his favorite scene in the book was, and I can see why he said when they were lying in the rain in Bangkok; Late Rainy Season Vacation indeed. When I first started this book, I was talking with a few mutuals like @bengiyo and @lurkingshan wondering how I would feel about Young by the end of this book, because I was not a huge fan of his character in Part One. But I have very much enjoyed seeing his progress across these parts. I said already in my post about Part One that my biggest struggle with Young and the thing I think primarily contributes to the change in his friendship with Jaehee is that he cannot be serious, he cannot, does not allow himself to feel. And in Part Four, he’s finally admitting to it.
“I was too late to put things back the way they’d been” “That is how my memories of him are preserved under glass, safe and pristine, forever apart from me” “I’ve no choice but to stand at arm’s length”
Part Four is my favorite part of this novel because Part Four is full of ghosts. Not only the ghost of Gyu-ho, but the ghost of all that came before. The rooftop party with Gyu-ho where he got plastered on whatever alcohol he could, where now he sits and drinks champagne, a ghost of both his relationship and the way he spent his college years. Going through Habibi’s wallet, a ghost of when he snuck a look at Hyung’s secrets all those years before. The text messages Young saw on Habibi’s phone about a family member with cancer, a ghost of his mother’s own diagnosis. Habibi himself, getting unexpectedly deep for only a moment before forcing the conversation away from anything real, a ghost of Young himself, and all the times he just could not bring himself to be open and honest with the people around him.
Just like learning about the HIV diagnosis recontextualizes everything that came before it (see a wonderful essay about that by @twig-tea here) ending this book with the admission that his only wish a year ago was for Gyu-ho recontextualizes my understanding of how aware Young was about his own modus operandi. I operated under a much different assumption that Young didn’t know what he had until it was gone, that Young was not aware of how far his fears ran, of how distant he had made himself. I assumed Part Four was where Young starts to realize himself the way he’d behaved in the past and how that contributed to the downfall of his relationship to Gyu-ho. But now I think he knew it all along and he just didn’t trust us enough to say it until the end. Because I’m not quite sure even by the end of this book Young trusts us enough to be completely honest.
I talked in my post for Part Three about HIV treatments and prevention methods, and mentioned Truvada, (generic name: emtricitabine-tenofovir) which is a pre-exposure prophylaxis medication that can be taken to prevent someone without HIV from getting HIV should they have an exposure. I mentioned there that at the time of Young’s relationship with Gyu-ho, Truvada was not available on the market in South Korea. But as it turns out, Teno-Em (tenofovir-emtricitibine), a generic PrEP medication, was available in Bangkok by 2015. In Part Four, Young describes going to a pharmacy and getting a generic medication, and he writes the errand in such a way as to make the whole thing seem shady. And maybe it was. But maybe he was just afraid, and that fear colored his own perceptions of what was going down:
My expectation had been that the place would be hidden away in some seedy alley, but it was right there on the main street. The interior was almost the same as any other pharmacy. I showed the pharmacist a picture of the generic version of what I needed. The pharmacist, if he really was a pharmacist, took out a bottle of pills and explained to us, in English, how they worked. He said that taking just one a day at a set time was enough to perfectly prevent the disease. He really said the word “perfectly.” How could he be so confident? He added that taking two of the pills before risky intercourse and then a pill every twenty-four hours for two more doses was enough to prevent transmission.
The facts are these: the pharmacy was on a main street, the pharmacy looked like a pharmacy, the pharmacist was able to explain how the medication worked, and the pill regimen for prevention was accurate to the pill regimen for PrEP.
Could they have still been shady? Sure. But I think it is far more likely that Young and his historically terrible experiences with medicine have colored his perception of healthcare and placed doubt in his head over the legitimacy of this medication. Which, learning that Young and Gyu-ho have unprotected sex in Bangkok, makes me wonder if Young’s doubts about the pharmacy added another reason for him to let Gyu-ho go to Shanghai alone, if the meds they got in Bangkok weren’t real, if they didn’t work, then he likely gave Gyu-ho HV.
Young talked about stains in this part, about permanency- the soy sauce on the mattress, the crack in the toilet and he talked about fleeting things- immediately losing the shape of Habibi’s face when he stepped outside the door, the lantern burning up and turning to ash with all the dreams, all the wishes Young had, or just the one. Regret seems to hold a permanent place in Young’s spirit, as does loss. Love is something I think he thought did not exist, or if it did then it was fleeting. He loved Jaehee and lost her, his first boyfriend died, the obsession he had over Hyung could only be described as dickmatized. But when he gave away Gyu-ho’s love, when he let Gyu-ho go to Shanghai alone, it was one of the few times in the entire novel we saw Young grieve. He fully collapsed under the weight of it all, barely leaving bed, not having the energy to maintain his typical routines, trying to root out the memories of Gyu-ho in his head by writing him out, and killing him over and over and over again.
I find myself stuck, thinking about what is perhaps my favorite line in the book:
“Sometimes his very existence to me is the existence of love itself”
Gyu-ho’s existence is Young’s idea of love; to kill Gyu-ho, to remove him from existence is to kill Young’s idea of love. “The made-up Gyu-ho in my writing got hurt or died many times, and is always resurrected, as if love saves his life- whereas the real Gyu-ho lives and breathes and keeps moving on.” Young’s regret is a permanency in his life, just as his love for Gyu-ho is a permanency. All he wished for was Gyu-ho, but Young’s inability to be honest, deeply, emotionally honest, all the fear, all the emptiness, all the pain got in the way. I am not a person who minds a melancholy end, regret, remorse, grief, love. These are all a part of life. The only thing I hope is that one day Young can lay down in the pouring rain and feel peace the way Gyu-ho did that day in Bangkok.

OK spent about 5 minutes on the spoilers tag,
Cringed, got pissed, concluded the show was written by a bunch of single teenagers who started to watch porn recently and wondered by chance into the kink page there.
And I thought the teacher bit in S4 was bad enough, I was wrong.
So overall I was right, no one dies (could have actually made an impact at this point tbh), Christopher was reduced to salad bowls breaker again, I will remind you that was three years ago, more if you consider dumbass time jumps on 911.
He was reduced to pre-breakdown, pre-therapy Eddie. For that matter they regressed Eddie too to that same Era.
I was right about the T dragged for another season. I didn't think it would be after making a cringe daddy kink joke after Bobby nearly dies T, but here we are.
I think I preferred, "Christopher is a sensitive boy", teacher Ana kink cringe, than this cringe, but here we are again.
And not even a Buck hugging Eddie, because his kid decided to go back to Texas- btw super weird, kid just leaving his school, his friends, his many gfs, everything he knows to go back to grandparents who babied him and prevented him from doing anything on his own.
Tim really came in, gave everyone retcon pils and told them, you are three years backwards, we just started S4, let's crap on this storyline one more time with feeling.
I am afraid to ask what happened to madney and henren.
This season epically sucked, because we were dragged into the past kicking and screaming when we were all ready to finally face a better future.
For the slow ones out there, I don't mean buddie. I mean characters wise, I mean characters growth wise, I mean better written storylines wise, I mean for it to not look like a firefighter parody about first responders and relationships in general.
I feel like we are stuck in our dumb teenage years and not going anywhere. Ever.
So with heavy heart, I am closing on this crap show. And going to enjoy what's left of Station 19. Because I just can't with this anymore.
This show is just dead, they should have ended it last year.
