currently thinking about how scaramouche spared Yoshinori (Kazuha's great grandpa) only because he didn’t want to kill Niwa's descendants. but now the both the Niwa and Kaedehara clans are completely destroyed save for Kazuha. even the Isshin bladesmithing art itself is lost with the Kagotsurube Isshin being the only weapon left... Like imagine sparing your found family's descendants only to find out that they died out and there's almost nothing and no one left.

also,,,, what happened to the original Kaedehara clan??? like the current/recent Kaedehara people are actually Niwa by blood. Did the Kaedehara that adopted Yoshinori not have children of their own?

anyways i love that you know that someone is a Niwa by the red piece of hair because their name means "red feather" — i wish that they actually showed them all like that though since they show katsuragi and kazuha with the red and scara recognized yoshinori because of appearance so he had it too, even though they gave yoshinori an npc look

Imagine Scaramouche on his wanderings, finding himself in Liyue and stumbling upon the Crux. He ignores the crew until he notices a familiar streak of red hair. He freezes, his eyes widening as his nights at Tatarasuna came rushing back to him. Katsuragi. . 

As if in a trance, he finds himself walking towards the individual, his eyes glossing over as tears bubbled in them. His heart was pounding, his body violently trembling. What was he going to do? Would Katsuragi even recognize him? 

He hadn’t even noticed that the man’s hair color, other than the streak, was different. In his daze, all he could see was his long-dead lover. To him, the stranger was Katsuragi. He engulfed the man in a hug as soon as he reached him, burying his face against him and sobbing.

Kaedehara Kazuha was confused, to say the least. He wrapped his arms around the other man in his shock, blinking at him. “Sir, are you alright?”

Scaramouche froze.

That voice. . it was different. The man's voice was calming, it was nice. . Why did such a lovely voice cause his heart to feel such an intense pain? He let go, his cheeks flushing from embarrassment. He quickly backed away, pulling his hat down to hide his face as he scurried off, his other hand placed over his Vision and squeezing it. His heart had shattered the moment Kazuha had started speaking.

Kazuha made an attempt to chase him, feeling bad for clearly upsetting him, but the Wanderer disappeared into the crowd.
