This was a short comic, but I spent 8 hours staring at the panel lines. I had 3 different line thicknesses drawn and I had to ask a lot of people (two---they didn’t even know I posted fanart; they must’ve been incredibly confused) for help on which one to use. Of course, in the end I went with the original line thickness!! Haha!! HA

Okay I feel like I must share this with you because I love The Witcher for like 7 years now and I’ve always kinda shipped Geralt with Jaskier so here we go:

As a Polish long-term Witcher fan, I LOVE how much attention this ship is getting after the series! It makes me so happy! But there is one thing that makes me laugh when I compare it to the books. I’ve seen many of those super adorable fanarts and fic ideas with Jaskier taking care of Geralt and gently treating his wounds. And I adore them, they are super adorable! BUT! In the books Geralt and Jaskier are both absolute idiots when it comes to things like that. I swear, they share one brain cell and that brain cell is drunk. They have no idea at all of how to take care of themselves when it comes to health. If I remember correctly, there is a scene in the books where someone catches them pouring some of Geralt’s potions on his open wound and trying to stitch it with the thread. I feel like in many fanfics Jaskier is like “Aww, Geralt, let me gently wash your wound and then apply some ointment with love~” while in the books he was more like “pOUR yOuR tOXiC pOTiOnS On iT anD bUrN iT witH FirE aNd seE wHaT hApPeNs”.

I thought it might be usefull for some fanfic writers out there. I personally love both versions. I adore the soft vibe of Jaskier being perfect caregiver for Geralt, but I still also love the idea of them being absolute idiots with no chance for survival until some sorcerer or sorceress takes care of them.

Dandelion truly stands there like “geralt is my dearest friend but I don’t think I’m a good person to him, I don’t really know him, I’m not really that good of a friend to him.” As if Geralt isn’t standing there with his repressed feelings prepared to kill everyone in the room for him.
