The FestiAtlas CoMúN proposes to reflect on architecture, public space and the city. It invites you to tour the House of Culture, a historic building that crosses the Buenos Aires block of Buenos Aires, through installations, exhibitions, meetings and activities of different groups that present new ways of approaching the idea of the common.

The House of Culture in the old palace of the newspaper La Prensa, was transformed into a walkable assembly that invites you to appropriate everyday materials. In the central patio, scaffolding, plants and textiles, among many others, were part of this universe of ephemeral devices that contribute to building the different atmospheres of our urban imaginaries. In the old space occupied by the printing press, in the basement, various performances took place between pneumatic structures, lights and reflections.

In this way, we highlight the resilient capacity of this heritage to build new contemporary narratives that recover the value of the spatial condition of its architecture and its history.

This Festival is part of the international exhibition “An Atlas of Commoning” that was also exhibited at the MARQ (Museum of Architecture) brought by the Catedra Gropius.
