There are a few jokes in Ace Attorney that don’t translate well but I think the worst victim of it I’ve seen is Raymond Shields. The whole thing with his hugs being a joke about how overfamiliar Americans are did not make it across at ALL

my favorite show? yeahhhh it’s this show called hannibal? no it’s not on any streaming service. what’s it about? okay so there’s this guy called will graham (we love him, btw) and he has a lot of dogs and superpowers basically- yes it’s a cop show. doesn’t matter. anyway he meets this psychiatrist called hannibal lecter- yes THAT hannibal lecter. but he’s younger he looks really hot and wears ugly suits. okay so hannibal is like obsessed with him and starts feeding him people- no it’s not disgusting, why? actually the cooking sequences are the best part of the show. and hannibal is gay for will but he frames him for murder a little bit but first they kinda adopt a daughter together because will killed her father. no it’s really cute I swear they’re kind of adorable. no they don’t eat the daughter- actually yes, will does, but only a little bit, only her ear and hannibal didn’t really have a choice you know, because of the whole framing thing. what genre? well I wanna say a thriller/crime/drama but you should watch it as a rom-com. it’s a rom-com who am I kidding. did I convince you. come back. hello. no I promise it’s fun. it’s not even that disgusting. mostly. does it end with a cliffhanger? uhhhhhhhhh well not a HANGER per se

i'm sorry čd but the whole concept of having high speed capable locomotives and then only running them at slightly higher speeds than standard locomotives is beyond parody to me.
