in other "the defamation of amber heard is going to be a detriment to abuse survivors and women everywhere" news, german news outlet t-online has published some hard-hitting investigative journalism about how luke mockridge — a comedian who has been accused of sexual violence by 10 women, following the initial rape accusation by his ex girlfriend and comedienne colleague ines anioli — is the poor victim of a witch hunt that would somehow give financial gain and fame to his accusers while ruining his career (article, criticism). mind you, the guy still gets hired by one of the largest TV stations in the country and has lost exactly nothing. the article reads like it's written by some MRA whose ex wife took the kids and the house in the divorce. i can't believe this gets passed off as serious journalism now, but then again literally a day later we got another big article, in the welt this time, about how public access television is transing our kids (happy pride! article, criticism), so maybe we're just all doomed at this point.
