For years, we have rightfully called out Disney for their piss-poor Queer representation across the board, and they deserve all the smoke.

In the same breath, I also need to say that through 5 episodes of the Willow series, they are kind of getting it right. I am pleasantly surprised.

I fully accept that I might have to walk that back depending on how the series ends, but as of now, the handling of Kit and Jade's relationship has been sweet and flirty and angsty and fun. This relationship has been all the things, and it's just refreshing to watch.

Throw in a motley crew of adventurers on a never-ending quest, magic, nostalgia, and some campy goodness, and you get a delightful show.

how do you think an amangela enemies/rivals-to-lovers can go 👀 i feel like its so hard to think about them as rivals because they’re so sweet with each other (even when they purposely annoy each other lol)

i am of two minds when i ship amangela in a dynamic like rivals-to-lovers.

mixing up their current dynamic. in my mind, it is possible for the rivalry aspect to come before everything else. it could be that angela or amanda are in less secure places in their lives when they first meet each other and seeing someone so similar to them sparks a territorial and unchecked "no that's my thing!" sort of energy which comes out in their typical annoy each other dynamic. likely the rivalry is one-sided (angela in my headcanon) for them to later on realize that they would actually get along if they stopped being up their own ass about it. it progresses into a tentative friendship that blooms into the same sweetness we know from them while also being combative (bc we love spice) and then love teehee 🥰

niche aus. it's like writing a movie in my mind that i know that both amanda and angela can pull off bc they're amazing actors who melt into various personas well. so rivalry? i can picture that in my head almost clearly bc of all the content i've watched from them. like i know there are some like scenarios that are closer to their personalities but they have range. like honestly? the possibilities for them are endless 🤔🤷🏻‍♀️
