and, of course:
10 & 16 ❤️
of course 🤭🤭🥰
10. do you have a controversial f1 take?
boy, do i ever... 💀 let me think of one that i'm willing to share, lmao. HMMM.
my controversial f1 take would probably be... that max verstappen might be a great driver, but he's not a generational talent. and also, he's still not a clean driver 👎 (this is controversial because of the large amount of max girlies overtaking tumblr lately... have fun besties, but i will NEVER be one of you. <3)
16. what do you think of the FIA?
this can best be summed up with three words:

This might be a dumb question but what’s brocedes. I know basically nothing about f1 but i’m intrigued.
AHHHHH IM SO GLAD SOMEONE ASKED ME ABOUT BROCEDES BECAUSE I LOVE TALKING ABOUT THEM
first of all have to say its not a dumb question at all bc it’s f1 lore and before i had gotten into f1 i also didn’t know about brocedes omg
but brocedes is my beloved lewis hamilton and nico rosberg
or like crofty (f1 commentator) likes to say: friend. teammate. childhood buddy. rival. everything, but a lover.
i can’t believe this has actually been said about them by a commentator LIKE
so lewis and nico used to be childhood best friends; they were karting together, sharing hotel rooms, eating pizza, wrestling etc etc just being silly lil kids together— this was before their f1 careers.
then both of them end up in formula 1— although they start out in different teams until 2013 when lewis signs for mercedes and they end up as teammates.
now the thing about being teammates in formula 1 is you’re not only teammates, but also rivals. f1 has a constructor’s championship (for the team with the most points at the end of the season) and the driver’s championship (for a single driver— the driver with most points by the end of the season obviously).
a lot of people focus specifically on the 2016 spanish grand prix— lewis and nico collide taking both of them out of the race and shit goes down. their whole relationship and friendship goes down the drain, but tbh a lot of shit had already been going down beforehand, lewis had already announced they weren’t friends in 2014 due to their rivalry within the team (a lot of shit has gone down between them— but i’m pretty sure him saying they’re not friends was because nico got accused of purposely sabotaging a qualifying session for lewis, i could have my timeline a bit messed up though so i’m not 100% sure at the moment)
but yeah what brocedes comes down to is that they used to be best friends became teammates in formula 1— but also rivals (because formula 1 is toxic like that LMAO) and then their friendship got TOTALLY ruined
they could barely look at each other, even though they worked together, AND THEN nico rosberg wins the world championship in 2016 (by this time lewis had already won the driver’s championship three times; once with his old team and twice with mercedes as nico’s teammate).
anyways nico wins the championship and IMMEDIATELY retires. he has spoken out about how much he had to sacrifice, in both the sport but also his personal life etc., for this win and he isn’t willing to sacrifice all that again for another championship.
their friendship has been stained by their rivalry and it’s never been the same as it used to be— now i know i’ve been talking about them a lot and i promise i’m rounding it up now BUT it’s so important to me that people know about how nico has said they live in the same building complex!!!!!
like after all this they end up living in the same building in monaco ((obviously lewis is still racing so it’s not like they run into each other daily but still a very important detail to me)) and it’s been said (pretty sure by nico himself) that lewis even bought a birthday present for nico’s daughter and honestly i think about it a lot— i think about them a lot.

Get to Know Me - Formula 1 Edition
Who is your favorite driver – Charles Leclerc (but Max comes a close second)
What are your favorite teams – Ferrari, Red Bull, and McLaren
Which track is your favorite – Monza! My car is named after the track as well and it was the first GP I actually watched!
When did you start watching Formula 1 – technically it was Zandvoort 2023 but Monza was the first race that I actually knew what was going on
What are the best races you’ve watched – Singapore 2023 (for obvious reasons) and the Las Vegas GP
Which retired driver was your favorite – Kimi Räikkönen
Who is your favorite team principal – Toto Wolff
What do you think the standings are going to look like for the 2024 season – uhhhh, Red Bull is going to be P1 by the skin of their teeth because McLaren looks so strong (and hopefully Ferrari will come second or third again)
Who is your dream driver line-up – ooooo Max and Charles, 100% even if it’s not possible
Do you have a controversial f1 take – I have a lot…um…one being that (this hurts me) but I’m really doubting that Lando and Charles are WDC material. I could get into a whole rant about this, but just because of either unreliable cars, devotion to a crappy team, and multiple driver mistakes…yeah, imma leave that here (pls do not come for me)
What driver do you wish was on the grid this year – the man who was able to beat Max Verstappen into Q3, the one and only, Liam Lawson
Which driver do you wish wasn’t on the grid this year – CHECO PEREZ
Is there a track that you would get rid of – Miami (3 US GPs is so much – that or Qatar cause it’s so hot and detrimental to the drivers)
Who do you think is the GOAT – Schumacher, definitely
Which f1 driver do you think would win if they went go-karting – Charles, he does the annual Jules fundraiser and wins, so I think he’d be a little more in tune than the drivers who don’t seem to go karting usually
Have I ever been go-karting – no, but there’s an Andretti Karting near my house and I plan to go this summer
Do you think you could drive an f1 car – no, but make it automatic and you’d have to pry my dead body out of the seat
What is your favorite f1-related quote – one I say a lot is “if you have a problem, change your f-ing car” that and “KI-KI-KI- RAH…KI-KI-AYE”
Which livery are you most excited for – McLaren, I LOVED stealth mode
Which team do you think is going to surprise everyone – McLaren and Williams?? (hoping internally that Ferrari actually has built a competitive car)
Which team do you think will disappoint people this year – Ferrari, Mercedes, and maybe Williams (they have a lot on them and I hope they don’t switch Logan out early)
Do you plan on attending a race this year – sadly no…but for 2025 when I graduate, I plan to go to COTA
Which driver would you most like to meet – Logan or Max (I’d be terrified to meet Charles, feel like he’d judge me in french)
Do you watch other motorsports of just f1 – just f1 for now, I’ve actually have watched an irl NASCAR race, and the endurance racing looks so interesting
Do you have any f1 merch – I have lots! (t-shirts, red bull cans [is that merch?], vintage Ferrari bomber jacket, the Lego McLaren f1 car)

9+15?
hiiii! thanks so much for asking :DD
9. who is your dream driver line-up?
OOOOHHH, this is a great one!! not exactly easy to answer, but definitely a GREAT question. hmmmm.
so, i think a lot of you are expecting me to say "pierre & charles at ferrari!! 🫶" and yes.... in some ways that is my dream, but in others it's my absolute nightmare. i think that they would have the best PR videos and challenges EVER (so in that sense, i'd really love it) but. if they were ever to fight for a championship, i think that charles would win it, and that.... could start a brocedes type situation. then again, maybe it wouldn't, and maybe they'd be fine (charles has repeatedly said that they've always agreed to keep on- and off-track stuff separate) but still... their friendship is one of my favourite things in f1, and i'd hate to see it turn into a nico-and-lewis situation.
so who would my ACTUAL dream pairing be? well... i've thought about it a lot, and tbh, i think i might like the charles leclerc & oscar piastri pairing at ferrari. in my dream scenario, charles would win a championship that year, and oscar would get in a few wins too - but they would race each other very fairly and respectfully. charles would win, but oscar would give him a good, fair fight... and EVENTUALLY, when charles steps down from ferrari, oscar would step into his shoes and also win a championship for them.
i don't think this 👆 will ever actually happen, though, because oscar seems very solidly fixed in with mclaren for the foreseeable future. so my second-best dream scenario would probably be alex albon as charles' teammate in ferrari: he would never win a championship, but he'd be a very fair and very solid second driver, imo.
15. is there a track that you would get rid of?
HELL yes, and i don't even have to think about it for a second: Miami. there's not a single thing about that track that i don't hate, istg!!! since its inauguration, i don't think we've had a single actually GOOD race there. not to mention how unbelievably cringe the whole thing is - that fake marina? those god-awful driver intros? PLEASE. and the fact that it's yet another US race instead of a proper circuit somewhere that's actually good... yeah. HONESTLY. i would get rid of this track with the biggest smile on my face

F1: a colorised history 1/10 - text and graphics mine with thanks to Wikipedia and Reddit
text in photo below the cut :) if you spot any mistakes please let me know!
The first-ever World Championship for Drivers was concluded in just seven Grand Prix races in 1950, one of the shortest official calendars to date. Points were awarded to the top five finishers in each race on an 8–6–4–3–2 basis, and 1 point was awarded for the fastest lap of each race.
The 1950-1957 era was marked by the dominance of factory Italian and German cars, seeing the rise and fall of Alfa Romeo, the invincibility of Ferrari, and the technical genius of Mercedes, then known as Daimler-Benz. Giuseppe Farina would claim his first and only victory in a blood-red Alfa Romeo 158 in 1950, but the Alfettas struggled and eventually withdrew, making Ferrari practically invincible from 1952. The FIA (being the FIA) could not do anything about this and was in an embarrassing position as it had already announced that current regulations would last until 1954. Major manufacturers were already working to develop cars for the future regulation so there was a lack of serious competition. FIA eventually adopted Formula Two regulations for the 1952-53 seasons in an attempt to curb Ferrari dominance but this did not work very well, as Alberto Ascari won 11 of 16 races and thus the championships over these two years, remaining the last Italian driver to do so.
Daimler-Benz came to the formula in 1954, bringing with it the first desmodromic valves and direct fuel injection - their technological superiority was proven as they swept the next two seasons. This was sadly marred by a catastrophic crash at Le Mans in June, which killed driver Pierre Levegh and 82 other spectators, and prompted the constructor's exit from motorsport until 1994. The 1955 season was curtailed by tragedy, seeing the deaths of four drivers including Ascari, who crashed at Monaco before crashing again, this time fatally, during testing at Monza four days later.
Following Daimler-Benz’s departure, Juan-Manuel Fangio, affectionately known as El Maestro, won two more titles with Ferrari and Maserati in 1956 and 1957, totalling five titles in this period with four different teams, and holding the highest winning percentage in F1 at 47.06% to this day.
