THEN HE LEAVES and is upset because like partner is just someone he does everything* together. like, zane was jean's partner but he was never his best friend

and jean is confused because to him with jer it's somehow deeper and also !!! he's got a huge crush so no, he does not consider jeremy his best friend, but it's his partner and HE WISH he could become his boyfriend or love partner and so on

when shawn finds out jeremy got upset he laughs. and then he teases jeremy about it (and maybe, just maybe, he also teases jean wuth it but from the other pov because, like, jean could have handled it waaaay better)

The Olympics posts are my fav. I keep thinking about the so-called “anti-intimacy beds.” Shawn would def be texting stuff about testing them out ahaha

anyways i did make a few texts for the inbox but for some context hehe i’m assuming guests do not get the olympian treatment (i wouldnt know tho) so in my mind the trojans and foxes have booked their own rooms but are grabted access to the olympics etc (idek) so yeah they’re not sleeping on cardboard beds LMAOOO but its okay because shawn has found a way to test one out (at the expense of kevin’s name?)

but uhhhh you’re now making me think about jean playing a match with the trojans AGAINST the foxes, against kevin (and neil), with NO PRESSURE— nothing at stake.

just kevin day, the son of exy, using his charm and name to convince the olympics committee, or whoever is in charge, to use the court after the official olympics exy games just because he’s so obsessed and there’s no way he has come all this way just to watch?

and they’re all just having fun and kevin is being his obsessed fanatic self who is yelling at andrew to take the game seriously and andrew is looking at him with a bored expression telling him this is his vacation and he’s not obligated to stand on the court in the first place.

and it’s not even an official match so jean realises he doesn’t even have to worry about not ruining the trojans’ precious image; so he plays a mix of the less aggressive tactics he’s learned with the trojans while also falling back to his more aggressive tactics— and he’s never used a mix of both tactics which even catches kevin off guard and they’re all just so determined to prove something even though it’s supposed to be a friendly game (but let’s be real when has a friendly game ever been friendly?)

and jean is actually having fun. he realises he enjoys not having to worry about which tactics to use and not having to worry about the consequences. so what if they lose? it’s not an official game so it won’t even have any effect of their standings and what if they win? he can use it against kevin as leverage for as long as he likes.

and i’m not even going to think about whatever the score is going to end up being because idek— i just like to think that whenever jeremy scores a point jean goes over to celebrate. then there’s cat who makes such a great move while defending against neil that jean and cat click their sticks together proudly.

not to mention exy is an aggressive sport after all, so maybe jean hits kevin a little harder than he’s supposed to but instead of feeling remorseful he says LETS GOOO and kevin scoffes and says: “i thought you trojans were supposed to be nice?” but his tone is playful and he doesn’t seem to care at all that he just got floored. jean helps him up and even though jean’s helmet is covering his face and it’s hard to see his expression kevin is convinced jean is actually grinning under his helmet.

and oh my god i’m ranting so much and barely covered the jock truisms but in conclusion I AGREE WITH YOU— ITS NOT A WANT ITS A NEED AT THIS POINT

honestly when i first read the books i didn’t even consider them as a ship ((i was CONVINVED kevin would be a thing with either andrew or neil at first SHDKDHDJ)) but then i finished the series and i saw people mention kevaaron and i was just soooo moved ntm these parts from tfc

“aaron’s watching [kevin]” and them playing video games lives in my mind rent free fr like they’re just so normal (casual) together and if y’all couldn’t tell by my socmed au i loovveee when there’s a normal dynamic within all their messy lives to keep them grounded idk

This might be a dumb question but what’s brocedes. I know basically nothing about f1 but i’m intrigued.

AHHHHH IM SO GLAD SOMEONE ASKED ME ABOUT BROCEDES BECAUSE I LOVE TALKING ABOUT THEM

first of all have to say its not a dumb question at all bc it’s f1 lore and before i had gotten into f1 i also didn’t know about brocedes omg

but brocedes is my beloved lewis hamilton and nico rosberg

or like crofty (f1 commentator) likes to say: friend. teammate. childhood buddy. rival. everything, but a lover.

i can’t believe this has actually been said about them by a commentator LIKE

so lewis and nico used to be childhood best friends; they were karting together, sharing hotel rooms, eating pizza, wrestling etc etc just being silly lil kids together— this was before their f1 careers.

then both of them end up in formula 1— although they start out in different teams until 2013 when lewis signs for mercedes and they end up as teammates.

now the thing about being teammates in formula 1 is you’re not only teammates, but also rivals. f1 has a constructor’s championship (for the team with the most points at the end of the season) and the driver’s championship (for a single driver— the driver with most points by the end of the season obviously).

a lot of people focus specifically on the 2016 spanish grand prix— lewis and nico collide taking both of them out of the race and shit goes down. their whole relationship and friendship goes down the drain, but tbh a lot of shit had already been going down beforehand, lewis had already announced they weren’t friends in 2014 due to their rivalry within the team (a lot of shit has gone down between them— but i’m pretty sure him saying they’re not friends was because nico got accused of purposely sabotaging a qualifying session for lewis, i could have my timeline a bit messed up though so i’m not 100% sure at the moment)

but yeah what brocedes comes down to is that they used to be best friends became teammates in formula 1— but also rivals (because formula 1 is toxic like that LMAO) and then their friendship got TOTALLY ruined

they could barely look at each other, even though they worked together, AND THEN nico rosberg wins the world championship in 2016 (by this time lewis had already won the driver’s championship three times; once with his old team and twice with mercedes as nico’s teammate).

anyways nico wins the championship and IMMEDIATELY retires. he has spoken out about how much he had to sacrifice, in both the sport but also his personal life etc., for this win and he isn’t willing to sacrifice all that again for another championship.

their friendship has been stained by their rivalry and it’s never been the same as it used to be— now i know i’ve been talking about them a lot and i promise i’m rounding it up now BUT it’s so important to me that people know about how nico has said they live in the same building complex!!!!!

like after all this they end up living in the same building in monaco ((obviously lewis is still racing so it’s not like they run into each other daily but still a very important detail to me)) and it’s been said (pretty sure by nico himself) that lewis even bought a birthday present for nico’s daughter and honestly i think about it a lot— i think about them a lot.
