(NOTE: Friends, please listen! I was briefly involved in the occult before coming to Christ, and this "We battle not against flesh and blood" thing is REAL. If you 'celebrate' Halloween because you want kids to be happy think again. Do the research! Find out what ex-witches, warlocks and devil worshippers say about THIS DAY. It is no joke and it is dark, serious, and a a high holy EVIL day and NOT pleasing to God to participate in which opens a door to the demonic. Laugh if you must but this is serious and not something to be taken lightly.)
Why each year do people celebrate a curious holiday that features skeletons, snakes, spiders, witches, DARKNESS and anything spooky, sinister, and even SATANIC? What is so special about this day that all that normally is shunned instinctively by people is suddenly embraced as fun?
Well, the core word of 'Halloween' tells us exactly what you are really venerating and celebrating!
Just as Eve was tricked into partaking of the sweetness of the forbidden fruit, the trick in Halloween is not just sweet candy, but to trick you into honoring everything that is the opposite of God and Light.
The core word of HALLOWED means “Belonging to or derived from or associated with a divine power; something made HOLY.” So think about what this means — to celebrate Halloween is to make HOLY all things DARK and EVIL.
In the Lord’s prayer we say, “Our Father who art in heaven, HALLOWED be THY NAME” So which one should be revered? That which is DARK or that which is LIGHT?
We all can make choices of how to live our lives. Free candy and parties have their appeal, but making a distinction between that which is holy and profane might be a better choice.

Yeah, right. We’ve heard this 'Jesus is coming and he's coming soon' deal before, so where is he? What a joke. You people are so stupid.
Two thousand years ago this is exactly what the Bible said what people would say.
Today the signs are clearer than ever that these are indeed the End Times. One look at the news and observe the collapse of our cities, society falling into decay, increased lawlessness, plagues and severe earth changes and it is clear that we are living in a time where things are so turned around that almost three thousand years ago Isaiah 5:20 said
“Woe unto them that Call EVIL GOOD, and good evil; That put DARKNESS FOR LIGHT And light for darkness; That put bitter for sweet, And sweet for bitter”It follows that especially today in a world that is truly turned around sexually, morally and spiritually that making fun of the Bible – and especially of the return of Christ – makes perfect sense. And not only that, but as Romans 1:32 confirms that those that scoff not only enjoy poking fun out of Christ’s return, but gleefully celebrate with others that also do the same.
If you don’t think that Christ is coming back, you have 100% free will to not believe and make fun of it as much as you like. But when – not IF – He returns, please heed these words:
“For the invisible things of him (God) From the creation of the world are CLEARLY SEEN Being understood by the things that are made, Even his eternal power and Godhead; So that they are WITHOUT EXCUSE.“ Romans 1:20
Friend, please do not place yourself in a situation where you will stand before Christ WITHOUT EXCUSE and be SPEECHLESS. (Matthew 22:12) Recognize, believe and CONFESS Christ as LORD. Today it’s your time. Today is the Day of Salvation.

Mercy and Grace are two terms that are often used interchangeably, but are very different in declaration as opposed to decoration:
Mercy is NOT receiving PUNISHMENT that we DO deserve Grace is receiving BLESSINGS that we do NOT deserve
The Bible teaches that we are all guilty and none of us is righteous before God (Romans 3:10) and those in sin will die (Ezekiel 18:20), but because of God’s Mercy he has delivered us from sin and death. (2 Corinthians 1:10) So Mercy is God’s tender outstretched heart offered to all that “..none perish but all come to everlasting life.” (2 Peter 3:9)
Once becoming a child of God (John 1:12) and joint-heir with Christ (Romans 8:17) his love for us is showered upon us through his continued Grace and blessings to those who walk in His Grace. (Psalm 128:1) Even though we do not deserve that which we have not (nor cannot) earn or pay for, it is His nature to keep heaping goodness upon those that love Him.
Are you at the intersection of MERCY and GRACE? If not, there is a place at the cross(ing) for you. If you are not there, walk up to this signpost and receive the free gift of salvation of your soul. Oh! There is one more benefit thrown in when you do:
“Grace, Mercy and PEACE will be with you…in Truth and Love” 2 John 1:3

Are you walking in the dark wondering what is God’s will for you or feel that you’re all alone and do not see a solution? Well the LORD does, and if this is where you are, I want you to know that there is a special “Key” that will unlock the answer to the answers you seek, and that key is called Time.
Time alone with you and Jesus is more precious than any other time you can have, and a great way to do this is to make a place for God as “first priority” of your day. When you do your life will never be the same! Here are some steps to put this into practice:
Talk and Walk With God Talk with Him like He is right there with you by your side, because He is! Develop a close friendship with Him. Seek to KNOW Him, not just seek to KNOW ABOUT Him. Your relationship will grow by spending time in His Word.
Patiently Listen For God’s Holy Spirit Be still and quiet and hush and settle your mind after you have made your requests to the Lord. Often God takes a while before He speaks to your heart. When you are close to Him, he will show you His plan for your answer! (see Psalm 37:4-5) Daily Surrender Your Will To His Will It’s never effective to seek your own will, but it always is when we seek His! He wants you to be committed to whatever it is He desires for you to do, because that will always bear fruit. While he may be slow showing you the way, once he speaks be obedient to what he is saying when you get the answer. (see Romans 12:1-2 and 1 Thessalonians 4:3) Consider The Circumstances God both opens and closes doors. Look carefully where you are now. Are doors opening or closing? What do you hear God saying to you? Be sure you are listening to the Holy Spirit, especially if He is nudging you to go in a certain direction. Doors open and CLOSE for a good reason, so consider that when things don’t go as you thought or hoped, there is a reason behind it. (see Acts 16:6-10) Taking quality time each day with the LORD that will mold and shape the future He has planned for you. Use these principles to help you hone in on His will and His path for you. When you earnestly seek His will, you will find it!

To 'Pray For Our Enemies' is often taken as a call to extend the love of God and grace to our enemies, and while that is true there’s another application of this — but it all depends on how you interpret the word FOR.
'For' can be used several ways like 'the car is out for repair', 'she runs for her health' - and in today’s verse we commonly interpret it like 'we are praying FOR her healing.' But consider this example of: “I am going FOR broke!” as in, Seeking To OBTAIN Something That I Do Not Have DESPITE THE RISK.”
This last case can have a tremendous benefit because when we pray to 'obtain' an enemy, we are praying for God to actually bring that enemy CLOSER TO US! While that may sound crazy, here are two examples when drawing our enemies close can HELP us more than HARM us.
David would never have been King of Israel unless he chose to draw close to Goliath, but what if he never left his flock?! You see, when he prayed FOR his enemy (i.e. to DRAW HIM CLOSER) then and only then could he have had the victory! And in the classic movie 'Top Gun,' Maverick knew that if he could DRAW HIS ENEMY CLOSER, then and only then could he obtain the victory!
In both cases victory was only possible when drawing their enemy closer.
The German philosopher Friedrich Nietzche aptly summarized this saying “What does not kill me makes me stronger” but that requires being willing to “Fly Into The DANGER ZONE.”
Friend, when trials come, and your enemy comes closer, consider it a God-given opportunity to both test and strengthen you, because in order to be “More than a conqueror” (Romans 8:37) means being willing to boldly stepping into that place of opportunity.
What step do you need to take and pray FOR Your 'Enemy'?

In the Garden of Eden, a dramatic power transfer occurred. Initially, Adam & Eve were “given dominion over the entire world,” (Genesis 1:26) but in disobeying God they then became “slaves to sin” (John 8:34) and relinquished their dominion over the earth only to pass their authority to “the (evil) rulers of the darkness of this world.” (Ephesians 6:12) Though once free, they were now prisoners, and needed a way to be delivered from their imprisonment.
The Bible says this is why Christ came and was appointed and anointed “to preach the gospel to the poor; to heal the brokenhearted, to preach DELIVERANCE TO THE CAPTIVES, restore sight to the blind, and LIBERATE all that are bruised.” (Luke 4:18)
However, there’s one “catch“ …
While Jesus paid the penalty for our sins and ransomed us (Matthew 20:28), in order to walk out of that prison you need to Receive This Free Gift Of Salvation (1 Peter 3:10) by stepping out in faith and reaching out and taking the “Get-Out-Of-Jail FREE” Card of salvation and forgiveness of sin.
But here’s the problem…
There are many people (maybe you?) who DON’T Think They Are In Bondage, who DON’T Think They Are Blind, and DO NOT See A Need To Be Freed From Anything. If that’s you, you are not alone. Many feel that way — but here again is God’s loving offer and urgent plea to you.
Friend, there is COMMUTATION (i.e. cancellation of any crime) of the sentence of death that all will face for the final judgement of sin. There is no need to be cast for eternity into the place of outer darkness where Jesus himself said there would be “weeping and gnashing of teeth.” (Matthew 25:30) You cannot buy this card or earn it by good works. It is totally free, and the commutation of your sentence is as simple as reaching out and accepting it.
If you have not done so, will you do it today?

We have all been in a dark place when we wish we had light. In a dark room it is always easier to walk towards or with light than away from it. As it is in the physical world, so it is in the spiritual world, but sadly most people choose the latter. Why is that?
Jesus answers that very clearly in this passage:
“Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.” John 3:19-21 You see, our natural sinful human nature does not really want to do God’s Good but what WE think is good. Our inclination is to make or follow our own light like a sadly popular current phase, You have to speak your own truth. Hear again the Bible tells us that Jesus is “The Way, The Truth, and The LIGHT” (John 14:6) We are not the light or the source of it.
The popular singer James Taylor has a profound verse in one of his songs that says “You don’t get no light from a TV screen” Add tablet, computer or cellphone to that and that is exactly the darkness in which most people are walking.
Are you Walking in Darkness or in THE LIGHT?

It’s often been said that the Bible can be interpreted to mean anything you want, and That Is Totally True.
For example when Amos 4 says “Sin All You Want” or Luke 12:19, “Eat, Drink, and Be Merry!” it’s easy to interpret what you want to Read & Believe - but not what the Bible is actually saying or teaching.
You see, the biggest mistake when criticizing, mocking, or manipulating the Bible is not understanding the Context of a verse. For example, while glibly quoting “God is Love” (which is true!) but not also referencing that God is HOLY, JUST, and RIGHTEOUS does not imply and condone (therefore) that all 'love' is of God.
You see, unless you compare scripture with scripture it’s like trying to determine what a jig-saw puzzle picture is just by looking at a few carefully selected pieces. It’s not until you put all the pieces together as a whole that you can you see the true, complete picture.
God’s Word is like that puzzle. All the pieces are there, and to fully understand and appreciate it requires your attention! Proverbs 25:2 in essence says that God’s Glory (and the blessings His Glory promises) is concealed in this 'puzzle' and it is our honor to search for what is there and find it.
Friend, when you understand CONTEXT of His Word, and are not mislead by PRETEXT you’ll discover and have the reward of the blessings this book holds, both in this life and the next.
How are you reading and understanding the Bible? By PRETEXT or CONTEXT? Blessings To You Today

As today’s highly altered and alt-worded scripture verse states, everybody believes 'THIS' — that the universe, galaxies, stars, earth and life originated Somehow and are manifest to all. Even though nobody actually witnessed how this all came about, nor can it be proven by the standard scientific method of testing, observation and replication, THIS is something everyone takes on FAITH - and doing so leads to one of two possibilities.
Either: Out of nothing (or some unknown something) everything (somehow) Burst And Evolved Into Existence Or: There Was An Intelligent Designer and Creator. Genesis 1:1 encompasses all aspects of what makes up existence by defining:
In the Beginning: TIME The Heavens: SPACE The Earth: MATTER Be you a believer in God or not, these three elements define all that is, and again this circles back to the original question of HOW did this happen, WHERE did it come from, and WHO (or WHAT) was responsible for everything?
Friend, therefore there are only two possibilities to believe:
There Is NO GOD Or Creator:
'Then Eat, drink and be merry' for there are no consequences to how you live your life. There Is GOD Who Is Eternal And Almighty: Then as GOD He is worthy or praise and respect and -no one is without excuse to deny or ignore Him- Your choice to believe the THIS of where 'all' came from is a BELIEF.
Which belief is it? How will you live your life based on what you believe?

There are degrees of intention in what we say.
We can make a Pledge to donate to a cause - but not follow through, or make a Commitment to participate in an organization - but not act on that word. We may also make a Promise to someone to do something - but then break it, and even take an Oath in a court of law - but perhaps not tell the entire truth.
In all of these, there may be varying degrees of consequence, but when you make a VOW before God this is on a whole, Holy different level.
God’s Word Is Very Serious About Vows. They are not casual or haphazard but are a formal, solemn, binding declaration before God that are not to be taken lightly and thoroughly accomplished.
For example, a marriage vow is intended to be an unbreakable bond, and likewise when we make a vow to God it requires it to be done immediately, completely, and without delay. A vow is like glue that binds two things together that should never be unbroken. Just ask anyone that has been through a divorce who is sadly aware of this - because when we break a vow it is sin.
Broken vows ALWAYS have consequences.
Friend, be careful about what you say and what commitments you make! Thankfully, if we fail in our vows or in anything in this life remember that “…the LORD your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.“ (2 Chronicles 30:9)
Have you made a vow unto God that you have not kept? If so heed this Admonition AND Promise:
“Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.” Psalm 19:11
