It was Maid Day today yesterday a week ago so I got struck by inspiration to draw the worsties, and it ran away from me into a whole AU where they’re coworkers at a maid cafe.
She’s a med student & this is just a part time job, and this is his depression job while he gets his life back together. He needs something he can be workaholic about to forget what it’s like having a personal life and personal issues. He’s actually the accountant, but the new hire janitor (Izutsumi) doesn’t show up for half her shifts and is a sloppy worker, so he gets the extra work of doing her job on top of his because he’s undervalued and overworked. Of course, janitors also have an uniform to keep the aesthetic cohesion as they go about cleaning the place, of course.
Senshi’s the part time cook you only see slivers off, he’s kind and warm when you do see him and have a chat but most shifts he’s in and out the kitchen without a trace. Laios and Falin are regulars because Falin and Marcille are besties & in the same med school, Laios accompanies Falin as she visits her friend at work and gets hooked on the food. Chilchuck has to remind Marcille to work instead of chatting with Falin for an hour, and next thing he knows she’s distracting him from work too.
That’s it that’s the AU. Inspired by this idol AU fanart a bit <3
This was not meant to be birthday gift but well…… Happy bday Chil!!!

look at me getting shit done!!
okay so for the next tarot card, the High Priestess, i chose the figure of The Body - specifically Harrow's obsessive characterization and adoration of her. The High Priestess in the Arcana tarot "guards the threshold between the physical and spiritual planes," which in my interpretation can be seen in the way Harrow turns to The Body for guidance while she grapples with reality and the River in HTN. The High Priestess is the divine feminine, which I don't necessarily think is reflective of Alecto, but of Harrow's idealized version of The Body and her devout worship. pulling the High Priestess in a reading can signify the importance of prioritizing your intuition and subconscious mind, themes that are obviously very prominent in HTN. while drawing this card i also started to think about how in christianity, there is the holy trinity: God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. something about Alecto's series of personalities (The Body, Nona, Alecto) is reflective of this trichotomy and i just thought that was interesting. do i have any grand plot analysis about this thought? no. but that is okay
i have to apologize for how long it took me to crank this one out; i started to get frustrated with the rendering of all the background portions and i was also depressed because of my job (which I quit!) so it took me awhile to finish. i finally just forced myself to finish it though and i'm really happy with the result! that being said, for my next card i'm going to try a new lineart technique, and i'm excited to see how that goes, so stay tuned!
edit: i realized i left some lineart in my drawing over the hair that was meant to be erased...had to fix that and also i'm posting the print version rather than the card version :)

You know I'm still thinking about deviantART's infamous switch from its classic layout to the 'Eclipse' mode (aka their cheap attempt at becoming ArtStation 2) and how much it fucked up the website.
Literally the only reason I was still active there at the time was thanks to the website's very active ARPG scene, and with the switch all the systems that made them work smoothly got ruined - pushing some ARPG groups to move to wobbly websites trying to offer what was lost, some groups to try and do with the new dA layout with difficulty, and causing the demise of many more.
I don't know how the website is these days and if it managed to regain a little of its balance from ere but damn. They sure shot themselves in the foot back then. And shot their users also.
What's with websites trying to be other websites and losing themselves in the process over and over again
