#ghostbur typical angst

I think we should all be thankful Ghostbur was created through improv and not something Wilbur sat down and created outside of streaming… because could you imagine !!!!

Ghostbur wakes up, he has vague memories of fire and explosions and swords piercing through his chest. The memories of all the pain and agony he lived with — the pain and agony he subjected his friends and family to — slowly fading away as he climbs out of the wreckage of a place he does not recognise.

And when he reaches the surface he can see familiar faces. Quackity, a long time friend and rival, although ghostbur can’t remember why they ever fought. Fundy, his beloved son, he remembers how they used to sing lullabies together before he sent Fundy off to bed. And Tubbo, the president of L’manberg, the final decision Wilbur had ever made… at least as far as Ghostbur remembers.

With a smile on his face Ghostbur rushes over to greet his friends, tripping over his own feet as he stumbles over rumble and debris.

Tubbo is the first to see him, a million and one different emotions flashing across his face the moment he catches sight of the ghostly figure. Ghostbur only recognises one. He doesn’t understand the rest.

He doesn’t understand why Tubbo seems to cower away in fear. He doesn’t understand why Fundy’s ears are pinned back against his head. He doesn’t understand why Quackity’s grip grows tighter around the hilt of his axe as he threatens to lob Ghostbur’s head from his shoulders if he takes another step forward.

He tries to understand. He asks and begs for some kind of explanation, but apparently he was just meant to understand. “You know what you did” Quackity spits in his face as he waves his arms through the air, gesturing towards the ashen pit in the ground. “I’m not falling for your tricks again!”

There were no tricks. He tries so desperately to defend himself, but nobody will let him speak. Eventually he gives in. He’ll just find somebody else, somebody who’ll listen and understand.

A tear burns as it rolls down his cheek. He has barely left L’manberg’s borders and already he doesn’t remember why he is so sad.

Here, Ghosie doesn't remmeber his own alive name, he didnt remmeber anything from his alive years, at least not much, sometimes he dreamt about it or found old blue scars on his body and got a little flashback before remembering cuz ghost doesn't really remember sad moment.

How did Ghostie die?

Well, simply said, he took his own life.

Ghostie hadn't had a lucky life, his parents being out of the picture and that caused him to hang around the wrong people till he got older and realised how meaningless everything was..

He sunk deeper and deeper into the hole of depression until he coudltn even find reasons to leave his bed anymore, nor reasons to not cutting and no reason to live.

He used multiple diffrent ways to try and kill himself but nothing worked smoothly enough until hw found the rope, hung it to the roof and then hung himself, his body wasn't found in weeks until a person had reported a foul smell from Ghosties apparyment.

He didnt immidetly become a ghost though anf it took a week or two, he was then just... a ghost, waking up on the floor right under where he had died, no explanation why and no reason to leave the appartment, he always could leave the appartment but it was like a mental block in his mind.

He used to always have a clean-shaven face, insane twinkle in his eyes, depressingly empty expressions and that sad.. sad feeling emanating from him, he always wore coats or just a "white" dirty t-shirt 😔

He both smoked and drunk alcohol, it soothed him for a while

As I said, hw doesn't remmebrr much, not even his own name so how did he get it? Well, one thing he did remmeber was a childhood memory about reading a book called "Ghosties fun~" and there he claimed the name as his own.

He has scars on his body, some more vissible than others, mostly on his arms, chest, big ones on his chest from cutting too deep a couple of times and some on his legs but they looked more like small blue sharpie on his arms

My day has been pretty good so far! I stayed in bed a bit late because I was thinking about ideas for fics alshaksgajg

I had someeeee pizza bites for lunch!! Very tasty! I also did some schoolwork and wrote a Ghostbur-inspired poem for that (my teacher said the poem could be about fictional characters so I mean 👀 I also started a poem about peanut butter and jelly lol). I also researched some disturbing history! So! That was interesting XD

Tommy’s stream was definitely an. eventful. part of the day. Yeah.

Overall, today has been chill, which I’ve enjoyed :D

OOOOOH WRITING OOOOOOOOOH

I’ve actually been writing a whole bunch these past two-ish weeks!! It’s been so much fun!!! I’m working on a modern AU, a one-shot about Niki and Ghostbur, and a handful of other projects (including another… one-shot about Ghostbur aksgajsgajw that I came up with in the shower heck yeahhhhh)

In addition, when I woke up today my mind become captivated on a little scene inspired by Spider-Man No Way Home, but with Tommy and Ghostbur as the characters, and oh my gosh. It’s so angsty. I don’t typically like Ghostbur angst but. I might just write it. Augh.

I’ve been wanting to share little snippets of my writing for a while now, so I think I’ll do that ask game where people send in a word, and if a WIP contains that word then I post the line it appears in :) Or maybe the rose game, where people send in the emoji and I pick a snippet to share… one of those!

merry christmas /dsmp angst

the snow flourished through the air as tommy treaded through the plains. christmas had dawned across the dream smp. holiday events and activities approaching with each waking day. excitement spread across the server, filling each member with holiday cheer. but not tommy.

for tommy was alone as he had been for the past few months, ever since the exile. with harsh enforcements from dream and a new home that’s eternities away from his previous, life had been pretty depressing for tommy. but today was different. tommy refused to be excluded on such a special occasion. so there he was, trudging through the blizzard that filled the space around him.

tommy looked at the compass ghostbur gifted him, assuring he was traveling the right way. finally, after countless hours of faceplanting in the snow, tommy caught a glimpse of lmanberg up ahead. he headed towards the haunted mansion where christmas dinner was being held, as ghostbur accidentally revealed to him the night before. tommy peaked through the windows, catching a glimpse of each person as they conversed over dinner. tommy stood up quickly, beginning to formulate his plan.

after a few moments tommy whispered a string of curses, as he realized he didn’t have a plan. tommy understood how dangerous this situation was for him, especially since he was residing on his final life. after some contenplation, tommy decided it would best to be civil and natural when he walked in.

tommy took a deep breath and walked to the entrance, walking through the front door. he walked towards the laughter emitting from the dining room, stopping at the doorway and leaning on the frame. tommy scanned the room, taking note of who was here. eventually his gaze met a very familiar figure at the end of the table.

dream.

despite all tommy acquaintances and himself being under the impression dream would not be attending, they appeared to be extremly wrong. tommy looked away, ghostbur being the next to meet his gaze. ghostbur looked at tommy, then at dream, then back to tommy. ghostbur sighed and gave tommy a weak smile, hoping to ease his nervousness. for a second tommy felt relieved, but then:

“tommy. what are you doing here.” dreams voice casted silence across the room. one by one each pair of eyes at the table were locked on tommy. tubbo being the last to turn around, but not before taking a moment of preparation. “its christmas dream. can i not celebrate the holidays with my friends?” tommy pleaded.

tommy looked at the familiar faces in the room. some expressing looks of anger, others pity. tommy frowned, disapproving of how the community had been treating him since the exile. “you know you can’t be here tommy. i understand it must be difficult, but you need to go. now.” tubbo said sternly.

the room remained silent as tommy stepped closer.

“you understand?” tommy snorted. “you understand how it feels to be excluded from everything? for everyone to shut you out one by one? to be alone in the depths of the wilderness living in fear? how it feels for your bestfriend to betray you?” tommy retorted, adding extra venom in his voice to the last line. tears stung his eyes as he gazed at tubbo, who was now seemingly unresponsive.

“typically, by now i would have already killed you with no question for breaking the terms we agreed upon. however, it’s christmas and i would feel awful horrible stabbing you infront of everyone, so you have a five minute grace period to leave the premises.” dream spoke up. tommy turned to him, the nerves in his body being replaced with anger after seeing the smirk on dreams face.

“i don’t want to LEAVE dream. i want to spend christmas with my friends. my FAMILY. you don’t have the right to decide what i do. i’m not your puppet. i know how you work unlike most others here and i will NOT submit to your endless tyranny!” tommy declared.

people at the table shifted in their chairs as they watched the heated argument. some of them grasping the weapons they owned incase things go south. others resisting the urge to stand up and protect the poor child.

“perhaps i was too caring to give you five minutes. please leave now unless you want to face the consequences.” dream spat. he began to take a stand, hand on his sword. tension rose in everybody’s throats as they felt the situation rising, and not in a good way.

“maybe we should all take a moment to relax. ya know, calm downa little bit.” quackity added, trying to disperse the situation. the anger inside tommy continued growing, filling him to the brim with rage.

“no. no, i am NOT going ANYWHERE. i deserve the right to be here with MY friends and celebrate with them just as any other person. i will NOT stand to be excluded any longer.” tommy retaliated. dream exhaled sharply, glaring at tommy. tommy gulped as he stared back at dream, refusing to break eye contact.

“tommy i am ordering you to return home. please leave lmanberg. and dream, please calm down. i don’t understand why it’s so difficult for us to gather together without any conflict. it’s really not-” tubbo began saying, until he was cut off by a loud thud.

that thud being tommy.

no one moved an inch. some staring in horror, others unable to move out of shock. tubbo opened his eyes, not remembering himself closing them in the first place. what tubbo saw would be etched in his brain forever. tommy was doubled over on the ground. a sword pierced in the center of his chest. that sword being held by none other than dream.

tommy let out an unnerving noise and slouched further into the ground. crying and shouting echoed throughout the room as people panicked. although tommy could barely hear them with the ringing in his ears. everything was beginning to get quieter and his vision was getting brighter.

ghostbur quickly appeared at tommys side. followed by philza, techno, and lastly tubbo. ghostbur embraced tommy in a hug, hoping to provide a little comfort to him in his last moments. each person was saying sweet nothings to tommy, though he could only hear a few things. tommy looked up at the men. he saw techno sobbing into phils shoulder, and ranboo placing a hand on tubbos shoulder as he appeared behind him.

tommy was proud of the friends he had around him, and he was grateful for all the memories he had with them. a smile formed on his face as he accepted his fate. as tommy neared the light, he heard a few final words:

“it’s okay, you’ll be like me now, don’t be scared.”

and

“tommy, please don’t leave. i’m so sorry.”

Wilbur looked different. Tommy noted that his eyes were younger, they held a glint of something still innocent in them. Something yet to be fully corrupted.

The world felt like it was passing him in a kind of daze, almost as if he were watching it happen to someone else. His half absence was noted, Wilbur asking him what was up. He brushed him off, claiming a headache.

Not the most creative lie but it seemed to work well enough.

How did this even happen ? People don't exactly just time travel, that's not something that happens.

Tommy stood on the stage looking out at the small crowd of his friends, people whom he barely recognised. Wilbur was giving a speech he'd heard before.

What is your most popular fic?

Promise Me You Won’t Leave (This Time) which actually just recently got 1,000 hits :D I’m not entirely sure… why people like it so much aksgaksgakg but I got some really sweet comments and a very excited bookmark and it’s made me feel blessed :)

How long does it take you to write one of your fics or a chapter/part?

Typically, at least a few months. It’s very slow progress (unfortunately).

If I’m able to start and finish a fic within a month, I consider that a Great Accomplishment and feel very happy indeed!

What's your favorite fic you've written?

Bloody Miracles :) Which actually inspired Promise Me You Won’t Leave (This Time) and I kinda wish it’d gotten the same level of attention 😅

Is there a fic you wish had gotten more attention?

Most definitely Endless Field, Singing Tree, Blue Sweater (Dandelion). My Ghostbur fics always get low views compared to my other fics 😅 but I worked really hard on this one and I’m quite happy with it!!

What genre do you have the toughest time writing?

Oooh… hm.

I really only write three genres: fluff, hurt/comfort, and angst (with a bit of humor tossed in). I find it fairly easy to write all those things, and I don’t really… branch out and write about other genres? So I don’t know if I can think of anything 😅

“Wh-” Phil didn’t have time to say anything as Techno took two strides to reach him, grabbing his wrist and pulling.

“Fucking run!” The pink haired man said louder now as they came into sight. There were easily fifteen, maybe twenty. Too many to deal with, as they would attract more. Phil and Techno ran, the shorter man surprisingly keeping pace with Techno.

The thing about these creatures- the undead, infected, zombies, whatever you wanted to call them- they were easy to underestimate. While they shuffled around slowly at first, that was only when they hadn’t spotted their food. The shuffling footsteps and groaning turned quickly into rampant steps and screaming.

Tommy was not going here. There was no way. He would starve himself before he spent a day there. It was vile, designed to make sure you stay alive while crushing your hope of escaping, through either the literal sense of freedom, or death.

He had— he had done so much. Tommy was exhausted. Exhausted from the fighting, from the mourning, from the separation. He might never see Tubbo again, so what was the harm in just… leaving? He had no one else to live for.

Tommy’s breath started to quicken, and it didn’t help that the arm around him tightened. He could start to see spots in his vision—hold it in for eight—he was going to suffocate.

Tommy passed out.

“Who will come back?” Dream asked behind him.

Tommy screamed and scrambled back, pressing his back to the wall. He’d broken out into a cold sweat, his heart pounding in his chest. “N-N-nothing,” he croaked.

Dream tilted his head. “Nothing? Are you lying to me, Tommy?”

“No-never! I’d never do that big D!” Tommy tried laughing, but he broke out into sobs instead. Dream stood over him without saying a word.

“Well, I was going to let you keep your stuff today, since I thought I could trust you.” He gestured to the soft dirt ground. “But apparently not.”

“Hold on- of course you can trust me- I’m-”

“Put your stuff in the hole, Tommy.”
