Evading A Giant Python
Kicking off this new year with a strange dream of sorts, some of the setting had a dose of reality while other settings were manufactured by the subconscious.
It started off seeing remnants of my living room, and the cat tree where my cat often sleeps. I naturally saw an image of a cat, not necessarily my cat.
I had the perception that the cat was a male cat. However, the cat started to leak…

Had to chuck this one on imgur cuz it was posted as a gif in a discord server. I can’t identify the noodle, though I think he’s too big to be turning your back on like that. My first thought was anaconda based on the head but I’ve never seen one with that pattern. Can you ID him?

Link for everyone - that is an absolutely gorgeous granite morph Burmese python.
Burms are awesome, usually have amazing temperaments, and this one looks to be an absolute sweetheart, but you're right they should always be treated with a lot of care simply because of their size. They're awesome to hang out with but I'd always recommend having another person in the room so you've got two sets of eyes keeping watch on everything and making sure everyone stays safe.
The Burm in this video is being a precious little sweetheart hanging out while their keeper is cooking, but I always advise keeping snakes out of the room while cooking! Snakes have very delicate lungs and anything that produces steam or smoke is a big no-no to have near them.

Anyone else believe that Spiny Norman from that one Monty Python sketch is actually the perfect metaphor for anxiety?

Is there any possibility that Pinks - in one story - manages to get help and escape the lake?
Say, his s/o wants to let him be more free so they build something that can transport him the short distance to the ocean.
How would Pinks react to it?
So sorry for the wait of this! I wanted to write a whole little fic about it, but I've been thinking too much about it haha.
So a long story short, I don't think he would like it too much. Yes, the lake isn't his home, but it also is? It's where he had been staying and living for so long.
Plus, honestly, he's too used to living in a place where he could find whatever he wanted to eat and not have to run away from anything that wanted to eat him. I don't think he would be able to survive in the ocean for too long.
He wouldn't know what places were safe, what was safe to eat or not to eat, and honestly, he might not be able to handle the salt levels. He's too used to the high salt of his lake.

@ Man forcing Xi Jinping to eat fish and chips (sketch) Monty Python style
For Xi Jinping, who dislikes eating food because it tastes bad, a giant pirate-like man with a height of over 2 meters was sent. After chewing up the fish and chips, the giant kisses Xi Jinping while flickering his long sword and hands him the mushy fish and chips. Xi Jinping "Delicious!"
A sketch inspired by the British BBC's "Flying Monty Python". It is true that the British "hospitified" Xi Jinping with fish and chips. I tried to imagine what the scene would be like. The power-deprived are weak against power.

I got to hold a bunch of snakes today and reticulated pythons have the sweetest faces??? Why did nobody tell me this
Aren't they just so sweet? Retics are just precious. It's a shame they're so big they automatically make bad pets for like 99% of people.

Clochán an Aifir (Giant's Causeway,) County Antrim, Northern Ireland, 2005
This outcropping of basalt columns is a result of an underwater eruption. The hot, liquid basalt crystalized when it hit the water, resulting in the hexagonal columns.
Legend has it that it was built by the giant Fionn mac Cumhaill (Finn MacCool) so that he and the Scottish giant Benandonner might meet in the middle of the sea to fight. There's a matching set of basalt columns on the Scottish shore opposite it, which lent some credibility to the legends. [They're really there because they're part of the same eruption.]
I mostly think it's there because Mother Nature likes to throw in little flourishes every now and then. (All you need to do is just look around you for further examples.)
