Trip to Bangkok, September 2024 - Day 2: Hair of the dog, Craft beer and Gin bar

I like gin, but I also like beer. After visiting two bars in Iron Balls, I went to Hair of the dog, a craft beer bar that I stop by every time I visit Bangkok.

ジンも好きだけど、やっぱりビールも好き。 Iron Ballsの2つのバーをハシゴした次は、バンコクに行くたびに寄っているクラフトビールバー「Hair of the dog」へ。

こちら、毎回バンコクに行くたびに行っている最高のビアバー、「Hair of the dog」！

1Fはビアバー、2Fには隠れ家的な小さなジンバーがあります。

まずは1Fのビアバーでビールを。20本くらい並んでいるタップのうち、タイのブルワリーのものは3本くらいだったかな。「比較的軽めのがいいなあ」とリクエストしてこちらをいただきます。

🍺 THAI STICK: New England IPA, 6.8% ABV / Baan Bangkok

ダンクでトロピカルな、良いHazy IPAでした。

缶・ボトル販売の冷蔵庫も。比較的地元の人が来るビアバーなので、ラインナップのほとんどは海外系。Mikkellerとか、BEHEMOSとかが多かったかな。

1杯ビールいただいてから、2Fのジンバーに移動。

2Fというより中2階かな、可愛いスペース♡ 写真で見るより暗めだし、ほとんど店員さんはいないので、カップルできたらムード満点でしょう。

こちらでも、せっかくなのでタイのものをいただきます。

スーパーで見かけて気になっていた「SANEHA GIN」！

少しスパイスっぽさがあるけど比較的クセはないジン。トロピカルなニュアンスがあるのは、使っているボタニカルのパイナップル由来のものなのかな？バニラとかクローブは強くなくて飲みやすい！

ソファ席に移動してまったり。まったり...これは溶けて沈んでいくわ...

変わらずカジュアルでいいバーでした。

本当はこの後にジンのラインナップが豊富なルーフトップバー「ABar Rooftop」にもいきたかったけど、流石に3軒行くと気持ちよく酔っ払いだったので、本日はこれ��終了。よく飲みました。

Hi guys. How’s it going? I’ve got something different this Friday. As you know, I enjoy some gin every know and then. And since the nice folks at @chelsearoyalginofficial were kind enough to send me a bottle of their new gin, I couldn’t say no 🙂 Chelsea Royal is made in the heart of London by “batch distillation” in a traditional John Dore still using 100% grain spirit to produce the highest quality pure gin. It is crafted from the finest grain spirit distilled with a secret blend of the highest quality botanicals drawn from all over the world. The essential botanicals are: Juniper; Coriander; Angelica and Liquorice root. This makes a very interesting end product, very aromatic and spicy. . Here is my review:. Nose: Fresh and fragrant with clean strong notes of juniper and citrus aromas, ripe oranges and oriental spices. . Palate: Intense and fresh with prominent orange zest mixed with juniper and a hint of coriander and cinnamon spice. . Finish: Complex, dry, long, with notes of Angelica, fresh cut grass and Liquorice. . It’s a very good gin and works very well with tonic of course and a bit of citrus fruit. I will be doing some G&T this weekend using the Chelsea Royal Dry gin, so stay tuned guys! 😉. One of the pleasures of Bangkok is visiting quality bars. This time, I decided to visit two bars in the Iron Balls Distillery. I decided to visit two bars at Iron Balls Distillery.

バンコクの楽しみ、それはクオリティの高いバーの訪問。「今回こそはハシゴするぞ！」と決めていた、「Iron Balls Distillery」の2つのバーを回ります。

2019年に訪問してから、バンコクで一番好きなバーと言っても過言ではないのがこちら。めちゃくちゃおしゃれ＆美味しいものがいただける、蒸溜所オフィシャルバーです。

入口、相変わらずおしゃれすぎる。ちょっと早めの時間だったので、全くお客さんがおらず、バー独り占め。

以前はこの表側に蒸留器が設置されていて、サイドから入店する仕組みだったのですが、蒸留器は外されてガッツリバーになっていました。

カウンターに陣取って、早速注文。

以前は「GIN&TONIC Flight THB580」という、Fever Treeのメニューから3種選んで飲み比べができるメニューがあったのですが、いろんな値上げもあって、ジントニックが1杯THB450になっていました。しかも、円安の影響もあるので1杯約¥2,000超え。悲しい...

今回はGin＋FEVER-TREE Indian Lightを注文。

爆イケ！！！！！

こちらのバーは、ポップコーンが食べ放題なのです。 カップぱんぱんに入れてくれたポップコーンをつまみにジントニックをいただきます。

ここのポップコーンもスパイスパウダーかかっててめっちゃおいしい。ジントニックおかわりしたくなる...

インテリア、どの角度から見ても爆イケ。テンション上がる...

どこを写真撮ってもおしゃれ。

カウンターの奥側もめちゃくちゃおしゃれ。 結構広いので、人数たくさん入りますね。

天井には大量のIron Ballsのボトル。 このバーは、有名なインテリアデザイナー Ashrey Suttonがデザインしていることもあり、全てのインテリアがおしゃれ。ムードあります。

もっとゆっくり過ごしたかったのですが、今夜はバーのハシゴをする予定なので、ここいらで次のお店へ。お店を出るときもまだまだ早い時間だったので、結局お客さんはほぼいませんでした。贅沢貸切気分w

こちらは初めて訪問する「Iron Balls」のバー。

こちらも内装爆イケ！天井のIron Ballsのボトルと、赤の照明がおしゃれです。

こちらも早い時間だったこともあり、完全ノーゲス。カウンターのほぼ真ん中を陣取りました。

メニューはこちら。

メニューボー��もおしゃれ。

こちらのお店でもGIN&TONICいただきます。40mlはClassicがTHB350、PremiumがTHB420、60mlはClassicがTHB420、PremiumがTHB550。

もちろん私はIron Ballsを飲むんだけど、他にもROKUやNIKKA COFFEYの日本のもの、HENDRICK’SやTHE BOTANIST、中国のPEDDLERSなんかも置いてありました。（PEDDLERSは台湾のジンフェスで初めて飲んだけど、ここにあるっていうことは有名ブランドなのね。）

こちらではIron Balls GIN＋FEVER-TREE Mediterraneanをチョイス。

おしゃれ！

全然お客さんが居なかったこともあり、店員のお姉さんとバー談義。前日こちらのバーでは、日本のバーテンダーさんのゲストシフトがあって、かなりの深夜まで大盛り上がりだったそうで、店員さんもかなりお疲れの様子でしたw

基本的に、Iron Ballsの2つのバーは22:00くらいからが客入りのピークみたい。一人でゆっくり楽しみたい人は、早めの時間に行くのがベストです。

MuvMiで次のバーに移動だぜ！

▲途中で通ったEMSPHERE。20時すぎでもキラッキラ。翌日に行くことにしました。

Conheci o novo endereço do @zimbrobar , e a experiência, que no antigo endereço era muito boa , se repete com maestria. Lindamente decorado com várias pegadas modernas .
