I loved that Ellie was wearing brown-ish cargo pants back in Salt Lake City when everything went down, and then 3 years later when she decided to go back to the hospital to find the truth about the Fireflies, she wore brown-ish cargo pants again.

The dreadful fact about these two moments, though, is that Ellie was downhearted and miserable in both.

The first time in the spring chapter; she was reminded of the time with David and was sad and quiet throughout the whole chapter.

The second time; she decided to go back to Salt Lake City to investigate the hospital on her own and found out about Joel lying to her, which broke her heart.

I think she'd be staring at them trying to figure out why they look so similar to those who fought for her - fought with her. Not the little occasional glances, FULL ON STARING. She hasn't blinked in a while, her brain is trying to come up with a coherent answer.

She does, eventually, ask Vertin or someone she knows about it, no one gives her a clear answer.

The worst part? She probably hasn't interacted with any of these people so she doesn't know if it's them or wishful thinking.
