The sole reason for making this post is because I. AM. OBSESSED. Also, I am not a music expert, so this is just about how the songs sounded to me.

I...I don't have anything to say. It's an okay song for me, I just don't like it as much as the other tracks, simple.

13. Devaralan Aattam

Again, same thing. It is a nice piece of music...I am not that fond of it. This album is soooo good, and this song is a nice song. Except I kind of get scared when I listen to it T-T.

12. Aazhi Mazhai Kanna

It is soooo pretty! My only complaint is that it is...what? A minute long?! I wish it were a full fledged, 2-3 minute long song...It has a such a lovely vibe, and I am in love with the music video.

11. Ilaiyor Soodar

It has a kind of nostalgic, old-ish vibe? IDK how to describe it, but it feels kind of melancholic, which I think it is meant to be? This is very small as well, no?

10. Chinnanjiru (Marumurai)

This is one of my fav songs on this album actually, but I don't listen to it that much, because it makes me cry. I think this song might actually make me depressed, it's so beautifully made and sung.

9. Chola Chola

It has a very energetic vibe, over all. Why do I feel that this would be a good gym song tho? It also seems like a strong dance song, and I love it for that. Also, I listened to the Hindi version first, and I highly recommend it.

8. Chinnanjiru Nilave

It is a very beautiful piece of music. My favorite part is how the music starts off with a very cheerful tune, and keeps it throughout the song, while slowly adding a tragic/painful tone as the song progresses. It really fits the couple it is picturized on. Who is the singer, guys? Another song whose Hindi version I loved.

7. Shivoham

I really love the fact that this song's lyrics are taken directly from Nirvana Shatakam. I am a sucker for well made religious music, especially with Sanskrit lyrics, and this is one of those songs. Someone make a 1 hour loop of this, it is toooooo short.

6. Ponni Nadhi

This was the first PS song I listened to, and it is so, so, so good!!!! Such an energetic and simultaneously peaceful song. The music video is so precious as well, and the fact that it is picturized on Vanthiyathevan is just another plus for me. Makes me want to sing along whenever I listen to it.

5. Ratchasa Maamaney

Sweetie, I am so sorry. I feel so guilty for ranking this so low. This is an awesome song. Shreya Ghoshal is a pleasure as always, and the music + music video are just precious. This song has such festive vibes, and Vanthiyathevan's parts are so hilarious. The flute in the beginning has fulfilled all my dreams.

4. Sol

Now, NGL, but I was not that big of a fan of this song initially, when I first heard it, but it grew on me. The whistling, the sound of water, everything is so cute. This is the most adorable song I have ever heard. The Tamil version was my fav.

It is so dreamy and breath-taking for me. I am in love with this song. The instruments, and the singing, everything is top notch. IDK how people can dislike this song. It has a slow touch to it, and it is very romantic, but has subtle vibes? Like this song gives me the vibe of loving someone, but from afar?

So dreamy and peaceful. I listened to all of it's versions, and it has a mysterious + chill vibe. Antara Nandy is such a good singer. This song just transports you to a different world.

it's a fun uncomplicated banger of a program and I like it a lot xD I'm a big fan of fast-paced music with heavy beats in skating because it's so rarely used even in gala programs, and I'm even more of a fan of it when done by skaters who have the physicality and ability to actually keep up with and match the intensity and energy of the music (and shoma is one of the few people who do it well). I adore both grespi and come together and this goes in the same direction (although understandably rougher choreo-wise), while giving off a big vibe of 'now I'm retired and i get to skate exactly to the kind of stuff I like and to do things that make me feel cool and powerful' (he himself has said that he prefers to skate to fast-paced music recently, too). tbh I can't blame him for wanting to have fun with his first program as a pro without feeling like he has to do things according to someone else's vision (I know that this is Marin's choreo and that she said she also wanted to give him a challenge, but the challenge here is more about him keeping up with the choreo rather than fundamentially challenging his preferred ways of moving to the music).

I also quite like the structure of the song with alternating slower and faster parts, especially in how the slower parts have long sweeping choreo movements that match the dreamy, echoing, nostalgic vocals and sound, plus the bits of dancing in place where shoma has to use his body and arms in ways he's not used to (maybe that's the real challenge for him, actually xD I kind of want dai to give him some pointers there and also point him towards a dance class jdsfhgsdh). I do like how the choreo emphasizes the structure also in how it matches the real climax of the song; basically the first two instances of the rhythm/beat picking up are not super choreo-heavy (mostly jumps and spins), but then you have the cantilever placed exactly through the build-up point of the track, which is followed by that glorious drop that in the choreo marks the start of the step sequence, and that step sequence is pure fire. I was howling every time that part started sdjfgsd and I mean, that's exactly what a build-up -> drop sequence in edm is meant for (to make you scream and dance harder xD) but boy, did he take us all to the club right then (or me, at least... idk what the aunties i'm not counting myself among them were feeling but i did scream. a lot. i would have jumped in place if i could have). Honestly, although it comes across reasonably well in the video, the energy of the last part of the program seen live just doesn't compare).

I also like the futuristic/cyberpunk look of the costume and the use of the jacket as a prop to enhance the 'cool' effect (especially that one time when we were sitting in the right spot to get his devilish come-hither look when he takes the jacket off lol)

(this is a ranking based on my first listen of the new svt album; ive only heard each song once, but its always fun to post so in a week i can go back and see how my opinions drastically change!!)

1 - april showers: oooooo groovy, this song would totally eat on a hot day at the river with my best friends AND THE BREAKDOWN??? i was skeptical this morning when i saw everyone eating this up but it really did just play and knock i dont understand to spot number 2. i hope they do this live at some point because it would bring me JOY. category of songs that make my heart soar

2 - idubilu - my style fr this is a song that makes u want to MOVE. this song needs a dance like yesterday and i want to project it right into my brain put it in my brain. this is quite possibly one of the best songs. its got the vocals, the drama, the emotion. its everything.

3 - dust: this is so cute omg; like the opening of a shoujo anime that i would be obsessed with. eating up that falsetto for breakfast 🥣; i love a song that i can close my eyes and teleport!!

4 - super: a banger but like every svt song is but this one is like SERVE. GIRLBOSS. they said we need a motivating power anthem and this is it fr. also this shows off a lot of the members vocally in new ways (lookin at u mingyu omg) (AND THE MV I DONT INCLUDE IN THESE RANKINGS BUT THEY ALL HAVE SUCH GOOD LOOKS IM MELTING LONG HAIR MINGHAO AND JEONGHAN WITH HIS HAIR UP!! (except the jorts pants)) anyways can we bottle up the outro and inject it into my veins

5 - fml: ok this is so good its so dreamy and the SPOKEN PARTS?? also rlly connecting bcuz im at a very nostalgic time rn and the song just gives me like REMEMBER vibes

MIXED EMOTIONS [Part 1]

Hyesoo begins a special friendship with a certain someone and begins to question things about her true self.

Hyesoo had been growing restless and bored these days, which was odd considering the girls of ELEKTRA had been preparing for their comeback and the festival.

She had reasoned with herself that it was mostly due to loneliness - most of her members had significant others who they spent a great deal of time with, when they had free time. Aries had been out and about most days with her friends, and Lilah had taken to sleeping any chance she got because she was permanently tired, not used to such hectic schedules just yet.

So when her boredom became so overwhelming, she decided to pay Danbi a visit at elevate entertainment, eager to get a glimpse of LEV8s comeback song. She adored her hoobae group and found their members adorable and music uplifting.

As she checks in and heads for the girls practice room, she hears a beautiful and slightly nostalgic melody drifting out from a practice room when a figure exited. There were no lyrics, but it still pulled her towards the room. She was fascinated by the sound of a band practicing. Or was it really practice? They sounded absolutely perfect. She knew Jieun had signed a band that had yet to debut and now her interest was piqued.

She crept forward like an weary cat around a corner, peeking through the window into the room. There were five members total, one immediately catching her eye. Her hair was jet black, ending just at her chest, bangs long and perfect. Her skin was milky white. She almost had an intimidating look to her as she vibes along, fingers moving swiftly over the silver strings of her guitar.

"She's so cool and pretty..." Hyesoo murmurs with a smile.

"I know, right?" A voice beside Hyesoo speaks up, startling her. She turns, laughing as Danbi grins, murmuring an apology. "Unnie, are you playung recon? Steal a concept, perhaps?" She teased playfully before leaning in for a hug before pulling away, peering in as well and swooning. "You like Jozie? I like Fabian! He's so dreamy! Huifang likes him, too. And he's so nice! And Lee is really cute as well." Danbis face lights up as she speaks, like a school girl talking about her first crush.

"What about Jozie?" Hyesoo inquires with a loft of her brow.

"Jozie-Unnie is...Mysterious. She works a lot. Maybe even too much." Danbi shook her head, adding, "I've never seen her leave the building. She's always here. I've even spotted her sleeping in the tutor rooms late at night. Sometimes her and Lee-Oppa argue because she never stops working."

"We have creepers!" Someone in the room speaks up. Both girls stare wide eyed at the door as it opens and a tall, almost menacing looking man steps out. "Lee-Oppa!" Danbi spits out, bowing instinctively.

"Don't do that." He says, chuckling as Danbi stops and stands perfectly straight. "You're my sunbae, after all. And I don't need you to call me Oppa." Hebsays nonchalantly.

"Sorry Oppa." Danbi says softly before turning red.

Lee rolls his eyes, smiling at them both. "Why don't you two come in instead of being peeping toms?" He suggests, stepping back and opening the door for them.

The girls exchanged a look before tentatively stepping in. The other band members looked at them curiously as they fiddled with their equipment. "Is this our first official audience?" A boy spoke up with a bright smile. His eyes locked on Hyesoos and he jumps, almost knocking over his microphone stand with his bass guitar. "Hyesoo-Sunbaenim!" He gasps, quickly removing the strap and running over to her to give her a hug. "You are my favorite idol! Is this real? Am I meeting my favorite idol?"

Hyesoo couldn't help but laugh.

Jozie rolls her eyes but there was a hint of a smile on her face. "Dash, give the poor girl some space." She mutters, working on tuning her guitar.

Lee steps forward, prying the affectionate boy off of her and murmuring an apology, "he has some issues with personal space." He says with a straight face.

"It's alright. I like hugs!" Hyesoo reassures, giving Dash two thumbs up.

"Good because I like to give them. And cuddles, too." Dash chirps. He had a special energy about him - cheerful and welcoming, much like ELEKTRAS maknae, Kay.

Lee sighs, running a hand through his hair as he turns to face the other members. "Jozie, have you figured out the lyrics yet? We have a full debut track with only the intro lines finished. We're close to the deadline." There was a hint of exasperation in his voice.

Jozie looked a bit embarrassed then, glancing at Danbi and Hyesoo almost shamefully before she sighed. "No...I'm having some issues. It's more pressure now that we're signed and it's killing the inspiration, ya know?" She says in perfect english.

Lee narrows his eyes at her, looking annoyed then. "You've never had this trouble before. Hyunwoo is getting impatient and I can't keep capping for us. I gave up a lot for us to come here." He responds back, also in perfect english. A look of sadness came onto his face.

Hyesoo was fascinated by them. Danbi looked thrilled at hearing them speak english so well, looking wide eyed at Hyesoo as she grins. "See! They are so awesome! Cool americans!" She mouths.

The air in the room changed then, the drummer running his hand through his long, wavy brunette hair before standing up. "You two need to figure this out soon. I can't keep playing these back and forth games." He shocked Hyesoo when he spoke fluent Korean, even a hint of a korean accent. He was handsome and though didn't look Korean, they were some hints to his features that suggested he was mixed.

Jozie shook her head, grabbing her bag and heading for the door. "Yeah, I know our fate lies all in my hands. I'll get my shit together. Just stop hounding me so much, okay?" She looked flustered - all the air of coolness had melted away into vulnerability - and she yanked the door open and walked out.

There was one mysterious member who was sat on a couch, looking off at a wall, clearly lost in thought and not speaking much. Hyesoo looked around, sensing the groups frustrations and stood abruptly, apologizing for disturbing them before quickly leaving. Danbi had stuck around to talk to Lee and the mysterious quiet member.

Hyesoo tentatively walked the hallway, jumping when a voice startles her yet again and she mentally cursed herself for being so jumpy. "Are you following me?" Jozie asks, looking amused. She was twirling a vape pen between her fingers as she eyed Hyesoo up and down.

watching those films and listening to those artists are the same feelings i get when reading MP. it felt like i was levitating, like a very ethereal feeling. it makes me miss something i never experienced. nostalgic, sentimental. what else can i say? to put it simply, it's just, dreamy. (i apologize for my lack of proper sentences, all i can use are these examples at best to be able to explain this, but reading it has just made me feel otherworldy. i ASCENDED. i don't feel real. like it was just that good. i am changed honestly. it makes me so emotional it's just so good thank you so much for putting out a masterpiece 🥹 like the comfort of the ice rink? the setting of your story and its overall vibe? magical.

the realness of each scene. the raw emotions. the quiet, mutual pining for years. the inside jokes. i honestly cried

i am already missing it in the moment even as i am still halfway through, but i will continue to forever and always miss and crave the same comfort mp gave me. there is like no other that could give me this same warmth 😭

A Chaotic Dive Into Fletcher's Sophomore Record In The Search Of The Antidote:

Fletcher releases her sophomore album In Search Of The Antidote. It comes two years after her stellar debut Girl Of My Dreams. She’s a greatly talented pop artist that dives deep into her life and who she in order to seek inspiration for the songs she writes. She’s raw and unfiltered, which really makes her standout and you find yourself intrigued by all that she has to say. Here again she doesn’t hold back. So get ready to go on this chaotic journey.

Maybe I Am - An opener that starts of with a tender strum of the guitar, however her vocal delivery and the lyrics have a very opposing feel. You get a sense of moodiness as she’s hearing all this outside noise and she brushes it off by saying maybe she is all the things she’s being called. She doesn’t seem to be fazed by the opinions of others. The chorus lifts with its dreamy heavy production and you find yourself completely immersed in it. She calms it down for the last couple of seconds pointing towards her feeling tired of it all. A start that indicates that we are going to be in for quite the rollercoaster of emotions.

Doing Better - The instrumentation from the start gets you tapping your feet to its beat. She’s letting it be known that she is doing better, however she finds that better feels worse. Which could be because of her ex still lingering in her mind to some extent. She sings about all the positive things she’s done since. However she makes it clear that all the success she’s had, hasn’t resolved all her issues. This drum heavy track has this badass vibe, however still retains a hint of vulnerability.

Ego Talking - Fletcher seems okay on the surface as she’s happy for her ex-partner to move on and have the time of their life. However internally her ego persuades her that regardless of who they are with, the love they share will never be as great as the one she shared with them. The first verse and pre-chorus are both tame with a light guitar carrying the production. When the chorus hits the production and her vocals soar, then for the next verse and pre-chorus though it calms down there is more to it than the first. Her use of ‘right’ in the pre-chorus and chorus seems to be her looking for reassurance that she’s not replaceable. She lets it be known at the end, that she’ll forever be theirs. Its the common occurrence of the difficulty in letting go of a significant love.

Lead Me On - Here the first verse has this dreamy feel to it and then the pace lifts following the first chorus. The drums take centre stage and the electric guitar is threaded throughout this rockstar moment. This will be such an electrifying song to experience live. Just before the bridge she takes it up a notch vocally, as she showcases how far her range can extend. She’s wanting them to give her even a little bit of attention and she’d be content with that, as she sings “So why don’t you just lead me on? ‘Cause something is better than nothing at all”. She really doesn’t want to let go as she tries to cling on to whatever she can, even if it may not necessarily be idealistic for her.

Two Things Can Be True - Fletcher wants to be delusional, as she wants to believe that the person of interest can still love her whilst loving someone else. The bass driven production remains steady and then lifts at the bridge. She brings it back down just before the song comes to an end. The production makes you feel as though you are in the middle of a car race, in a way playing to the topic at hand, where she seems to be competing with her ex’s new partner.

Eras Of Us - On this nostalgic track she’s looking through memories from the relationship alongside wondering what the other is up to. She throws in the title of her debut album which is a pretty cool moment in the track. She’s stuck in the past and is finding it hard to let go of the shared memories. The track finds connection with Taylor Swift’s The Era’s Tour, which when in attendance she ran into her ex-love. Like Taylor, Fletcher is going over all the memories (‘eras’). The production gradually builds as the song progresses with the drums coming in after the first chorus. The bridge feels chaotic as you feel the need to scream those lyrics alongside her and then she tones it down before closing the track.

Attached To You - Instantly gets you nodding your head to the beat. Fletcher really is opening herself up and highlighting how she is when it comes to being in and out of a relationship. She seems to ruin things on purpose out of the fear that things may end up being perfect. Here she’s afraid of becoming attached so she’s doing everything she can to prevent that from occurring as a way to protect herself. You are fully immersed in this track as its production makes it feel like it takes up the space around you and the infectious hook has you singing along to it from the get go. The verses are laid back and the production lifts for the chorus.

Crush - Here she looks back on the relationship reminiscing on the intensity of their love, though it wasn’t exactly healthy, the high is something you end up missing. The duality to the use of the word ‘crush’ is cleverly done. As at one point she’s wanting to know whether the other will crush her in the heat of their intimate moments and then at the end stating that letting go will do the same. She really pulls the production completely back for the verses, in the first chorus there is a slight rise and then it remains steady. Then lifts a little more during the second chorus. The drums soaring in tune with when she sings the word ‘crush’ really boosts its impact.

Pretending - The moody bass that feels right in your face instantly draws you in. It gives you this feeling of being on edge and then the chorus soars. The vocalisation that forms part of the chorus really takes over and you give yourself to the track. Here she sings about imagining the two together and what could be if they were. In the second verse she feels the pain that comes with the realisation that things just aren’t any longer working, but for now she’s wanting to go on pretending. It clearly isn’t an ideal headspace to be in, as it can end up consuming you. Her vocal delivery paired with the production gives you this feel of desperation to hold on.

Joyride - The moody guitar, that later fades into the back as the drums take centre stage, gets you into this vast feeling track. Here she seems to be singing about two people that aren’t exactly good for each other, however they want to give things a go. 

Antidote - This closer is the perfect end to the record as it’s her in search for healing. She wants to find an antidote that will help her deal with all that she’s been struggling with. The antidote here seems to be a person. She’s done caring about any of the outside noise and she knows that this particular person will be there for her in her moments of need. The songs feel in a way plays to the meaning behind the lyrics. It has a hint of soul to it in the way that her vocals are during the chorus. It makes you as the listener feel like you are being uplifted into a more positive space. The instrumentation during the bridge feels bright adding to the tracks hope driven nature.

The album is overall a short but impactful record. Its moody and gives of such rockstar vibes. She has such a powerful vocal delivery that adds to the rock feel. You find yourself captivated from start to finish. With the album mainly focusing on dealing with the demise of a relationship, the struggles of letting go and the search for healing. Her personal approach to songwriting allows for her music to resonate with you. Fletcher is definitely an artist worth checking out and one that deserves so much more recognition.
