Dragonero & Zagor Speciale 08 Il Viaggio Degli Eroi Enoch, Gregorini, Hamilton, Rubini Ed. Bonelli (Luglio 2021)

I due eroi Bonelli si incontrano nuovamente in modo da permettere a Patrick di ricambiare la visita precedente. Tra le pagine di questo albo lussuoso verrete abbagliati da colori sgargianti, da un graficamente spettacolare Gmor, da qualche seno scoperto e da uno Zagor tratteggiato finalmente in modo moderno e in linea con la qualità delle copertine di Piccinelli e, nella fattispecie, di Rubini. Vi confesso che nelle mie recensioni alla collana dello Spirito con la Scure troverete spesso qualche riferimento alla forbice che si è creata tra le copertine cinetiche e accurate del nostro e i disegni classicheggianti e simil-ferriani delle pagine interne. Appartengo alla categoria di lettori che amerebbe vedere uno Zagor più moderno, lasciando più liberi i disegnatori di esprimere la loro espressività e in questo speciale sono stato accontentato, soprattutto grazie alla presenza di un cast targato Dragonero, reso in modo graficamente coerente con il suo aspetto “regolare”, il che ha trascinato con sé anche il look del cugino di Darkwood. Dopotutto siamo a casa di Ian! Più o meno... perché non mancano le intromissioni multiversali della realtà, compresa la nostra dimensione ordinaria, cioè quella di noi lettori, in un complicato sfondamento di quarta parete, come si direbbe al cinema. Se lasciavamo fare ai cattivi sciamani dell'albo probabilmente fuori dalla finestra ci saremmo visti una mongolfiera solcare i cieli nazionali con a bordo Zagor e Dragonero! Il nostro Spirito con la Scure inizialmente pare un po' troppo soltanto un semplice e impacciato testimone degli eventi per poi diventare a sorpresa un latin-lover tutto sommato anche abbastanza ben disposto nei confronti di un esuberante gruppetto di donne-piranha. Sia Dragonero che Zagor mi sono sembrati generalmente abbastanza “ingessati”, prigionieri del loro status-symbol e più volte sembrano delegare l'espressività ai comprimari, Gmor e Cico, tanto diversi quanto simili, tra battute e pasticci. Cico a dir la verità a volte è più ottenebrato che demenzialmente spiritoso come è sua consuetudine. Mi sono sempre piaciute le situazioni che sfruttano il colore, approfittando quando se ne offre l'occasione, dai numeri centenari di Martin Mystere in poi, e in questo albo queste occasioni vanno sotto il nome di “porporina”, una trovata simpatica, forse un po' troppo fugace, ma soprattutto la colorazione degli sfondi che ha reso gradevole anche la vignetta più scarna. Guardate ad esempio le prime due di pagina 54 dove Alben e un Zagor in una rara versione “strabiliata” sono circondati dalle tinte ocra della stanza del mago (e da una mano a testa, che non guasta mai!?). Di vignette belle e di ampio respiro ce ne sono molte, come ci hanno abituato sceneggiatori e disegnatori di Dragonero, e la cosa non dispiace affatto agli occhi. In questo caso per di più arricchite dal colore! Che goduria! A volte nelle panoramiche più ampie non convince la stilizzazione dei protagonisti che mi ricordano un po' il gioco dei trasferelli di quando ero piccolo: figurine che venivano incollate a piacere su sfondi disegnati, ma che sembravano sempre e comunque separate dal contesto, chiaramente attaccate in un secondo momento, dando un profondo senso di irrealtà. Insomma, tanto valeva incollarli dove capitava, cioè sui quaderni e sui libri di scuola o sui muri e le finestre di casa. Questo ricordo è riaffiorato alla memoria quando ho visto il trasferello di Zagor sul meraviglioso sfondo di pagina 45 o lo sticker di Dragonero davanti al panorama di pagina 49. Le insistite lune salumieristicamente affettate che si stagliano nei cieli dell'Erondar fanno da cornice cosmica a viaggi aerei i più disparati. D'altronde quel bastone da rabdomante con l'aquila stampigliata sul petto che risponde al nome di Zagor ha l'unica capacità di percepire la sua scure in ogni dove (oltre che di infervorare la “bella” cavallerizza di draghi). Sì perchè tutta la trama gira intorno alla scure del bel moraccione, in versione martello di Thor precipitato su Midgard, inamovibile e inavvicinabile... tranne che per il suo

legittimo proprietario. E pensare che fino a un attimo prima il mjoln... ah no, la scure se ne stava bel bella nella bacheca di casa Aranill, ma da un luogo in capo al mondo, anzi addirittura “al di là” di esso, qualcuno ne ha percepito la presenza e se l'è accalappiato. Con fin troppa non chalance! Per chiudere il discorso sul colore, che dopo la reunion bonelliana è il terzo motivo per cui acquistare questo albo (il primo è che c'è Dragonero con ben disegnati comprimari; il secondo è che c'è Zagor: sì perché, come dicevamo, Cico non va considerato perché non fa la solita degna figuraccia), a tratti mi è sembrato un po' eccessivo e un filino urlato: al di là della casacca di Zagor che da sempre meraviglia come non abbia ancora svolto fino in fondo la sua funzione di faro segnaletico per tiratori scelti e cacciatori di taglie (ma sta lì il suo bello!), l'altro colpo cromatico lo infliggono i draghi volanti. Dopo una ricerchina su internet ho dedotto che siamo di fronte a una variazione dei causari australiani, gli uccelli più pericolosi al mondo, ma con un pizzico di pterodattilo, un po' di crinierina che non guasta mai e una zampa d'oca in fondo alla coda. Effettivamente anche i casuari sono parecchio sgargianti, anche se buttano più sul blu, ma nel nostro albo sono a tratti imprudentemente arancionati. Una parola sulla storia che per esigenze di copione deve per forza essere auto-conclusiva, lineare, soddisfacente per entrambi i fandom, nella categoria editoriale neanche troppo lunga come certi maxi o specialoni e quindi a rischio di debolezza strutturale. Qui in 130 pagine si viaggia allegramente da una dimensione all'altra tra draghi di tutti i colori e si è testimoni di 1) inseguimenti estenuanti tra pipistrelli e mongolfiere (e senza un Jumbo tra capo e collo che mai a nessuno venga in mente di buttar giù sto pallone a fucilate o artigliate!); 2) bonellianamente insolite nudità e disinibizioni femminili che trasformano i nostri beniamini in eroi-oggetto; 3) epico scontro finale; 4) Zagor che infila la mano nel campo energetico sbriciolante al suono di un epico “rah, la scure è mia e me la prendo io”. Insomma, il fumetto finisce e... beh, è finito! Ah, mi piacerebbe aver colto il cameo della foto nel maggiolone, ma purtroppo non è così quindi attendo lumi.
