#god Sabretooth

Inspired by many posts made by @honey-minded-hivemind and @hermesserpent-stuff

Unlike these two amazing writers, I'm going to focus more on a romantic au instead of platonic. I really enjoy the aus in which the x-men and brotherhood are dieties, and find the concept interesting. I suppose this could be considered a late Valentines special. Hope you enjoy it!

Victor Creed/Reader

Reader will be written as female. However, you can imagine them however you wish!

It was quiet besides the usual sounds of nature. To anyone else, it would be normal, but Victor wasn't exactly a normal man. He was no man at all if he had anything to say about it. No, he was a God of Nature, the Hunt, and unlike mortals, he could hear more than they could imagine. Conclusion? It was quiet, too quiet.

He didn't know how he found himself on this new island, but curiosity couldn't kill him, so he decided to explore. Victor Creed was a god, and he knew for a fact that whoever, whatever, made this island wasn't mortal. After all, mortals can't keep an island hidden from the gods themselves. Like any good hunter, he was careful. He may be a prideful diety, but he knew that whoever resided in an island so magically guarded had to be strong. Either that, or this island was a prison. A prison strong enough that not even he nor the others could find out about its existence.

Still, he couldn't help but be relaxed. He was a God of nature, after all, and this island was practically all of that. A clean beach with white sand, fading into a lush forest with flower fields and clearings spread inside it, a lake and rivers scattered around with the sounds of a waterfall somewhere nearby, all that and a beautiful mountain sprinkled with snow at the peak somewhere in the middle of the large island. A paradise is what it was, what it is. He had been angry before arriving here, at what he did not know, but he was no longer angry now. He felt... calm, calmer than he had in years. The animal within him, strong and immortal as it may be, felt safe for once in a long time.

Humming was what snapped him out of his thoughts. Music that did not come from his own lips. Humming so sweet and soft, he almost tripped, if only because he should've heard a heartbeat before anything else. He stilled, quiet as a mouse whilst the gentle wind carried the humming tune. A heartbeat soon joined after. He had been distracted. Was the peace of this island really enough to make him lower his gaurd so much? Victor shook his head as he followed the sound.

Whoever resided on this island was dangerous. Whether this place was their prison or not, he would not trust them. No, instead, he would find out what he could of them and this island. Then, he would leave. Maybe even tell the others of this place if he felt so inclined.

Meanwhile, as she hummed a tune, a woman made flowers bloom. A goddess, hidden from the world for so many years, smiled gently as some of her creations drifted downstream. The nymphs of the island were resting now, off in the many other places her paradise held. Reader was used to her life on the island of Eiríni. The Goddess of hearth, home, and peace thought of the nymphs born and raised here as family. Each and every life big and small residing on the island was in her care. Her magic, ever present, kept her home alive and well. She did what she usually would on a day like this, sitting near the river bank as she grows plants all around the area. The animals enjoy new food to try every once and a while after all. Unknowing of the guest she would soon meet.

Victor wouldn't admit that it took him a bit to find the owner of the voice. He wouldn't admit that when he silently nudged branches away as he walked closer, his heart stopped if only for a moment. Hidden slightly in the shade that the trees made, he stood still as a statue. Victor didn't know why he froze, why when he laid eyes upon the woman who continued to hum whilst she worked unaware of his presence, he suddenly couldn't speak. For a moment, he felt like he had been struck in the chest by what he did not know. He felt no pain, yet he suddenly was anxious for the first time in what felt like forever.

Reader paused, her song no longer in the air as she heard something new. Having been too occupied with her previous task to notice. She looked up, her eyes meeting Victor's just as he snapped out of his frozen state. Neither mentioned the way time seemed to stop for a moment, neither spoke of the way they felt as if an arrow had painlessly flew through them. After all, love at first sight was such a silly thing, even to the gods. For why would Love, the one diety no one could run from, decide they deserved such a thing? A punishment, a curse, a blessing, none could know. After all, love works in mysterious ways.

Victor knew this woman was no mortal, just as Reader could tell the same for him. The two gods stood in front of each other silently for a moment. As if unsure what they should do. Still, Reader was the first to speak.

"I apologize, I was unaware I had a guest. I am Reader, goddess of hearth, home, and peace. What brings you to Eiríni?"

That was all it took. It was a simple introduction, and yet, it changed the course of history. For on that day, Victor Creed, Sabretooth, Dual god of nature, god of the hunt, and predators, fell in love. Even if he did not yet know it. He would hold Reader in his heart forevermore.

I could go on about this story, and I could sing praise to the many things created from their love. Alas, those are tales for another day. For today, my friend, today we look to the lush forests of the world and take time to listen to the song nature brings. For Earth is both peaceful and violent. Yet it is our home nonetheless.

wouldnt logan even wanna know why this guy sees him this way? like yea, he asks about the bday thing, but after years n years of searching for himself, wouldnt sabes be someone worth having at least a SMALL conversation about that shit with? and WHY he wants him so badly to see them as equals?

i mean. imo it could have something to do with the slight tone of jealousy here—

and a bit of the ecstatic reaction he gave after hearing logan wanted him to kill his gf instead of kitty.

the film X-Men Origins: Wolverine is an au of the Wolverine: Origin comics that also took heavy influence from the Wolverine 1988 comics, merging the character of Dog from Origin with Victor Creed(aka Sabretooth) from the 1988 comics. in this au, Victor replaces the character Dog, as well as the character Rose

Sabretooth and Dog in the comics are 2 different characters, and they were only merged for this film. but, due to the film not calling anyone by their names in the beginning, this confused a fuck ton of fans. they even left out explaining how Logan got his name, only leaving Thomas Logan to be referenced in the credits(his biological father, who he killed)
