[MMD TF x MLB] Beetleborg and Dinofelis

Beetleborg and Dinofelis are temporary Ladybug and Black Cat wielders in MPOTP, being chosen by Tikki and Plagg after their original wielders were temporarily unavailable. They are unique in being the first and so far only mechanical-based lifeforms capable of wielding and using a Miraculous of any kind. Why this happened is currently unknown but is theorized that both subject possess a Spark, making them truly living beings capable of going beyond their programming.

Names:

Dinofelis and Beetleborg chose their respective names for different reasons.

Dinofelis chose his name due to mentally searching up names of cats and found an extinct species of sabertooth cat called Dinofelis. Intrigued, the Android took the name for himself.

Beetleborg is named after the show Big Bad Beetleborgs Metallix, though this was because the subject couldn't find any "cool" or intriguing names regarding Ladybug species.

Powers:

Like previous wielders of their respective Miraculous, Beetleborg and Dinofelis possess the powers of creation and destruction, being able to use Lucky Charm and Cataclysm along with enhance durability, strength and speed.

However, the Miraculous also modifies their blueprints being able to Beetleborg fly and Dinofelis with a sonic cry.

Tools/Accessories

Beetleborg comes equipped with a pair of swords that emerge from the gauntlets on her forearms, capable of slicing through materials such as Sixshot's armor (Which was made from collapsed star metals) Her jetpack allows her to fly up to Mach 5, but will hesitate in using it, as prolonged use will damage her internal systems. Her eyes act like most robotic lenses but can see Kwamis due to her Spark being a factor in her design.

Dinofelis has claws that can slice though most metals just like Beetleborg's blades. He possesses the ability to use an X Buster-like cannon on both arms, capable of firing energy projectiles being able to charge up to a point. His staff is made of solid titanium, being able to extend up to 12 stories long. His cat-like senses allow him to be able to notice things that aren't picked up by most people.

wada sez: Per deviantART, this was actually a test for an IDW comic featuring Overlord! IDW didn’t do anything with it, for obvious reasons. I’ve decided to serialise it here for the archive, as it’s basically an extension of Mas’ and Oliveros’ work on “Human Component”. I’ve included various bits of commentary from Mas, from various bits of ancillary artwork.

Well, here are some designs I did for an acquaintance who had a project related to this character and that will be rotting in some drawer in San Diego.. to the detriment of other things that are being edited.... say...... different........ is what there is........... a shame, because the thing looked pretty good.

In fact I think I like this person quite a lot how he does things, he has good and clear ideas, projects that are more than interesting and he is serious.

About Overlord... oof! what a great character! his toy seems to me one of the best that were released in the Transformers line, very playable, with many possibilities.

Let's see if I can put the complete "base" mode.

Well.... here is a scene that recreates a little bit the chapters of Masterfroce in which Ginrai is defeated by Overlord and in some way the duality that the character has due to its human components...

I really would have also liked to show the previous battle... but... everything can't be.... even so, it wasn't bad at all, although it is true that once finished I would have preferred to change the second panel, or add some other....

It didn’t turn out all bad.

This is a panel for a Mosaic about Overlord, which also at the time served as a pitch for an IDW project about this character. In the end, the project was dismissed because he was a Japanese character, and they claimed that he had no market in the US because he wasn't a well-known character.

For a project that I imagine IDW would have discarded, because it's not very much in the editorial and sales line they have.

It's always fun to do this kind of things... don't look too much at the drawing itself, the anatomy is not right, I corrected it, I have a file with a good drawing. I focused basically on the shapes and details of the armor. There are also some perspective errors etc... but well, for what I was interested in, I didn't care.

In any case I wanted that the aspect of these armors had a somewhat different look from the rest, those of Giga and Mega are more threatening, they look more organic, they are more violent, perhaps more exaggerated and lavish, as they spend almost all the time in an underwater base, I thought that perhaps it would be good that they had the aspect of a crustacean or something like that.

I eliminated the exaggerated spikes on the forearms, they are uncomfortable to draw and neither functional nor anatomical, but I replaced them with smaller ones and for more quantity respecting the spirit of the character, the ones on the shoulders, I had to keep them, they were too characteristic.

In any case it is an armor with a lot of detail, it was a challenge to draw it in each vignette, but well, I don't know what was more complex if it was the challenge of doing the intricate and complex script or the realistic and detailed drawing. But it was worth it. You would have liked it...

It's cool, the basic shapes are very similar to the old design, the basics are kept, here Giga appears without a helmet, the helmet was intended to be retractable, that somehow was collected behind, and when he wanted to start to pile up many pieces around the face to form the helmet.

So nice. maybe now that I will have a few days with time, I will dedicate myself to draw the whole scene where this man appeared in this pose....

One of the designs for the Masterforce series that I prepared and that has not been carried out. I tried to respect the original design as well as the outlandish colors as much as possible "correcting" some things that actually, were not quite right.

A little bit of quick color to have more or less clear the range, and ... the cape is an original creation, I think it simply looked good and brought that majestic air that the category of the character has in the original series. I thought that maybe like the helmet, it could simply be retractable and ready.

I know the show tries to play Godbomber as a drone.. but they are powered by Ginrai’s soul and show bits of personality based on him.. so I opt to believe even in a round about way they are a living person on the blurred line self.

Now we return to the Gotchard Cast and their assigned Cybertronians.

The Gotchard Cast, Not-Horny Kaguya/Houou, Soundblaster, and all their assigned Cybertronians have found Giygas Gigist and decide to attack for what he has down. The four Riders, Gotchard, Majade, Valvarad, Legend and Psuedo-Rider, Valvarad (Lachesis), enter the building while the Soundblaster, Renge and Sabimaru, and the other assigned Cybertronians prepare to attack Gigist when one of the Riders signals them attack.

Gigist: Well, well, well, if it isn't Houtaro Ichinose, the big crybaby, and his worthless and weak friends.

Houtaro: We're not afraid of you Gigist.

Rinne: We've gotten stronger since we last met.

Spanner: Your the joke here Gigist.

Lachesis: If only you weren't all of that yourself.

Houou: You talk a lot shit for guy who's about to get his ass kicked.

But before Gigist can attack the five Heroes, Soundblaster and the assigned Cybertronians appear after Houtaro gave his signal.

Soundblaster: Dark King Gigist, the one who hurt our friends, prepare to meet your end.

A fight then happens, and despite Gigist's power, he is no much for:

After a lot of fighting, Houtaro, in his Rainbow Gotchard form, and Ginrai, combined with his trailer and Godbomber, a drone that Ginrai control and and can combine with, as God Ginrai, use both of their finishers, Rainbow Fever and God Fire Guts, which transforms Ginrai's entire body into a blazing fireball, respectively on Gigist. With the duo's combined power, they are able to finally kill Gigist and avenge those that have been hurt by them.

What are the Riders reaction to the Gotchard Cast, Soundblaster, and their assigned Cybertronians beat the literal shit out of Gigist, and Gigist being killed by the combined power of Houtaro as Rainbow Gotchard and Ginrai as God Ginrai.

Riders are always proud when one of their own obliterates a bad guy into oblivion... and especially when a Baby Rider and co does it

yeah as the title suggests it’s just me being bored so

it’s not really the whole shipping shtick as some other people do and it’s more or less me wanting to dump my thoughts and such so here we go

-the transtectors that the headmaster juniors and godmasters use for both sides were sentient beforehand, or in the case of the headmaster juniors, were created for cyberdroids on planet master, in particular goshooter was made for jack from headmasters before his demise, overlord meanwhile was a decepticon warlord that ended up getting put into stasis lock sometime during the timeskip between season one of the jap g1 show and season 2 aka transformers 2010 or the movie.

-godbomber has it’s own seperate intelligence from god ginrai, personality wise basically springer but snarkiness toned down a bit

-mostly because we can’t have a transformers show without the starscream trope, overlord wants to basically take over whatever devil z’s planning and rejoin the main decepticon forces in space, but can’t really do much cuz AHEM married couple momento

-after the end of super god masterforce and sometime between victory, buster and hydra actually end up being split from their transtector bodies via some weird ass scifi experiment courtesy of deathsaurus or whatever, with their transtector bodies gaining their personalities, albeit without a sibling relationship

-scorponok actually did end up surviving the destruction of blackzarak after devil z took over his body, but in a fitting act of karma for the stunts he pulled during headmasters, got captured by the autobots and imprisoned.

-the other decepticon pretenders from the 1988 toyline were also apart of dauros group when they ended up on earth thousands of years ago, but never really got a chance to do much cause well, they’re dead jim.

-the decepticon forces in space aren’t under the control of blackzarak, but rather a trio of soundblaster, cyclonus, and scourge

-turtler had a robot mode like his toy, but got modelocked into his turtle form mostly as a punishment for failing devil z after a undisclosed mission

-the seacon drones do have their american counterparts personalities, but they’ve been cloned so many fucking times they got NO sparks so..

-buster and hydra’s transtectors also are able to combine with leozack, hellbat and guyhawk and needlenose (a double targetmaster fyi) to turn into a combiner named stormrunner, of course being a combiner he’s dumb as a sack of rocks, but basically powerful as heck, spinster having a helicopter alt mode does join in to form a replacement limb or turn into a weapon a la the seacons but it’s rather rare though

E19: The Kang Dynasty

So here it is, the Avengers head to space to confront Kang the Conqueror! It's episode 19, "The Kang Dynasty" not to be confused with Avengers: Kang Dynasty coming soon. Though they LOVE reusing the same titles from comic books to cartoons to movies. ("Age of Ultron" was a a run of comics and they used the name for the second Avengers movie even though it was more like "A Day or Two of Ultron" in that case.)

Our team is: Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye, Wasp and Ant-Man. All the white people since T'Challa went back to protect Wakanda from Kang's invasion of Earth. (Well, I guess Hulk is green.)

We are almost immediately another Avenger down, because Kang locks his weapons onto the Avengers (which would include much of New York as well), and Thor jumps out of the spaceship and absorbs the blast/sends it back to Kang with Mjölnir, so it will not kill millions. Wasp worries he is dead but Hulk assures her "goldilocks is tough" and I know he's right because I've seen this show before.

I feel like any variant of Thor can be counted on to do something very stupid but heroic to save people. Like in the comics, he dives into the Godbomb using two Mjölnirs to stop Gorr. In the movies, he takes a blast from a star to forge Stormbreaker. Here he's absorbing the full force of future lasers. What a dummy; I love him.

Just about everyone gets to do something fun this episode. Hawkeye is psyched he gets to shoot from the Quinjet at alien craft. Jan gets to fly around in space, since Tony made her a suit that allows her to, and she is awed by space. I would argue, you should be awed by space. It's objectively cool to be in space.

As a result of Jan and Tony keeping the alien craft off the Avengers' ship, they are not with the others when they arrive in the ship. Hulk gets to punch a hole in Kang's spaceship (the Damocles), allowing the Quinjet to land aboard. And he says "that was fun." I have never seen the Hulk so happy.

Jan tricks Kang's own scarabs into blasting holes in the ship so she and Tony can sneak in. At the same time, we get the news that all the ships around Wakanda have "disappeared." (So T'Challa's having some fun even if he's not with the team.)

If only millions of people on Earth weren't dying this would be the best day ever.

Hank leads the others to the "time drive", the thing that allows the ship to time travel. If they destroy it, then the ship will go back to where it belongs. But meanwhile, Wasp sneaks through the air ducts of the ship and finds Ravonna, in her stasis. Jan, being Jan, wants to know if she is okay.

Ravonna has, of course, appeared in the MCU in Loki and I am still confused as to what her connection with Kang is in that universe. Here it's a bit simpler. Kang loves her, and she's dying because of the time anomaly.

There is fighting. Kang captures Steve, who he blames for everything. They bicker until Tony shows up and hacks into the Damocles' system. Some fighting. Steve and Tony beat Kang. The Avengers send all the ships on Earth back to the future. They are about to send Kang and the Damocles back when Wasp stops them.

See Wasp doesn't want "Princess" Ravonna to die, and if they send her back then she will be erased from existence. She spills all the tea that Kang loves her and did all this to keep her alive (which seems to embarrass Kang). The Avengers are like, "Bro, we could have helped you" but Kang is like "NEVER!" so they have to fight some more until he's down.

They put Kang in one of the Negative Zone prison cells, while Reed Richards (first appearance, he doesn't speak) and Hank study Ravonna's stasis. Ultron stands by menacingly.

It's not the most epic of battles. At the end, it feels like neither side has "won." On the other hand, it seems the solution to Kang is to let Wasp and Ravonna hash things out. She can't talk in this, but if she could I bet she'd be more reasonable. And while we haven't seen Ravonna and Kang's relationship in the MCU but we have seen that he respects (even though he feels betrayed by) Janet Van Dyne.

1: aaah I have no idea what's unpopular. I stick to my own corner most the time but def probably that Energon was not that bad guys. And that Kicker is a GREAT fun human protagonist who gets more shit then he deserves.

2: Transformers? Unicron trilogy. Non TF? Not an show but a video game but I high Recommend the Tales of Series. (which do have some anime adaptions so I'm using that as an excuse)

3: I don't know if I have funny ones persay off the top of my head? but I def think Godbomber (Masterforce) is alive and once ate a tree because she saw the kiddos eating broccoli and wanted to mirror them
