True Jesus Worship

If snot is not flying out of my nose by the end of the worship session… I don’t think I want it. I will say… What caused me to be more intrigued by worship so to speak… is watching others get so intimate with God, it lifted up my own soul. I haven’t always been this way. In fact, I never really knew the depths of Worship until recently. I need a Worship session honey lol. And I understand that in the house of God, there’s announcements, the sermon and whatever else ties in between the service… But there is something about worship that calms something inside of you at least just enough for you to do something small in faith. Like write down your goals, get up and make a Sandwich, take the shower… There’s something about Worship where your spirit is speaking to God as God speaks back. Have you ever watched a worship session and feel the Holy Spirit through the screen? There’s just something about being pulled into God’s presence as well as dwelling in God’s presence that is simply put, a vibe. I was going to say a vibe of peace… But the reason why most of us worship is to tap into God and his peace. I won’t say that. But I need war cries, tears. One thing I learned about worship is this… all of us in the room just need one radical Jesus worshiper to set the tone. And if I can say with respect and without judgment because again, I was at a point in life where I lifted my hands just to do it… not really realizing the power of worship. But if I can say with respect and love… if I can’t Worship God in the house of God for at least 15 minutes or more.. (I don’t know if that’s too much) I just don’t know. I don’t want to put on a show. Hurting people with all respect and love… they probably just came from the club they don’t need a show. They probably have had enough of that. I’ve seen worshippers dwell into God so much it spoke to my heart without them having to speak to me. And no judgment because I’m not at all perfect… But Worship session me please lol. And Worship session all of my peers and Genz who are hurting so much, they need to see what Worship from the heart looks like. There is a time and place for everything, and a lot of times there are plain out Worship sessions all night… and there’s Worship before service. Either way I think we all need our spirits pulled into God’s presence, being able to dwell in him while our spirits feel the genuinity. 

However, there are times where our souls are so heavy we can’t Worship and I’ve been there too. I learned sometimes you have to fake it until you make it, but God willing that’s a post for another time.

Ugly life, Beautiful God

You're hungry, tired, broke and broken in a world that looks down on you for how you look. You feel like nothing is in your favor, you feel like the least favorite. Many of us know these feelings very well. You know... the one in the far corner to the left of the building a bit slumped over, not looking like they fit in. The one who never seemed to have a chance. And if you're getting offended as I write this... don't. There is a beautiful God who isn't afraid to get down into the slumps with you. God does not fear your darkness, your depression, your addiction, your brokenness. God will get down with you on that floor in the dark while you wonder why you're even alive. The darkness and the ugly doesn't scare God. The beauty is... A God THAT beautiful loves you so much that he counts the hairs on your head. (Luke 12:7)

A God that beautiful is mindful of you and thinks of you constantly. I know it hurts... I know its honestly simply put, shameful to not look like everybody else and have a story you feel no one would understand. But reference the last post.... all doesn't have to be pretty for you to get with God. I actually sort of envy those who seem to have no one else but God. Time to focus on him, meet him, and dwell in him. Remember that when you're down to nothing and all you have is God... that is literally all that you will ever need. All you'll ever need. In a world full of distractions, if you're a "misfit." you're the most blessed. You have nothing but God and if you think about it, that's beautiful. Use what you have, take it one day at a time, and know if your past is ugly... a beautiful God still loves you.
