hogh i was just clicking around etsy and came across this artist with an anthro furry style that catapulted me back to my deviantart days, the kind of art i would stare at for hours being like 'thats what i want to draw like. this person GETS it'. like a sense memory more vivid than anything i've felt in years. nostalgia disney fucking wishes it could capitalize on
and then i saw a comment on their profile that this person has been posting art for decades and also has a DA page, so it's entirely possible that i also stumbled across her stuff 15+ years ago and had the same awed reaction i had just now
So I know the last picture is not a necessarily accurate depiction of Anubis, but I needed something to compare the statue to, and I think its safe to say the statuette is in fact: Anubis.
If it is him, what the hell happened?! Why was he turned into stone? Does anyone have any ideas?
I hope they didn’t turn him like that because he was evil or something (that would really suck and i’m tired of the ‘’ANUBIS IS EVIL BECAUSE LORD OF THE DEAD’’ thing).
You know what would suck even more? That he isn’t in the show. He’s one of the most famous and well liked egyptian deities, god dammit! I hope we see him next episode.
If you're unfamiliar with Goldenwolf's work, you're missing out. She's one of my absolute favorite artists. You can find her art on Etsy at @goldenwolfart or on her website.

Sometimes a Kierrn will grow fond of a human and may try to change them. This generally doesn’t go well. Only 10% survive the changing bite, and of those only about half make it past their first year. As a result Kierrn are fairy rare in the world.
