I think we don't talk about this scene enough, so let's dive in:
Tumblr media
Earlier episode 5 establishes that Din and Bo had grown closer to each other, while staying at the Covert:
Tumblr media
There's plenty of space so there's no need to sit so close to each other unless they've grown closer.
Now back to this scene where the Armorer asks Bo to remove her helmet.
She was hesitant, and we rarely see Bo being hesitant about anything.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now ask yourself why? Why was she so hesitant here?
Why wouldn't she want to get rid of her helmet? Not so long ago, she called Din's tribe a cult because of keeping their helmets on.
So what changed?
She lost her home. Din offered shelter. Then she *accidentally* joined his cult.
It's not indicated anywhere how much time passes between episode 3 and 5, but I would say at least a few weeks, if not a couple of months.
So why wouldn't she be relieved to receive the chance of removing her helmet?
You could say, well because she would become an apostate in the other's eyes, and therefore would be thrown out of the Tribe.
But, the Armorer refutes that by explaining "Bo Katan is walking both worlds."
But she is not concerned with the others, at least not at first. Her whole attention is hanging on Din's reaction.
She's afraid of losing his respect, and his friendship they had forged during their time together in the Covert up until this point.
She seems to want to say something in her own defence, but can't, because there's nothing. Instead, she's pleading with her eyes. (Katee's acting here is phenomenal)
This moment is about whether or not Din will reject her for taking off the helmet, like her Nite Owls rejected her for not getting the Dark saber.
And we know, that he not only doesn't reject her, (like he did in the past at their first meeting), but he joins to help her seek out her fleet.
From this point on, Bo is looking for his approval, and support.
Continuously!

It's so intriguing to watch how much she comes to rely on Din.
Then the pledge scene:
She's completely taken off guard.
She didn't expect him to support her after revealing how she surrendered, which inevitably led to the Night of a Thousand Tears.
This time Din goes beyond the simple nod of support by pledging his undying loyalty.
Tumblr media
This marks another turning point in their relationship.
*Don't even try to tell me this isn't romantic as hell!!!*
It's clear where their relationship is heading.
She even says it:

Rewatching RWRB (what else is new) and Taylor absolutely KILLS the scene with Uma after he gets back from Paris. I feel like his acting was so good throughout but that scene was just so elevated, Taylor gave everything in that scene it was amazing.

First, out of order
Wish I hadn't seen First in Moonlight Chicken before his other roles since I really didn't like Alan, because First defintely made Alan convincingly unhappy and angry, to the point that I was kinda "ugh, that actor who played Alan." But First in Not Me is a revelation. Up to Ep 7 so far and having a blast with this direct action gay clique, and Yok is very appealing and so different from Alan.

I give the movie I just watched exactly two kudos:
1. He would have died after being stabbed by a kitchen knife that long and then being stitched back together by someone with little to no medical expertise, and
2. It would have taken a day or two for him to die, likely from the internal bleeding or sepsis or whatever he ultimately died of, since the person fixing him, again, had no medical expertise and only knew he was declining after being stitched up.
So, good job on that, movie. And literally nothing else. Lol

What's awesome about this is that he doesn't just grab and hug her. He announces it, while looking directly in her eyes, then goes in for the hug. You just know that if she looked any sort of uncomfortable with that he would have pulled up short and apologized.

I know you're not going to watch, but I looked at the trailer, and... dude, Katie is in it for two seconds, and the lower half of her face is covered in a mask.
Not only did they get little to nothing to fap over, but she's (literally) sitting with half her face covered. And it's the more interesting half.
I mean, they're used to breadcrumbs by now, but if that's all they're getting for the duration of the series (fully clothed Katie sitting with only half her face showing), I think it's safe to say the attractive redhead cocking two guns at the same time in a bedroom (also a two-second shot) will get more attention from the men.
I mean, infortunatelly I saw the pic but I'm kind of dying because she still has a better makep than Lobotomizer on dansen wedding.
Still, condolences for JW's franchise fans, some super dumb shit incoming their way.

I think we need to get more comfortable with the idea that sometimes shitty, racist, homophobic, bigoted people are still incredibly talented.
I feel like every time I see a post addressing someone’s shitty behavior the post also takes the time to mention that they’re not even good at [x] anyway. And that’s just not always true? Equating being good at a skill as being morally good is just not necessary. Someone can be a fantastic writer, can have a beautiful singing voice, can create breathtaking artwork, and still be a horrible person.
I know part of this is probably just the instinct to dislike everything about a person when you dislike them, but I also think this mindset leads to people defending creatives way past where they should, because if bad people create bad art, then if this person creates art that I like and resonates with me, then they can’t be a bad person!
And you know. That’s just not true. Those two things are simply completely unconnected and I think it’d be healthier if we all started disconnecting them in our heads.
