I need to give some love to Loona in this episode. Specifically how she did not object to Stolas coming home with them.

Because she’s been in the exact same situation. Left alone, nowhere to go…

And then Blitz saved her.

So she paid that same kindness forward to Stolas.

By not asking any questions.

Just doing what she can to help.

Giving him a similar (edit oops) sweater she was wearing at the orphanage when she met Blitz.

Because she knows that no one, no matter who or what they are, should be alone.

Despite what Damon Maitsu wants to think, he has been incredibly trusting and kind throughout the Killing Game thus far. His actions contradict a lot of his own inner thoughts. Even though he is often rude he’s also rather kind, and that’s important to recognize since he wants to believe he’s so de-attached from everyone.

I think the first thing that comes to mind is the first trial’s Pathos route, where Damon decides to defend Diana based on his gut feeling despite all the clear evidence- or, trusting Diana’s character to be true over his own deductions. The second thing is when he realizes his trust of Eva is built on nothing. What both of these things have in common is how mad Damon is about it. Damon doesn’t want to defend Diana, he gets incredibly mad at himself when he realizes he’s sympathetic to her crying and wants to trust in her. The same goes for Eva, but his trust is lost instead. Damon gets angry when he realizes the only reason he trusted Eva was because he fell into the “Us vs Them” mentality, and he automatically grouped Eva in with himself, but Eva didn’t do the same thing. At the core of the issue, Damon is mad because without even realizing it, he is a hypocrite. He claims the students shouldn’t be able to so easily trust each other, then went and easily trusted just the same- and chose the worst person to acknowledge he trusted.

I say Damon acknowledges he trusted Eva because I think Damon trusts the other students more than he realizes. He is easily able to engage in Free Time Events with every student, except Grace. The fact there’s no Grace FTE’s, or to be Meta an exception to “hang out with your favourites!” rule, makes it feel in-character that Damon trusts the other students enough with his safety, but not Grace. Also, a lot of what happens in those FTE’s like Jean picking up Damon by his ankles has to mean they’re at least some sort of comfort with each other. The other students do seem comfortable with Damon, even the youngest student Toshiko knows she can call Damon a cutesy name like Mochi- he’s unhappy about it but ultimately does nothing. Ingrid asks him to help with the laundry and he agrees- grumbles about it later to himself but doesn’t actually protest to Ingrid’s face, and does his share. There’s also the fact that Damon doesn’t protest the roommate rule, and then how immediately comfortable he gets with said roommate. He even prefers to sleep in Kai’s room at a certain point, as sleeping alone in his own room makes him too anxious as opposed to sleeping along with someone else. For someone who claims to be untrusting, Damon spends a lot of time with other people one-on-one and in group settings, and being kind to them as well.

The only time I can think Damon doesn’t cooperate with the group is when Eva shows him the Tozu Equation and he says they should keep it secret. However, even then, Damon means *he and Eva* should keep it secret. He still means to work with Eva, as their own private team. He doesn’t go work on it on his own at any point, and asks her about it later if she had made any progress. When she says no, Damon assures her that he hadn’t expected her to with all the ongoing issues. He believes her at face value and doesn’t go to check on it, and was kind to her about the issue.

Still, there is an obvious elephant in the room: Damon is still an outsider. He’s not part of the group, there’s no equal exchange of first. The obvious solution, and one Damon comments on himself multiple times, is that he’s cooperating with them only to gain their trust, *not* because he trusts them. However, I think Damon is lying to himself, or is just unaware of how much trust he puts into his actions. For a comparison, I want us to look at Eva. Eva only spends time individually with Damon, who she “trusts”. Other than that, the only time we see her with others is to gather information or purposefully be seen while plotting her murder. We don’t have much insight on her rooming situation but Diana’s comments imply Eva was often absent from their room. Eva tends to lurk in the boiler room alone, specifically because nobody wants to go down there. She has no interest in her classmates and doesn’t trust any of them, and only takes interest in them when she needs them. Now this could just be a difference of strategy (Eva wanting to gain trust when the time was right, and Damon wanting to gain trust in advance) but frankly, it didn’t work. Damon spent more time cooperating with the class, and yet in the trial they hesitate to believe him over Eva based on his character. The only reason they choose to believe him is because they take a moment to reassess everything Damon has been saying, and draw a logical conclusion. Damon has still gained no real trust from their group, so what was the point of everything he’s done if it amounted to nothing?

Damon, whose situation is extremely close to Eva’s, is willing to share his living space with another person, to the point he shares the bed with them (his idea btw), not even swapping the bed every night. Eva feels more safe alone with her own mind and intelligence, but Damon has always reached out to other people for security. After Tozu threatened him, Damon went to Kai despite his belief Kai might kill him. When Wolfgang turned the group against him, Damon automatically latched onto the one other outcast, Eva without even realizing it. He’d already latched onto her from the moment they awoke in the boiler room together.

I definitely missed some stuff, like how Damon was the only one willing to grab Kai’s ring in the FTE- just say no if you don’t want to do it Damon. It’s going to be important to remember how kind he is in these earlier chapters since that kindness and trust he employed has now been thrown back in his own face and spit on (thanks Eva), so I’m not sure we’re ever going to see Damon be this unintentionally kind again.

Can we talk about how pantheon weaves the exploration of grief into every aspect of its story!!!!!! Specifically, the show captures the complex nurture of grief by highlighting the different stages of grief through its individual character and how they progress throughout the story

First, you have Ellen, who represents denial. She lost her husband, David, and somewhat forces acceptance upon herself and her daughter. Even though the story picks up after David’s death, we see Ellen’s journey through grief when David comes back. Ellen’s acceptance of her loss is juxtaposed with denial. When her husband comes back, she’s confused and hurt. She doesn’t want to accept he’s back because, well how could she? She’s lived two long painful years without him. She’s gone through so much, having to accept that he’s gone just for hime to come back. She’s terrified with the pain that comes along side embracing him. If she accepts him as alive again, she also has to accept the possibility of losing him again. She has to learn to accept the pain that accompanies love. Even though she eventually accepts David, her denial to his resurrection is still highlighted earlier on in the show.

There’s also Chanda. He is a not so subtle representation of the anger associated with grief. He literally burns a building and kills a family because he was blinded by his grief. He was grieving his life, and how he would never live as he once did. All of his actions are propelled by his anger over the loss of his life. He is desperately trying to achieve what he never got the chance to while he was human. He’s trying to create the world he never got to live in. He can’t accept the way things are because he’s still stuck in his anger over his loss.

Next, there’s Cody. He represents bargaining. He can’t accept the loss of his wife, so he does anything minimize and postpone his sadness. He doesn’t question or deny Laurie when she comes back like Ellen did with David. Rather he accepts her without a second thought. His actions aren’t solely propelled by love, but rather his avoidance to pain. Even before he knew Laurie’s upload was successful, he didn’t accept that she was gone. He still felt that she was alive and the same as she had been. When she came back, he did anything for Laurie because he didn’t want to lose her or accept that things had changed. He did everything in his power to keep things the same and try to live as he did before. When Laurie is prepared to die to spread her message to the world, he doesn’t accept losing her again. Rather, he prepares to “reboot” her and keep thing the way the are, even though they’re not.

Next there’s Capsian, who represents depression. Now the thing he’s mourning is a bit different from the other characters in this analysis. He isn’t mourning the physical death of someone, but rather the death of his innocence. He found out he was a clone and that his entire life was a lie. Everything he thought he knew wasn’t real, and that’s terrifying. While he goes through the other stages of grief, the show draws attention to the depression part of grief through Caspain. He quickly recognizes the true extent of his loss but still struggles to accept and cope with it. Thus, he is easily manipulated by Pope and throws himself into curing the flaw because to him it’s a way to avoid the looming hopelessness of his situation. He’s lost interest and passion for the things he once cared about, and focuses on what he feels he has to do. He feels hopeless, and desperately trying to cure the flaw is his way of trying to reclaim agency. If he solves the problem, he regains some control over the hopelessness he feels.

Finally, there Maddie, who represents the complex journey to acceptance. Throughout the show, she experiences all the stages of grief. The show focuses on her journey to accepting the loss of her father and the life she once had. We watch her go through the stages of grief at her own pace and eventually come to terms with her loss. We watch her grow into the person that can eventually let her father pass. We watch her move forward despite her loss. She still is in unimaginable pain because of the death of her father, but she still keeps moving.

While all of the characters experience all the stages of grief, it feels like the show focuses on specific stages with specific characters. Pantheon displays how grief is complicated and messy, and not just some straight line. It highlights non-linear growth and how character progress and regress throughout their respective journeys with grief. It shows how grief isn’t something that it easily overcome, but rather a long and exhausting process. It shows through its main cast how each stage of grief is its own journey and hurtle to overcome. Pantheon demonstrates that even after you accept loss fully, it doesn’t take away from the immense pain loss causes you to feel. All you can do is keep moving forward.

I can see why Ruin loves Rusty so much. Before he knew who Charlie was, he was calling her sweetheart and comforting her over the idea of his own death

All Rusty wanted was to hold Ruin just one last time, but now seeing how his body is abusing him and how his reappearance has been torturing him, he just wishes he had died like Ruin thought

Rusty knows if Ruin knew he was still conscious in there, he would just torture himself over him even more. Maybe even push back harder on the idea of killing him. So he can’t even give him a final message

Rusty’s been ready to go for a long time, he’s just sorry it had to be because he was hurting more people including Ruin all over again and that it has to be down to someone who just wants everyone to be happy

God, I’m gonna strangle Davis for hinting at this juicy angst for months only to give them an even worse ending than before

Why Blitzø Likes Stolas

I've made jokes about Blitzø liking Stolas bcuz his type is tall, rich, powerful demons with musical talent, and that's probably kinda true, but I wanna talk about the real reasons Blitzø likes Stolas. Tldr at the end.

I think one of the major reasons Blitzø likes Stolas is how kind, sincere, and affectionate he is. Stolas is always making sure he is okay and is very passionate about litterally everything he does (dramatic little bitch, lol). And while he's ignorant ("my impish little plaything"???), he does mean well. Taking Octavia to Looloo Land to make her feel better, Going full demon mode to save IMP, his attentiveness to Blitzø during his mental breakdown in Seeing Stars, him absolutely adoring Octavia, him helping Ozzie when he gained no real benefit, etc, etc.

Also, expanding more on the affectionate part, Blitzø is shown to not get much affection or love in his life at all. His family situation was a giant mess (his dad literally sold him for 5 bucks and a condom Jesus Christ-), and Stolas is a very loving and affectionate person. Obviously, this is shown with Blitzø, but also with Octavia ('my precious little starfire', always staying patient with Via, even if he can be a bit dismissive, going full demon mode when Blitzø said he lost Via), and even his plants (he raised the flesh-eating plant since he was a kid, he pets the plant, on his insta he called a puprle rose "a handsome little rose"). And yeah, he's going to be affectione with Via, that's his daughter, but in Hell, (or maybe just from Blitzø's perspective, it'a hard to tell honestly) that's shown to be a rarity. So obviously, he's going to admire that about him.

And also, compare that to Blitzø's life. His dad saw him as less than, something happened that made his sister hate him, his mom seemed to be a good parent, but she's dead, his best friend and former crush hated his guts for 15 years, his daughter does care about him but she also mostly just shows anger and annoyance with him, and even Moxxie, who'd I'd argue is his best friend, gets annoyed with him constantly (I would too tbh but this isn't about that). Stolas just being his loving and affectionate self and being so happy to see him and always being so sweet to Blitzø is like a breath of fresh air to him.

Another thing is that Stolas shows clear interest in the things he likes. Take horses as example, bcuz we all know Blitzø is obsessed with them. Most of the time, his friends are pretty passive about it, but Stolas actually indulges him. Some of this is from their instas, but Stolas got him a horse Hoodie, he draws horses with him, and Stolas even got inspired to draw because of Blitzø.

(Also, plz note that in another post he commented that it smells like Stolas, and I want everyone to appreciate how happy he looks in this photo while smelling it again)

Blitzø probably admires Stolas's theatrics as well because despite growing up in a Circus where you were supposed to be dramatic and showy, he was still always taught to ignore or hide his true emotions (Cash ignoring that he didn't want to go to the Goetia Palace because "MONEY"). And while Stolas was raised the same way, he still wears his heart and emotions on his sleeve and is always showing them, whether it be positive or negative

And we all know thst Blitzø has major self hatred issues, but Stolas was genuinely interested in Blitzø as a person. Laughing at his jokes, asking how his day went, and with all of this, you can't help but wonder if Blitzø was figuring out that he did too. I think that's why he was so heartbroken about Ozzie's. Because to him, Stolas hiding his face was just proof that Stolas didn't care. That he was just a little plaything. But, Blitzø liked that Stolas liked him for who he was, and that he didn't have to pretend to be someone different.

Yes, ik Blitzø wasn't here for some of them, and he thinks that Stolas is just faking all of this. BUT, Blitzø can notice things subconsciously, and the stuff that Blitzø wasn't there for was to talk about Stolas's character as well. That's why I wanted to talk about this, to talk about what Blitzø sees in Stolas and his character.

Tldr; Blitzø likes Stolas because he's kind, sincere, loving, affectionate, passionate, caring, dramatic, and likes Blitzø for who he is.

Can we please talk about the significance of Agatha being “The Wicked Witch of the West”?

At surface level, it seems appropriate, the wicked witch is this evil, child kidnapping, green skinned, tyrannical witch. She’s what comes to mind when asked to picture a “witch”. Who better to portray her than the infamous Agatha Harkness? But The Wicked Witch is also Elphaba, in the book and Broadway musical, “Wicked”. The Wicked Witch/ Elphaba is a misunderstood girl who was given the claim of evil by others. She is told to be this evil villain who people should fear because of the things she did, but the intentions of these evil acts were misunderstood, as she was just trying to help. Everyone created these rumors of wickedness, and the rumors spread and eventually she became known as The Wicked Witch of the West. The overarching question in the musical: “Are we born wicked, or is wickedness thrust upon is?” is in tune/contradiction with Agatha’s mothers line: “You were born evil, I should have killed you the moment you left my body”. Agatha being Elphaba/The Wicked Witch raises so many questions about intent and Agatha’s past.

The Stages of Choi Han

So I decided to think over and analyze the progress of the relationship between Cale and Choi Han.

While we do occasionally get some Choi Han's POV, most of the story is still from either Cale's or general point of view, so we don't see his exact step-by-step thought process on what his views were regarding Cale.

So, here's my thoughts on what was going on inside Choi Han's head as the story went:

Stage 1: Confusion

Choi Han must have been pretty confused when he first met Cale. Still in major turmoil after the Harris Village massacre, here comes this drunk rich guy along, who offers him food and shelter for the night. Why? Random act of kindness? Something else? And things remain confusing the next day as well. Choi Han gets to wash up and rest a bit after his traumatic experience, giving him better clarity of thought, but definitely no better understanding of Cale, who apparently doesn't even want Choi Han to pay him back. Not to mention this creepy strong assassin butler he has and his son the chef... I picture Choi Han having three big bold question marks in his head at this point.

Stage 2: Respect

Things change after the interview. While Cale and the people surrounding him are confusing, the way he speaks to Choi Han make two things clear: one, Cale is a smart man. Two, Cale has a lot going on, but it doesn't seem to be anything sinister. The general vibe Cale is giving off at this moment is "possibly sketchy, yet mysterious and wise". He strikes right into the core of Choi Han's insecurity and helps him gather his resolve: he wants to avenge Harris Village, but he also wishes to protect. At this point, Choi Han switches from confusion to intrigue.

Stage 3: Loyalty

Cale has no idea when it happens, but it is clear: after they rescue Raon, Choi Han is definitely having thoughts about staying with Cale for good. Not only did Cale prove to him that he was a good person by helping a young creature escape a terrible fate for seemingly no reason... Cale also showcased just how thoughtful and competent he is. He is not only smart and knowledgeable, he is also a skilled leader. Even if Choi Han still has any left-over doubts, his question of "what will you do if the Dragon decides to follow you, Cale-nim?" makes it apparent; he's 100% talking about himself. At this point, he'd definitely be willing to follow Cale on a permanent basis as his knight.

Stage 4: Trust

So Choi Han already respects Cale, and has begun cultivating loyalty towards him during the trip to the capital. After they part ways, Choi Han follows Cale's instructions about finding Rosalyn and Lock. During this time unexpected issues arise, but Cale's information remained consistently useful and accurate. Choi Han also meets the "Secret Organization" again, confirming that following path set by Cale allowed him to find out more about Arm than he could manage by himself. He quickly grows attached to Rosalyn and Lock, faster than in "The Birth of a Hero", because through Cale's endorsement he isn't nearly as distrusting. And when Lock seems sick, Choi Han's first instinct is to go straight to Cale for help. And that trust gets rewarded. Then it becomes reinforced once again by the Vow of Death. Cale got upgraded from "sketchy but wise" to "definitely a good person with a lot of secrets".

Stage 5: Protectiveness

Choi Han was definitely protective before, but it got cranked up to 11 after the Plaza Terror Incident. Cale reinforces all previous impressions of respect, loyalty and trust through handling the attack almost flawlessly - except at the very end, Cale gets hurt for the very first time. Choi Han is furious. He threatens the guards to let him pass, showing how his number one priority is officially, Cale himself. His quest to avenge Harris Village still matters, of course, but Cale already swore an oath that he would help Choi Han with it (at least that's what Choi Han believes), so that's a non-issue. From now on, Choi Han's first, second and third priority is keeping Cale safe.

Stage 6: Familiarity

After the plaza, Choi Han heads off with Rosalyn and Lock to the Breck Kingdom. But while the bonds of friendship grow stronger between them, Choi Han still has every intention of returning straight to Cale after they're done. Cale isn't just a priority; he's home, the place Choi Han feels safest at. The way Cale treats him when the trio comes back proves to Choi Han that the feeling was not unfounded; in his absence, Cale helped rebuild Harris and made it home for Lock's siblings. As the next few months of "general relaxation" pass, Choi Han only settles more in his conviction. Everything he has now is thanks to Cale, who is a good person, trustworthy leader, and a good friend overall. Choi Han's feelings are no longer distant respect of an employee, and now he sees Cale as his new family.

Stage 7: Conviction

This stage is a little tricky. While Choi Han's feeling don't quite change through the next 2 years, they definitely grow in strength and intensity. Multiple instances of Cale getting hurt, as well as Choi Han witnessing the true extent of his recklessness, make him devote himself entirely to Cale and his cause. While fighting Clopeh, Choi Han expresses his determination to "create path for the real legend". Because Cale isn't just family: Cale is special. He is someone worthy of highest admiration in Choi Han's eyes. It's not fanatical obsession, not like Clopeh's later on, but something deep and profound that grows stronger with every single battle. The ultimate proof of it is Choi Han changing his attribute while Cale watches from the sidelines. Choi Han's goal itself now, is Cale's success. That is his conviction.

Stage 8: Understanding

Choi Han finally finds out the truth about Cale's transmigration thanks to the memories from Choi Jung Soo, sent by the God of Death. And while none of it fundamentally changes what Choi Han believes about Cale... it does give him a bit of a broader perspective on who Cale really is. Before, there was a lot of mystery regarding the extent of his knowledge, but Choi Han was fine with being kept in the dark. Now, enlightened about some of the mysteries surrounding Cale... Choi Han's conviction to help Cale succeed becomes stronger. Cale isn't just a person he chose to follow; they're actually countrymen, connected by his nephew. It deepens the bond they have, and from then on, Choi Han feels less like a follower of Cale, and more of a peer. They're truly friends, going on this journey side by side.

So there you go. The 8 stages of Choi Han's friendship with Cale.

I really love how their relationship plays out. Cale has many great relationships in the series, but there's something truly special about these two. No matter their differences or misunderstandings, they can relate to each other like no one else can. The mutual care and respect they have for one another is heartwarming. After all they lost, now they have someone who they can trust with their back. A real ride-or-die type of deal.

Eternal Sugar seems to parallel Eve from the bible. In a world where Sugar Swan is god the garden that Eternal Sugar seems to rule a garden that awfully resembles the Dessert Paradise.

Eternal Sugar rules and lives in a garden that is two faced like its ruler since in the trailer she warns Hollyberry Cookie to leave before a demon awakens.

She also has multiple wing imagery much like sugar swan.

Eternal Sugar has a snake and pear motif which if you don't know pears are related to apples very closely in the same family. With her power is to seduce it mirrors how Eve was manipulated by the snake and then seduced Adam to take a bite of the Apple of Knowledge.

In my opinion Eternal Sugar is an Eve who went to create her own garden after she was kicked from the garden of eden who acts like an angel but also has her own demons. The snake imagery could give some credibility to the theory Shadow Milk was the first to corrupt and he made the others follow suit with his main animal association being a snake. She also has elements of Aphrodite being dressed in loose flowing robes similar to depictions of outfits worn in ancient greece and one of her cookies resembling eros in appearance even with a bow.

Some interesting food for thought as the update looms.

Wait wait wait listen, I am totally NOT overanalyzing this, but ORDER OF THE SPARROW AND PARENTS DAY PARARELL EACH OTHER Max has to do something he doesn't want to do (Has to live through David doing Order Of the Sparrow, and has to participate through Parent's Day despite his parents not even showing up, so David and Gwen act like his parents)

Max and David have a lot of friction and tension during it (Max is ruder than usual in Order Of the Sparrow since he dislikes the tradition, and Max misbehaves more than usual in Parent's Day probably out of jealousy since his parents never came)

One snaps at the other (Max snaps at David in Order of the Sparrow, and David snaps at Max in Parent's Day, although one was A LOT less harsh than the other)

Then they have a moment of understanding of why the other is the way they are (Order of the Sparrow "Somebody fucking has to" Parent's Day, David finding out just how emotionally negligent Max's parents are)

Then the other person makes up for snapping at them by doing something nice (Max sets up the bonfire in Order of the Sparrow, David takes Max to a pizza shop so Max doesn't have to pretend to be happy in Parent's Day)

David and Max grow closer (Parent's Day even intentionally parallels Order of the Sparrow with a silent moment of David and Max across from each other when they understand each other)

See? SEE!? They both are understanding each other better! David IS going to adopt Max and- Hey, HEY! WHY ARE YOU RUNNING AWAY!? *Chases u cutely and not in a threatening way that makes you scared for your life AT ALL* GET BACK HERE AND LET ME RANT ABOUT CAMP CAMP TO YOU!

I like the parallel of both Izuku and Ochaco being each other's heroes, like when Izuku was undergoing his vigilante arc and was brought back to UA, Ochaco's declaration of how everyone is fighting an unseen battle beyond the public, asking those to truly see Izuku, and seeing themselves in each other, and her quote "True heroism lies not in the victory and glory, but in standing side by side with one another". A call to arms and a plea for understanding and patience, in that scene she's really laying it down, and when someone asks her if she expects them to get down in the mud she responds with "The heroes are the ones getting dirty!" not dismissing the civilian's willingness to help and whatnot but for them to understand Midoriya's situation. But, in the show, Ochako sees Izuku as a good role model for heroism, inspiring her to focus on her career path and help others in need, Izuku.

And on Izuku's part when Ochako finally broke down from bottling up her emotions while trying to process Toga's death, as she finally expressed her grief and guilt by not doing enough to try and save Toga, Izuku is there listening, offering emotional comfort and understanding, helping her process the complex feelings surrounding Toga's sacrifice. Izuku is there listening, validating her emotions, and providing a shoulder to lean on while grieving. Also, with him saying "You're my hero too, Ochako !" expressing to her that she inspires him and acts as a positive role model, like he does with Allmight, with her kindness, support, and belief in him when in times he even doubted himself. Idk if I'm making sense but I'm rambling but they mean so much to me ommfshsdhhfcgsuydghf

This scene right here got me good.

I loved that they focused on Blitz having a platonic relationship with someone (Millie) and realising he doesn’t have to resort to sex to get someone to like him!

In a wider context, I love how Blitz held Millie’s hand for comfort and leant on her shoulder, again, in just a platonic way.

It’s so hard in society to show care towards someone (especially of the opposite sex) without it coming across as you leading them on.

I actually had a male friend who decided they no longer wanted to be my friend because their parents thought it was weird that we were of the opposite sex?! Like why would a girl want to hang out with a guy and just…that be it?

An explanation of what Levi’s gesture towards Hange Really meant, and how Isayama parallels other AOT media, (ex: smartpass stories and ACWNR), to his manga. 📚🦋🪲

Similar to Nile, Levi does an “unthinkable” move of publicly dedicating His and Hange’s heart’s together. He purposely does it wrong by putting His Left Fist (ring finger 💍) on Hange’s heart and says the famous scout motto, which was the first time he’s “ever said that.” Because Levi and Hange both 'proposed', Levi's gesture towards Hange seals their relationship. (Marriage):

One of her main goals was to understand the “enemy”, live with and show them that they aren’t the vicious “devils” they fear them to be. Levi watches the plane (Hange) that flys above them. As he faces his right side, his blind eye is opened and in view, so his other half (Hange) can watch the world through. Levi is living half for himself and half for Hange. Double symbolism. 🔀🧬🪢💞😎

The offical art when it comes to Ed and Wrath are few and far between. However, there's some things I've noticed and would like to share!

Wrath, as a human, would have blue eyes - while this is something we pretty much already knew just by watching eps 28 through 30, if you look at Ed's eye color then you'll realize that they're very close to being inverses of each other!

Also Wrath is cool colors (Blues and greens, blacks and purples) whereas Ed is warm colors (Yellows and reds, whites and oranges). I think that's another contrast or inverse between them to show who they are as characters - with Wrath being a homunculus he is colder colors like the tones of a dead body or just generally not something alive, while Ed has warmer colors like a living human would.

There's more differences between them! Wrath's iris shape is (in the picture and originally) more circular than Ed's - who's is more ovular. Wrath also has slightly larger eyes than Ed, giving him a bit of more childlike appearance though his facial shape keeps him appearing as though he is of similar age to Ed. (I remember reading somewhere once, and please correct me if I am wrong but I personally believe this greatly, that Wrath was made with the goal kept in mind that he'd be an opponent to Ed of similar age and similar in other ways as well.) Wrath also has sharp teeth whilst Ed has dull flat ones - oddly enough Wrath's ears are pointed slightly and Ed's ears are rounded, furthermore giving the visual feel that Wrath isn't human. He must appear rather uncanny to Edward or to any human - same with the homunculi in general - because he looks human but with subtle things that make him... Off.

Wrath is all smilely too, whereas Ed looks more serious or weary; Showing off Wrath's inital innocence (which stays there throughout the series until he was betrayed by Dante and Envy, and I will fight anyone on that) and Ed's lingering distrust for Wrath. Fun fact, in CoS he seems to trust Wrath more even though the two never see each other again. Oh, they're gonna be the end of me. ED FUCKING ACTED LIKE HE KNEW WHAT WRATH WOULD WANT, which leads me to believe they had a talk or just SOMETHING during ep 51 that was cut out.

Anyway, Wrath:) He's poking out from behind Ed, and there's more things to point out between them!

Wrath is wearing dark clothes whereas Ed's wearing light ones. Like usual, Wrath's hair is down and messy while Ed's is up and neat. This is the offical art that made me realize that Ed has longer, thinner eyebrows than Wrath - who has thicker ones!

Also Wrath seems to be staring directly at Ed, but I personally can't read his expression as anything? Maybe curiosity? I'm not good with reading facial expressions lmao.

I only added this one bc WRATH LOOKS SO SILLY WHO THE FUCK PUT HIM IN A LIL SUIT??? HOW THE FUCK DID SOMEONE PUT HIM IN A SUIT???

Anyway so Wrath and Edward are standing back to back. They have a slight height difference with Wrath as the shorter of the two (I bet Ed is very happy/j)

Ed's expression is more angry or solem while Wrath's is a grin - but both can be said to look angry I'd think.

They both have a hand on their hip (Ed's in his pocket but Wrath doesn't have pockets, L) and the opposite arm resting more languidly at their side. They're both standing straight, Ed's head is tilted slightly downward while Wrath's is tilted up - no one else is shown standing back to back. Only Wrath any Ed. Al is there, standing beside Ed, but Gluttony is standing with his side to Alphonse, and Lust is more off to the side and facing the others rather than with her back to anyone. I think it is to further show that Ed and Wrath are such parallels (and Lust is standing a little to the side, possibly showing how she isn't really obeying anyone but herself - showing how she betrayed Dante and went to help Ed get Al back in exchange for becoming human again; But we know how that played out..)

I'm not really gonna talk about these here, as one of them is simply a scene redraw, and they're more Izumi focused if you look at them - with Izumi appearing somber while Ed looks weary or even fearful, and Wrath is just.. Being a kid. Running and flipping, and then in the redraw fighting Ed and Al.

The same could be said about these!! They aren't really interacting - in the first image Wrath is asleep at a table with the other homunculi, and in the second he does appear to be staring at Ed; But again Ed isn't focused on him.

Probably some of the ONLY FUCKING COS OFFICAL ART I HAVE FOUND with Wrath in it. Wrath and Ed are facing opposite of each other. No one, other than Wrath in the image, is fully facing at a side profile - which at first I thought represented how he had died, but Alfons is there and so is Eckhart.

Ed looks wistful, not angry but not happy. Sad perhaps, which is what he seems to be a lot in CoS. But Wrath, he looks down right angry. Yelling maybe? His mouth is opened wide and showing his sharp teeth, his visable eyebrow furrowed, he looks dirty and tired. Clearly this is during his fight with Gluttony, or. OR, this is just showing what Edward last remembers of Wrath. An angry boy always yelling and violent, but also determined and weak - and this fucks me up because out of EVERYONE in the image, only Wrath is the one Ed never sees again. Except like.. Riza but this aint about her. I love that they're seperated by the margin, representing the Gate kinda - Armestrian characters on one side, 'our world' characters on the other.

Again, this isn't really Ed and Wrath in particular. But I want you all to really look at Wrath. He's licking his Ed arm. In a similar fashion Dante does to Lyra's arm after possessing her body, and basically asking Hoenhiem to.. Yk, fuck. While I definitely don't think Wrath is doing it out of sexual desire or reason (although i do not know his intention), I do believe he's doing it to mimick or copy Dante. Wrath could've seen that she liked Hoenhiem, which is putting it lightly but for the sake of the sake I'll just say she liked him, and then copied her by licking said limb out of liking Ed or desiring his body/limbs. To become human.

Also jfc Envy is buff, go back to being a twink you loser.

Steal Your Heart: Analyzed 💘

THE BEST SONG IN THE A&A UNIVERSE.

— Tunes & Trials (S2 EP19) is one of my favourite episodes of the show and for good reasons and one of them being this song!

[Context: Austin & Ally have decided to remain just friends as they both aren't ready for pursuing a romantic relationship with each other. In this episode, Ally encourages Austin to write a song by himself again (after his failure in doing so in S2 EP16) and gives him the "write about the things you like or the people you care about!" advice which leads him to write his first ever song called 'Steal Your Heart'. The entire episode spins around the fact of trying to find out who the song is about because of the lyrics being so detailed and specific. Trish is immediately interested and wants to know who the song is about. Austin spends the entire episode avoiding/refusing to answer that question until FINALLY he confesses that he wrote it about Ally.]

NOW LET'S INTO THE LYRICS, SHALL WE?

"You like the good boys so; I'm not invited to the plans you make when you're with your friends, but you know bad boys…you can't deny it. They can always show you where the fun begins"

We all know how Ally is a "good girl". She's the most responsible and mature one in the group. She doesn't like breaking rules, lying etc. It's cute to think that Austin refers to himself as a "bad boy" cause he is totally NOT lolol he gives of "golden retriever" energy more than anything, but I digress lol. I think it's kind of nice to see how Austin helps Ally get a little loose and easy-going as the show progresses and Ally helps Austin to be more detail-oriented, focused and serious through the seasons.

He's telling her about how he's kinda jealous that she likes the "good boy" types of guys (AUSTIN IF YOU ONLY KNEW YOU ARE A GOOD BOY TYPE) but she can't deny him when he comes into the picture.

"Hey! now baby…No doubt about it, girl. You drive me crazy. I'm pleading guilty to the way you make me wanna steal your heart, steal your heart!"

He's been trying to keep his feelings in check but she's not making it easy for him (lmao) so he's finally pleading GUILTY to the fact that she's driving him crazy and the way he can't get her out of his head. All this makes him want to steal her heart i.e. make her fall for him!!!

"Call me criminal! I won't deny! you make me want it all, everything you are so lock it up, go on and try it no matter what you do, I'm gonna steal your heart!"

Now that he's confessed, he wants to steal her heart, he's all in. So, she can call him a criminal and he won't even deny his intentions because he wants her heart. (god they're so cheesy I love them)

"I confess I kinda like it that you're innocent keeping up your guard. I'll break it down, so you can't hide it no matter what you do, I'm gonna steal your heart"

— NOT HIM CONFESSING HE LIKES HER QUIRKS AND SHY PERSONALITY FOR HER and finds it cute. (Austin is so down bad for her omg)

"Keeping up your guard, I'll break it down" Ally has these guards up and doesn't allow just anyone though and Austin knows this and wants to be the one and only to break them down and actually get to know her likes, dislikes, her dreams etc.

"You're a good girl ; the perfect picture of an angel's smile from a magazine but it's a new world and I know so well the side of you no one's ever seen"

These lines remind me of the things he said midst of realizing he has feelings for Ally; "I like her smile and the way she laughs."

The line "I know so well the side of you no one's ever seen" continues on the line from the previous stanza meaning he did break down the guards she was putting up and became close to her i.e. being friends & partners with her.

That line could also be referring to how he's the only one who gets to witness her musical talent...

["Listen, Ally it doesn't matter if the world doesn't know how talented you are... I always will!"]

"You're gonna keep it (keep it). Just like a secret (secret). Baby, believe me you gotta free it and you'll have everything you need"

He's saying she should not keep her talent as a secret that he just knows/gets to witness. He wants her to show what she can do to the world. He wants her to be confident and start performing again because it will make everyone do a double take.

The entirety of the song "double take" is about him saying she just needs to loosen up & perform with confidence and everyone would NOT be able to look away from her.

"They wanna know your name. They want the girl with game and when they look your way, you're gonna make'em do a double take!" // "C'mon and take a chance, make a stand and break down the walls." // "I wish you knew just what you got and don't be scared to show me something real."

[Austin, is it true? You wrote it about me? Yeah, it's true. I should have told you earlier, but I couldn't. You told me to write about someone I care about and that's you. Do you still have feelings for me? No. Yes. I don't know. All I know is I love being friends with you. And I don't want to ruin that. That's why I couldn't say it was about you. I get it. I'm happy we're still just friends, but I kind of hoped it was about me.]

In conclusion, Austin writing this song basically confirms to us that he still has feelings for her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In this episode whenever he is asked about who the song is for, he always sneaks a glance at Ally before answering.

"If you come clean and tell the court who the song is about maybe we can convince the judge you didn't steal it!"

The way he was planning a surprise party for Ally and wanted to get her favourite band to play for it. He didn't want the surprise to be ruined so kept telling Kira not to tell the truth at. all. costs. LOOK AT HIS FACE WHEN ALLY FIND OUT HES LIKE "damn it. didn't get a chance to surprise my girl."

The whistle necklace he wears here is what he was wearing when he first met Ally and also when he kissed her for the first time.

Eclipse has grown so much. He is becoming a better person and has come a long way from the (lack of better description) psychopath he used to be

Notice how he didn’t seem upset that Andy accused him of keeping them trapped, only surprise and maybe even hurt. He only raised his voice when Andy hit Jake. And it didn’t even sound like classic Eclipse rage, it was actual parental upset

Andy seemed pretty intimidated since Eclipse has never yelled at them, especially not like that. And honestly he probably needed to be because I doubt he would’ve listened otherwise with how he was acting

The fact that Eclipse was using his experiences, his trauma, from being stuck in Sun’s head and neither him or Moon listening to him to relate to Andy is extremely brave and mature of him. He didn’t even go too deep into it because Andy’s just a kid, just told him he went through something similar and he can’t go around hurting people just for not doing what he wants

I’m glad Andy and Jake made up, but I really hope he apologizes for blaming Eclipse and then trying to just up and leave before they get their bodies
