Been thinking more about this scene because like..

It's clearly an "Oh" moment

But how tf am I supposed to believe that Crowley, who we all know has been feeling love for Aziraphale since the garden of Eden And has spent thousands of years living amongst humans, engaging in their customs, watching their movies, listening to their music never identified "oh! this feeling is kind of similar to human love"

But like... it would be so Crowley to just think it was a singular experience. To just be so swept up in the enormity of his emotions, and to believe he is the only being that's ever felt this way. Why would he ever think to link it to it to humanity? it probably feels much bigger than that, humans could never understand. and if this feeling truly started on the wall in Eden, he wouldn't have had the human context to frame it with yet anyway It's not until Nina reframes it for him that he's like "oh, shit"

look I sort of get where Furfur is coming from because it’s an actual crime that he never got to do temptations in medieval/renaissance Europe when the humans were really into fairy stories

dude’s animal form is a stag, he’s excellent at writing contracts, and he’s the absolute spitting image of William fucking Shakespeare. they would have lost their minds over him back then he would have been tempting kings

Still stuck here. So let me make yet another post about that scene

Crowley is always so loud, so full of energy, so "present". But this is the first we saw of him after Nina asked him: "Have you been together long?". He seems kinda... resigned? Nina forced him to face his one feelings and we all know it was a key moment for Crowley. And we all talk about Maggie saying: "You need to talk" is what makes him to confess his feelings. But honestly? I think he already knew earlier that he has to confess his feelings eventually. This is why he told Muriel:

This was BEFORE Maggie said: "You never really talk."

This is also why he seems to taken back during the french café scene. He already entered the stage of depression and accaptance at the same time. He accepts that he loves an angel but he is also depressed because he has no clue how to tell Azi who is so busy with other stuff... who is so pure (in Crowleys eyes).

And so Crowley sits in this café, and sends so much mixed signals. On the one hand everything about this scene feels like a romantic date: the red rose, the red wine, the little stars. On the other hand he is silent, isn't moving much, has a certain aura of sadness around him and has already started drinking on his own.

Because Nina was the first human being to look through his carefully build mask of sass and coolness. "Have you been together long"? shatters all his walls, and he knows he has to do something, but doesn't even know if Azi loves him as well... him, a fallen angel, and so he drinks wine on his own. Until he sees his angel and can not control himself and ask: "Do you want a glass?" Because he doesn't know what to do, but he knows he wants this angel in his life and he is not gonna go down without a fight. Hello season 3

I wonder how this miracle works. Does it work on everyone Aziraphale wishes it on, including Crowley and himself?

And can Crowley, unlike the others, stop dancing if he wanted to? If so, it's so cute that he wants to make the angel happy even though he knows demons are coming. ❤️

Crowley has something no other demons have, especially not Hastur: an imagination. Right now, he is imagining that he is just fine, and that a ton of burning metal, rubber, and leather is a fully functioning car. He had started the journey in his Bentley, and he was damned if he wasn’t going to finish it in the Bentley as well.
