there's just so much to dissect with "the precious peaceful fragile existence i carved out for myself" "i thought we carved out for ourselves" "SO DID I!"

crowley has always felt so alone since the start of time because remember how he wasn't even close with the other fallen angels; he just happened to be around them at the time. he really tried, failed at some things, and succeeded at others to finally make a place and identity for himself in this world.

and sure, then he also suggested to aziraphale that they should team up and have each other's backs. unfortunately, crowley is just so not used to love that even now, he cannot let his friend know he is living out of his car, and ask for help. he cannot fathom that his angel could love him unconditionally, and he still believes he is alone at the end of it all.

then we have aziraphale, who realised during armageddon that crowley would always be there for him. he will always be crowley's number one priority. he always thought it would be them against the universe and the higher powers. so to hear that crowley is only thinking about himself would have stung.

and crowley's final blow once again calling back to their season 1 fight about how there's no heaven or hell, no right or wrong, there's just them. for 6000 years, it's just been aziraphale and crowley, together, helping each other when needed the most. and if aziraphale cannot protect himself from gabriel then what does it matter if crowley defends him or not.

I love that, from what we've seen so far, Crowley's whole vibe this season is that of a reluctant husband. He doesn't really want to be there, he'd rather be on his regular dates with Aziraphale, but he'd be dead before he let him get into this alone.

He's going to complain the entire time, tho.

Obsessing over the new Good Omens sneak peaks and how much is implied in these short scenes alone.

Crowley and Aziraphale are still not on the same page, and you can feel the dissatisfaction oozing off of Crowley, the disappointment that his angel still isn't there yet, that whilst he's been living in his car trying to carve out this "precious peaceful fragile existence" for them, Aziraphale is dragging them back into dangerous territory.

There was no confession, no declaration, no admittence of anything, no moving forward in their relationship. What HAPPENED after season 1? With the sarcastic "I'm back." "I can see that." From the trailer, and the "I thought we carved it out for OURselves?" "SO DID I." it almost comes across like a break up, that maybe realising he was once again going too fast, Crowley took himself away for a break, which was mistakingly taken as a break UP.

These sneak peaks have made it so clear IMO already that Crowley is READY to be WITH Aziraphale the way he's always wanted to be, but Aziraphale is still too scared to do anything about it. Poor frustrated demon. No wonder you electrocuted yourself in your rage!
