I don’t check Hulu often enough for K-Dramas because their selection is limited, but I just discovered they have Big Mouth and I’m so freaking excited because I can finally watch this show!

Huge DUH moment.

I have always had Exclude Crossovers checked because I don’t generally give a rodents behind about other fandoms colliding with the one I chose to read about.

Except!

In the Red White & Royal Blue fandom, there is the book and the movie and some people tag their works with both. Which makes it look like a crossover to an archive system.

By changing my settings to Include All Crossovers, and the excluding additional fandoms in the tags section, I just got 3,000 more fics to read.

Holy shit balls. I’m not sleeping for weeks.

Shit that’s on my mind at 3am

Remember this scene from the Simpsons?

Did it ever strike you as an odd sequence? Like yeah they’re parodying these old TV era infomercials and PSA’s, but does the sequence seem a little… intentional? Like it wasn’t just made up by the Simpsons writers?

Well the good news is A World Without Zinc is made up but it isn’t JUST a pastiche either. It was directly inspired by this real thing

This short involves a man coming to grips with a world where springs were never invented.

The first half of the springs video is bizarre enough, with Coily the Cartoon Spring standing in for his wonderful life sprite guiding him along his fictitious world without springs. Where this video gets completely unhinged is where he ambushes and bombards his golfing buddies with his new encyclopedic knowledge of what springs are and how they transfer energy and really wishes his buddies would join him in his new Spring Fandom and maybe even attend CoilCon '69 as he shows up in his custom home made SpringSuit of his Coilsona. You can practically see his friends plotting together to never invite this guy out to do anything again.

Coily may have made this guy appreciate an important invention, but he cost him his social life.

Steve tries to stay quiet while he gets ready for work, but Eddie hears him. He keeps his eyes closed and just listens- to Steve grumbling to himself when his hair doesn’t sit quite right, who starts to hum and whisper some catchy song. Eddie turns his sleepy gaze onto Steve as he shuffles around their room- watching quietly as he slips on his clothes, his shoes, a simple chain with Eddie’s ring around his neck. A warm, affectionate smile breaks across his face. Before he leaves, Steve glances at what he expects to be a sleeping Eddie, but instead, he’s met with a rasped, ‘Hey.’ Eddie sits himself up, stretches his arm across Steve’s side of the bed, and reaches, fingers wiggling. Steve crosses the room to cradle his face.

Their foreheads press, noses bump, and Steve brushes his fingers across scars and dimples.

He breathes a quiet,

‘Sorry, I didn’t mean to wake you.’

Eddie huffs a tired laugh,

‘You know I never mind.’

Because, yeah.

Every morning Steve tries to stay quiet while he gets ready for work, but Eddie always hears him.
