Background:

After 2D went about building a relationship with his illegitimate children she quickly grew attached to him and the rest of the band. They met in 2006 when she was only 3 years old and saw him every weekend and holiday until 2008. Two years had passed and both 2D and then his girlfriend started catching up on strange paterns in Mac’s behavior. He’d put his law degree to use and got full custody of McKenzie after finding out her mother was being particularly neglectful to her over her other half-siblings(on her mother’s side). 2D has raised her as best as he could alongside his girlfriend and the rest of band ever since, although he, regretfully, wasn’t always physically present and stayed on and off with his parents when band stuff came up.

His name is Matthew. 2D and the mother had a interesting time during phase 2 when Stuart was weak and horny and she took full custody of the kid and due to brain damage 2D completely forgot he had a son until Max (his nickname) at 16 decided he wanted to meet his bio dad. Now they’re besties and do stupid men shit together

The little girl is Samatha. She’s not 2Ds at all but she was a stowaway and snuck with her brother to the UK bc little sisters are like that. Average 10 year old sister experience. It’s okay tho 2D claimed her too. Her hobbies include: playing with weapons and using her freakishly tall brother as a jungle gym. Today she plays with Mlp dolls. Tomorrow she might bomb the capital. Who knows.

hehehehe last night I asked for ship kid requests to make bc I like playing with genetics and @selkiestars did not disappoint ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHIPS and this one was very difficult because Ace and Russel are kind of, like, of opposite builds Ace is very tall and skinny with long legs and Russels the opposite so it was hard to find a middle ground but I think I did ok. SHES CUTE!!! I might change the skin tone though I tried to make it like green + brown but I think it just made her look kind of dead ALSO she normally wears a big jacket (both Russel and Ace wear them in Gorillaz pretty often so I had to give her one) but I didn't put it in the main drawing bc I wanted to clearly establish her body type. I also tried to sort of combine their aesthetics but I think I ended up leaning more toward Russ than Ace and that's ok

So being back in London I got to spend some time with my step-daughter...mostly backstage and during rehearsals... but we managed to find enough free time and we all went to see Coco.
