How did you feel about Damon ending up human in TVD? I know many people said it was OOC or regression because he wanted to do it for Elena, but I thought it was a good full circle for his character regardless of ships. He only wanted to turn for Katherine in the first place and i he had stayed a vampire he would be alone again after everyone he loves like Alaric, Bonnie and Elena died, especially if they still killed off Stefan. So living and aging with them was his best possible endgame imho.

I thought it was perfect lmao like he never wanted to be a vampire in the first place and he turned for love and it was just fitting he’d stop being one for love and as a staunch damon/happiness shipper I was delighted he got it like.... fuck everything else he deserved to be happy he got it I couldn’t have asked for anything more

Jaime Lannister, a man who cast aside oaths and killed his king when he was SEVENTEEN YEARS OLD, to save half a million innocent people (and the rest if Aerys had his way) and then lived with the shame of being called a Kingslayer behind his back and to his face, not able to tell the truth because nobody trusted him to listen to him. He stopped men from raping Brienne when they were held captive (something he desperately wanted to do when Aerys was raping his wife and he had to stand by and do nothing) and lost his sword hand because of it. He was half way home to Kings Landing but turned back so get Brienne, who was trapped in a bear pit. He literally JUMPED into that bearpit, with one hand, no sword while he was half dead just to protect her. Took her to King's Landing, realised how much of a dangerous place it was for her, so gave her a horse, a squire, armour specially made for her and a valyrian steel sword and sent her on a quest to try and find and protect sansa stark (and his honour). He rode north to fight for the living, he knighted brienne and told her to protect the innocent-

sansa gave winterfell to dany because she understands there are more important things than what she wants and her pride and being in charge. they need daenerys, the dragon glass, and her army to fight the night king, everyone will die with out her and her dragons. sansa understands that, you should too.

First of all, this is not just about Sansa ~being in charge~, Winterfell is home to all the Starks. Their family as a whole should be in control of Winterfell because it is their home. The Martells control Dorne because it’s their home, the Tyrells should be in control of The Reach because it’s their home, the Arryn’s should be in charge of the Eyrie because it’s there home. Don’t reduce this to just wanting Sansa to be in charge, because it’s not.

Secondly, this “there are more important things” argument generally holds no real functional credibility with me, because it’s constantly being used in such an arbitrary manner. Why is it that the Starks must give up their home for the greater good, but D doesn’t have to give up her ambitions for the greater good? Why shouldn’t she use her dragon glass and her dragons and her army to fight the Night King just because it’s the right thing to do and because (to quote you) “she understands there are more important things than what she wants and her pride and being in charge”?? Why shouldn’t she be this willing to make this ~noble sacrifice~ in the name of morality or humility or whatever??? You don’t think D should have to give up her ambitions and claim to the throne she has been fighting for for seven seasons for the greater good. I don’t think the Starks should have to give up their ancestral home they spent seven seasons fighting for for the greater good. It’s a circular argument and we could sit here all day, but in the end it literally comes down to you wanting your fave to get what she wants and me wanting my faves to get what they want.

You want to have a real, mutually respectful conversation about compromise for the greater good of humankind? Hit me up, I’m totally down! I am in no way trying to argue that D is not important, that they don’t need her to win the BftD, or that they should throw her out on her ass. I’m not even necessarily trying to argue she won’t have any kind of position or power in Westeros. In fact, I’m not even arguing that handing over Winterfell and bending the knee wasn’t the right and necessary decision in the circumstance. I don’t think any of that at all, that’s not the conclusion I am getting at here. But for me, the inconsistent application of the above argument just doesn’t fly.

And finally, here’s the thing… You have been watching and waiting for D to get to Westeros and win the Iron Throne for seven seasons now, you are invested in her and you care about her story line and her character. Now consider for a moment, if you will, the fact that there are people who have been watching and waiting just as long as you have for the Starks to regain control of the North, just like with D it’s literally been from s1. They have been fighting the Iron Throne, the Lannisters, the Boltons, and so many others for seven seasons but now that fight is not only no longer relevant, it no longer matters and should be set aside. Not only Sansa and Jon’s efforts from the past few seasons, as well as people who helped them like Brienne and Davos, but also Robb, Cat and everyone else who died at the Red Wedding and/or fighting for the North. That drive, that desire, that fight, is no longer worth caring about. Consider if the circumstances were flipped and that someone was telling you “D’s fight is not important, it’s not worth fighting anymore.”

People care just as much about their own faves as you do about yours. People are just as invested in their own faves as you are in yours. Everyone wants their faves to get what they want, that is inherently part of having faves. Your fave has won, go bask in the glory! But not everyone is required to be as excited as you.
