“The real monsters are the greedy men we met along the way”

was the gist of a large part of our bookclub convo yesterday. We talked about how power corrupts, and the desire to defend oneself/ones position leads to greed, and the need to utilize every possible tool that presents itself to you.  This type of convo is one of the reasons I love this bookclub. We get to connect to other fans in a fandom that is super small, and we not only talk about how much we love the books, but we’re discussing overarching themes of the series as a whole, and how its a good foil for our own westernized society.  Plus there’s tons of memes and fanfic and its overall just a really good time

Graceling Realm Discord Server: Bookclub Update!

The Graceling Realm bookclub is about to launch our reading of Fire this weekend! We’ve wrapped up our conversations about Graceling and are diving into the new world of The Dells this Sunday 4/21.

Not only is our discord server the home base for the bookclub, its also a place of memes, fanfic, and fun conversation with a small group of fans. So even if you’re not up for the bookclub buit still want to join the community, come on by!

We’ve already had one bookclub meeting to discuss Part 1 of Graceling, and we’re getting together to talk about part 2 “The Twisted King” Sunday March 14th!

We have lots of memes, fun conversations about theories, themes, etc, and our first bookclub conversation was a great way to start the day.
