You saw it here first, folks: a rare Carol and the End of the World pre-vis painting that isn't actually in the show! This was an earlier version of the Kroger in episode 1, which got more attention in terms of design/paint than you might expect. The sequence in the final looks completely different: different mood, different time of day - I think it works better in the grand scheme of things! Admittedly this painting was done pretty early on, so it was no surprise direction might shift down the line - it still served as a good reference of how to paint dusk for other BGs, though! Just because something doesn't appear in the show directly doesn't necessarily mean it was a complete waste of time! Thanks for looking, and watch Carol and the End of the World on Netflix! Boycott corporations. I don’t wanna fucking hear it.

Some things sold by corporations are hard to cut out BUT NOT EVERYHING. Make and repair your clothes, buy things from local businesses, replace junk food with homemade treats, take care of your electronics rather than buying the new model every year. At the very least stop spending so much disposable income on Starbucks and Target when it’s actively hurting everyone in your life.

Bug your family to boycott. Stop spending money on candy at 7/11. Do it now. Please.
