I have a very bad relationship with medication but I have been working on trying to take painkillers

I took some without any anxiety today

and it helped, maybe? and I had...complicated feelings (what if my pain is just pain because I haven't taken painkillers and I'm making a big deal out of nothing???, god my brain needs to shut up)

and then it stopped helping after, like, 20 minutes

which is fucking stupid

if I'm going to be so sensitive to setraline that the lowest dose manageable completely numbs me out to a miserable point of unthinking, why can't I be that sensitive to some nice low dose otc painkillers and solve my problems quickly?
