Dagon's Treasure Set

Dive into the deep ocean and discover the ancient fish-god Dagon's hoard! This set was inspired by HP Lovecraft's cosmic horror stories "Dagon" and "The Shadow Over Innsmouth", which feature mysterious beings from the deeps who wear golden jewellery of an artistic style unknown to human civilisation. This necklace and hair ornament show off Iridescent Green Swarovski Crystal Pearls, which have an otherworldly colour-shifting hue that looks like green and gold at the same time. The centrepiece is individually beaded pearls that move like bubbles when worn.

This is an illustration of Madeira. Her hair by accident ended up having more darker shades of silver. I got confused on what order of shades to use. Usually by the time I get the pose, face and shading for the character right, all my energy for drawing a full on background is checked out. I still have yet to solve how to add full background shading matching the same shading approach I do with the characters I draw, without burning out.

A long day at the office is so much easier when I'm dressed properly and in my fave colour combo of pink and green.

This is me last Saturday admiring my own outfit and taking a few selfies before settling in for a long day's work.

This necklace, hair ornament, and earring set features wooden cut out tiger figures inspired by traditional Chinese art. They were a souvenir from an exhibition at the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge, UK. The big tiger has a barrette clip on the back so it can be worn in the hair. The colour scheme features bright colours contrasted with black to mirror the tiger's black and yellow coat. The two diamond shaped beadwork shapes call to mind the Tyger's burning eyes in the deep forest!

This is an illustration of Madeira where I just felt like doing a pose. I had a better grip on managing gradient color maps with this one. Overlooked the depth of Madeira's ears, lol. But I am still happy with how the shading and the hair fringe turned out in the end. With this drawing, I hit my 2023 goal of finishing 16 or 20 art projects this year.
