also silly HC that whenever Lloyd is about to do something stupid Morro possesses him to not have him do it (they argue about it a lot but morro’s just trying to keep Lloyd safe and have him focus on his responsibilities as the Green Ninja)

Headcannon: when Lloyd’s bored, he begins to share secrets of villains who he was way to emotionally attached to. This tends to include embarrassing stories that often include things about Lloyd himself. Stories which he forgot, because they can’t be THAT important. Can they?

Example A:

I got lazy at the end. I have now created lists of these so called secrets, and the villains who Lloyd has an emotional attachment to in some sort of way if often time either Pythor, Garmadon, Harumi, or Morro.

He has dirt on all of them, and he doesn’t even realise it.

The secret of the comic, if its not obvious: Pythor’s greatest enemies are lollipops. He is frightened of them after that.

Fun fact about me now: this is my first ever comic. I wanted to give up so bad.

I feel like sally would be able to sympathise with Lloyd's situation in a way that Akita couldn't in the ice half of s11

she makes cheesy, upbeat music and I feel like Lloyd would secretly be into that genre

she shows all her emotions on her sleeve, which means that lloyd wouldn't need to worry about being decieved about what she's truly feeling

plus she thinks with her emotions while lloyd thinks with his head. she could use that pragmatic viewpoint to calm her down when she's on the verge of causing another car accident, and Lloyd could use that emotional aspect to help him with Garmadon

speaking of, Lloyd has some uhhhh questionable parents, and Sally has that kind of family normalcy that he could use. I think her parents would really give him a stable support system, too.

plus Sally has had kind of a normal life in general, so she could probably give some okay advice to Lloyd. especially in regards to Harumi. I could see Sally being like "nuh-uh, I had a girlfriend just like her -- Becky -- except Becky didn't destroy the city and revive my dead, evil dad or something. But she was so toxic! Harumi sounds just like Becky, and you know what I did?? I cut her off!"

It makes me so sad to think about how Harumi was probably Lloyd’s first non-obligatory friend, and she just destroyed him.

Thinking about anyone’s Ninjago swap au concept but specifically Lloyd and Harumi swap. Harumi getting found and adopted by the ninja after being orphaned in the great devourer attack and she’s destined to be the green ninja. Lloyd ending up getting adopted by the royal family. Garmadon and Harumi having being kinda awkward around each other post s2, bc Garmadon expects Harumi to hate him because they were fated enemies but actually Harumi admires him for defeating the great devourer and by s4 they actually bonded before he died. As far as Wu and Garmadon were concerned Lloyd has been missing since his escape from school and they tried searching but couldn’t find him. Only then, in season 8 is Lloyd introduced as the Jade Prince of Ninjago, who goes out very little and has been hidden away by the royal family. He, never being reformed by the ninja, has only become more malicious and spiteful when his evil role model father firstly, stopped his own attempt to destroy Ninjago, then was defeated by Harumi and turned good, and then said Harumi becoming closer to his father than he ever was, and that his father never found him as he was essentially locked away by the royal family. Lloyd, being Oni himself, knows how to get his father, his real, evil father, back and on his side and ends up resurrecting him, revealing to Harumi only at the ritual, that he was the real son of Garmadon. Now his father is back and yet, Lloyd finds that although he mourned the day his father turned good, Lloyd has been jealous of the love and care Garmadon gave Harumi, love and care which is now devoid from the warlord now. In the end, Lloyd finds a child, alone in a falling building, searching for their parents, anyone, to find them, and Lloyd realises he needed to make sure that child was found and had a loving family to go to. Managing to find a route out the building that lead to other citizens, Lloyd urged the child to go on. But before Lloyd could follow, the rubble crashed down onto the pathway, blocking the exit and entombing Lloyd never to be seen again.

Also like movie Skylor & Chen where post defeating her dad she invites the ninja over to her house. Chens home too and theyre like what’re YOU doing here?! I live here? In this scenario it’s still secret identity stuff bc those shenanigans are so fun. Skylor has so much sibling bullying ammo with actually you make fun of the green ninja all the time but you don’t know it, unfortunately she doesn’t get to put it to use.

Further on the whole nya as the green ninja

It would’ve helped with ninjago’s general problem with only having girl characters have story lines and character development if they’re a love interest or being friends/family of the male characters.

While it would’ve made Nya feel more excluded from the group I think it would also have made for great character development and narrative parallels (siblings having a rift over fate)

When I was younger I thought the fact that Nya was excluded from the contest over who would be the green ninja was intentional. I also thought Lloyd being the only one wearing green was a red herring.

Nya was already shown to be a capable fighter.

I feel like Morro would be pissed that not only was he NOT the green ninja but that he was bested by a girl

I guess Harumi would have to rely on trying to be friends with Nya instead of romance…

Maybe Garmadon and Maya had a one night stand and gave Lloyd the water element lol

Kai, Nya and Lloyd are half siblings and somehow they all have divorced parents

Also because Lloyd didn’t have to age up to fight Garmadon he’s a little kid for the rest of the seasons

Chapter 9 Searching for artifacts

“I have picked up on the sons of Garmadon and they seem to be...raiding museums?” Pixel reported with a confused face about the organization’s actions especially since they were taking commands from Lloyd “Why in the world would he ask for them to do that?” Ronin questioned going to see the monitor on the surveillance footage of the gang “It appears he’s after something that can be found in museums.” Wu pointed his staff at what they were holding having Pixel zoom in on it though it was hard to figure out what it was “Come on we can’t just stand around trying to figure out what they’re stealing!” Kai instructed and ran out the other ninja following pursuit summoning their dragons to fly down to the city “What do you guys think they’re stealing?” Jay asked to kill time while they made their way “Probably a map to another damn serpentine it would make sense, he’s released them once and he’ll do it again.” Cole responded with an eye roll “Remember when we first met Lloyd?” Zane brought up while they were on the topic “Oh yeah when he came into the village demanding for candy.” Kai added and they chuckled a little before a pause, when they first met Lloyd he was just some kid wanting to be like his father and now he’s become exactly that.

Once arriving to where the gang was raiding a museum they all jumped down ready to fight landing on the ground to do spinjitzu knocking out any biker that was close to them “Yeah! Feels nice to fight people you can defeat.” Cole said which was true all their previous fights was against Lloyd whom they couldn’t defeat time and time again that the others couldn’t help but wonder, can they actually be able to defeat him? Meanwhile Harumi rushed up to Lloyd as he practiced honing his new Oni abilities “The ninja are starting to interfere with the plan, should I send backup to deal with them?” She kneeled before him while speaking, a hum could be heard as he considered this question “No need to do so I already got this.” He pulled out from his pocket a scroll that was brought back to him “Then why are we still retrieving the artifacts?” Was her next question “To throw the ninja off my trail. If I hide my true motive with a fake one they’ll be distracted with that one while we can work on ours without problem.” He explained and added that the fake motive was retrieving artifacts of a serpentine “Why a serpentine? And how can you be so sure that they’ll follow through it?” “Trust me I’ve been around them long enough to know how they think, I know it’ll work.”.

“He really is going to release another serpentine!” Jay gasped after they tied up the bikers and finished interrogating with them “I don’t know, that doesn’t really match up with everything Lloyd’s done right now.” Morro couldn’t agree with that answer it didn’t seem right, how could he turn himself Oni then just release serpentine? Obviously this felt like a trick “No way, this has to be it.” Kai disregard the comment “We should start tracking them down once they get a move on to the location.” Nya suggested though first they had to report their findings by going back to the monastery “Serpentine? That’s...odd.” Garmadon looked confused at what he was told and Morro agreed with him “It’s what we’re told so it has to be it.” Zane added, Morro was going to argue back but was interrupted by Kai going “We’ve known him longer than you have, we got this.” With that they all left Morro stayed behind.

“Are you not going with them?” Pixel asked since he didn’t join them “No. I’m going with what I think is really the plan.” He was about to leave when Garmadon placed a hand on his shoulder “I’ll join you, I feel that there is something more sinister behind this.” After that the two went off with their own plan. The ninja followed the bikers that were leading them away to a serpentine once arriving they fought off everyone until noticing something is off “Wait a minute. Isn’t this?-“ Kai was interrupted by a voice saying “The tomb where Pythor was imprisoned?” They all turned around to face a masked Mr E holding a monitor that displayed Lloyd on the screen “Why yes it is. I’m surprised you hadn’t noticed sooner.” He could tell they were all felt dumb for falling in his trap especially when someone told them against it “I thought that-“ “Thought that Mr E was dead? Well yes but I managed to repair them with a few modifications.” Lloyd interrupted Zane when they spoke regarding Mr E next he ordered the robot to attack them which it did during the fight the ninja didn’t realize they got pushed into the cave but when they did it was too late as before they got closed in they heard from Lloyd “I’ll see you soon. Maybe for the last time.”
