Rusting RTG 1 by amtraknortheast1 Via Flickr: Amtrak RTG Turboliner lead car 59 sits derelict along a road in Dugger, Indiana. The last known example of an existing Amtrak RTG Turboliner, the story of how 59 got to its current location after retirement is unknown. Some stories state it was bought by an Amtrak contractor and moved out of Beech Grove Shops in the early 1990s to its current location via truck to “prove a point to Conrail” about pricing. No matter how or why it got to where it is, one thing is certain: it is an extreme rarity.
The train of the future, everyone.

The pedimented mantel in the hall comes from Ardgillan in County Dublin and is made of Kilkenny marble. Combined with the arms of the Gorges family of County Meath, set within, it provides a focal point in the hall and a fine setting for the fire that burns continuously through the winter months.
