ROTTMNT ART CHALLENGE DAY 1 - Mikey! I thought I’d do him with random colours as a greyscale challenge? It didn’t go well??

Despite the fact that I put a bunch of oranges and greens in the colour pallet, HE’S STILL GOT PURPLE??? I’m never doing the greyscale challenge again.

I think this would be maybe a year or two after the invasion? In lair games on of the captions says he does ballet so I balletified him

Did a little greyscale doodle of Nana to get back into the swing of digital art!

Set my ipad to greyscale, made a lil color palette, and upped the color jitter on my brush :]

Left is what I saw while drawing, and right is the final result!

I was actually scared coloring this one not because I didn’t know the colors, but because I do know where everything is on the color wheel. Downside is I can’t tell shades.

Alright! so I put a greyscale filter on my computer, i picked a bunch of rainbow palettes, i painted this. At the time of this posting i still have not taken off the filter, so let me just hope that this does not look like shit!!!!

Cole has had his umbra for over 50 years and supervillains only came around at the very beginning of this year. I imagine he was just chilling near or on NJ beaches n boardwalks as Bigfoot for decades bc he gets to goof off and collect little critters in a dress and have no one recognize him as Cole

So @lmshady made me aware of the Greyscale Art Challenge and I just had to do one myself. (Thanks to her and @kurizeria for letting me mooch the pallet)

What better thing to do than draw more self servient art for my active obsession. :^))))))

This was actually super fun to do, and I ended up enjoying it a lot once I got over the initial hump of how I wanted to set up my piece, as I don't do a tremendous amount of line-less rendering, and I really thought it was interesting how I ended up picking mostly pinks, purples and blue for the majority of the piece and ended up with serviceable skin tones for the two of them. (I'll just pretend it was all skill.)

That being said, I feel like the surprise aspect of the colour reveal helped motivate me to finish this, and I think I'd really like to do another one in the future.

so I was looking at updating my avian(species) design, by adding a good bit more of feathers. so i messed around in greyscale with a puddle of colors, and went at it. above is what i saw the whole time

It has officially been an entire year since I drew my first drawing of Akira omg

total time taken: 2 hours 23 minutes I was indecisive on how I wanted to render this drawing so I went with doing a greyscale challenge thingy. I turned my IPad to greyscale and took a random color palette off Pinterest and mixed it up then colored like that lol- Thank god it was a color I could actually see ;-;
