The Twins bring you to lots of events. Charity galas, premiers, battling contests - they're invited to plenty of things that they can't always say no to, so you end up at fancy parties two to three times a month, maybe more. Not that you're complaining. Your little side job pays very well, and ever since they asked you to be their "regular" date, they've been quite generous with other gifts too.

It's at one of these parties that you happen to meet four of the most prestigious battlers in the world - Unova's Elite Four.

The twins have introduced you to plenty of gym leaders by this point, and of course, you knew Elisa even before you knew them, but the Elite Four are different. They're curious about you, a newcomer to the scene. It's hard not to notice when they go out of their way to talk to you.

And it's hard for Ingo and Emmet not to notice when the Elite Four start openly encouraging that interest.

Whether you're admiring Marshall's muscles, laughing at one of Grimsley's jokes over a game of poker, talking to Shauntal about her new book, or having a quiet moment with Caitlin over champagne, the twins are capital J Jealous.

It takes them a few events to realize what this strange mix of feelings is - the anger, the despair, the longing, the frustration - and by the time they have some tabloids have already caught on. Part of why it takes them as long as it does is that ... they really shouldn't be feeling this way.

They definitely can't say anything to you outright, because technically your relationship is strictly business... isn't it? They won't forbid you from spending time with anyone else. You should be allowed to have fun with whoever you want, as long as you're still fulfilling your job as their (secretly platonic) date. It doesn't, shouldn't matter how they feel. But they just can't get it out of their heads whenever the E4 are around.

Fortunately for them, there are two of them. One of them can always swoop in to distract you, even if the other is held up. Emmet pulls you square into his lap during poker and has you pick cards for him. He whispers in your ear to stay focused while his thumb rubs circles on your hip. Ingo whisks you into a dance and away from Marshall and Shauntal, his graceful movements take your breath away. It feels like dancing on air with him. Both twins saddle up on either side of you when you're with Caitlin, placing a hand on each hip and offering you a new flute of champagne.

The Elite Four are not blind. They can see how deep in Ingo and Emmet already are for you and have discussed it among themselves. It's become a little game for them to see how quickly they can rile the boys up.

As for yourself, you love the attention. Your heart warms each time the twins tumble over themselves to be near you. And sure, maybe that's them trying to prove to the cameras that they're good dates (they DO get a lot of good press in the days following). But could it be something more? It felt real, but can your feelings be trusted? Or are you just trying to see something that's not there? What would really be the harm in flirting a little more to find out...

Molayne x Kahili - Steelwedgeshipping

These two are very much a secretive couple but not like their doing bad stuff they just keep to themselves

Kahili is a bit emotionally constipated so molayne helps her a lot with expressing her emotions

They both have bracelets that they wear that were made by Olivia for their engagement

Molayne’s represents his dugtrio with two little diamonds for the eyes and a citron gem for the nose

Kahili’s is based on her Toucannon and has two onyx gems for the eyes and a spinel for the red part of its beak

They met due to the elite four and Kukui introducing them cause he thought they would get along well

And they did but Kahili was definitely a bit skeptic due to her golfing career and not wanting to shove Molayne into the spotlight

But she does end up kissing him on camera at her last match before retiring

Overall they are very soft and sweet

Shauntal x Grimsley - Rolandshipping

These two are very romantic but also very very freaky at the same time

Goth couple

Very much library dates and candlelight dinners but also just lounging on the couch with each other

They are both extremely into the paranormal (Shauntal especially she is ghost type for a reason)

She has a podcast that grimsley frequents and they talk about hauntings and all the spooky stuff

Shauntal can be a bit shy at times so grimsley is her biggest hypeman

And Shauntal makes sure that he gets enough rest and doesn’t gamble to much

They are big softies who do look intimidating but really aren’t

Kris x Silver - Redemptionshipping

Kris becomes a triathlete when she’s older she still loves the thrill of battle but she’s not really focused on that anymore

Silver goes on his own journey to Kalos and they end up being really good at the long distance relationship things

Silver makes sure that Kris takes breaks and spend time away from her sport

Kris makes sure to stay in touch frequently so silver doesn’t feel alone all the time

When they do meet they aren’t really the type too show to much affection in public but they do hold hands alot

They are the silent but very sweet couple

Silver gets taught dessert recipes by Kris cause she’s amazing at baking

Whilst he himself is more a cook and does big meals a lot of the time

They love to take hikes together it’s an unspoken thing between the two of them but they just know when either wants to meet up and go for a huge hike

Their bond is extremely strong which makes them an awesome team to battle against

It shows through their pokèmon who have an equally strong bond

These two were the enemies to lovers in kalos

Most of the league had bets on when they’d get together or break up

But they are very sweet

Cafe dates or battling dates they pick and choose depending on their moods

Grant helps viola with her photography sometimes when he’s not busy with the gym

Viola joins grant climbing sometimes and they get into some very heated competitions

Grant had to get Alexa’s approval before he could officially ask viola out

It took a few months of convincing (alexa is a tough cookie to crack)

Bit together they are extremely strong and cute

Viola helps grant with balancing the gym and his work

Grant helps viola relax with his cooking as making sure she rests enough due to her own photography projects

Having said that grant sometimes just takes some shots of viola when there put and about on dates sometimes

He has a photo book full of photos from the start up till now of their relationship

Selene (Moon) x Lily - Moonlilyshipping

They are both very quiet, their relationship is not one many know about (apart from elio/hau/gladion)

So they spend hours and hours just snuggling and chilling in each other’s rooms with their pokèmon

Lily likes to read to selene when she’s not doing her champion work and stuff

Selene loves to make lily little trinkets and give her gemstones as a symbol of her love and it’s her way of showing Lily she cares

They tend to take long walks on the beaches just talking about their days or something that had happened

They have double dates with hau and gladion which consists hau talking his ass of with selene trying to match his energy

Lily and gladion both end up smiling like idiots and wonder how they got wonderful partners like that

Lily becomes a pokèmon professor in the future staying in alola to help kuki and burnett with their growing family

She eventually becomes alola’s official professor, travelling all over to spread her research along with the other professors

Selene eventually retires/gets beaten and leaves the position of champion at some point (early 30s/ late 20s?)

You can find her in the battle tower though she likes it there

Hau x Gladion - Cutebonesshipping

Another sort of enemies/rivals/to lovers thing

They tended to avoid each other at first, hau did make the first moves and was like “I think ur cool would you like to be my friend?”

Gladion challenged him to several battles

It took hau a bit to realise that gladion was trying to find his weaknesses whilst battling and while he knows he has a few, hau knows he and his team are strong

And when hau continues to beat gladion’s ass oh he falls hard does gladion

He tells Lily and Lily is the same about selene, they are very bad at love btw

Hau and Gladion are getting to know each other a lot better

They have battle dates as well as malasada dates

Hau ends up asking him out when they finish a battle one time cause he knew that gladion might not do it

Gladion blushes his ass of and makes sure to always reaffirm his love for hau because the bean is a tad bit self conscious

Hau travels to jhoto and kanto to try all the food, his blog becomes quite popular in the world

Gladion stays with Lily sometimes but travels to kalos to meet with Korrina who he’s close friends with

Hau loves to bring back little keychains and accessories that will suit gladion

In turn gladden brings hau food from kalos back

it's not a ship i personally ship (i headcanon Grimsley as gay personally) but i definitely see the appeal of it!! they have aesethics that go well together and i can definitely see enjoyment of their dynamics! me seeing Grimsley as gay is purely my own self indulgence of me being gay and projecting on him. I consider myself pretty receptive to different interpretations of him and think a lot of fun in fandom is seeing how everyone has slightly different interpretations and ships!

5. is there a muse you really want to try? if yes: what’s stopping you? Honestly? Not particularly. Some days I want to write Grimsley or Giovanni. But then I remember why I don't write canons. I. Hate. Stepping. On. Toes. In the RPCs I come from, something as minor as writing the same canon as someone who's established and popular is enough to get you ostracized, I like to avoid that.

7. describe your favorite relationship dynamic. (can be any kind, platonic, romantic, familial, antagonistic, etc.) Funnily enough I have more dynamics I hate than I love. But I will always adore teacher and student dynamics, platonic and otherwise. And I don't mean school teacher, I mean skill teacher. Alistair X Shauntal is my prime example for it. That woman taught him to read, it took her 5 years, but she did it. They bonded through that. Hell, it wasn't even a romantic bond until AFTER he'd learned, and then came back to check on the woman that taught him.

I already dislike the Pokémon fandom's obsession with creating unnecessarily long ship names by naming them [word] + "shipping", but some of them don't even make sense to me.

Like, Lucian x Shauntal = Bookshelfshipping. Okay, I hate everything about it, but I get it, it makes sense, y'know?

BUT WHO THE HELL IS ROLAND AND WHY IS HE THE SHIP NAME FOR SHAUNTAL/GRIMSLEY??? JUST CALL IT GRIMSHAUNTAL AND BE DONE WITH IT LIKE ANY NORMAL FANDOM AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Unova, once again getting bopped by F2P.  But this time, Fairy-weak Marshal isn't here to save them.

Vs. Grimsley Grass-weak means it's Gardenia time.  I always forget this, and it's distressing every time, but Gardenia actually cannot OHKO the sides reliably under standard parameters.  They barely survive.  I am legitimately considering 20/20 for her, just to solve for this problem, because it is so stupid and meant I had to do this match a second time.  Bullshit, I say.

Vs. Marshal So.  After using Kahili many, many times, I realized something of critical importance.  Because her sync is her only damage, and she doesn't have EX, the sides become a problem that need to be flinch locked.  This team was built in response to that.  Blue can buff Kahili's needed stats, Farfetch'd can Leer (Sawk is immune, go figure).  But once you get rolling, two 60% flinch rates can really lock down the entire opposing field, setting Kahili up beautifully.  If you take out center and both are still alive, you're basically untouchable.  You know.  Unless you miss a collective four flinches in a row and it takes out Blue.  But what are the odds of that happening (Good, they happened).

Vs. Caitlin I have been waiting for this.  Shauntal grid.  Lodge Morty is a decent buff bot, but I'll probably shift to MU Torchic upon receiving a grid.  Nothing against Morty in particular, but the buffing is a little slow for Shauntal's liking.  It's not impossible to work with, I may decide against this, but you know.  Shauntal deals like 7k damage per Shadow Ball before factoring in special defense drops, and Agatha's sleep allows us to ensure safer buffing from Morty, thanks to CS having attacks pivot to X items.  It's a really safe system.  They kinda brutalized this stage.  I don't even think we took damage because Morty dodged an attack.  Wait, no, we took some damage.  Because Agatha's trainer move hurts herself.

Vs. Shauntal Gamers...we did it.  We found an optimal use for Liza.  Finally, I can rest.  Liza's dual offense buffing means she tops off both Ghetsis and Candice in one move, then has special defense boosting to keep the team alive.  Candice is capable of exploding stages with ease each sync, thanks to Follow-Through 9 on Hail, while Ghetsis' Glaciate can tear through the sides.  Though in a pinch, a Noble Roar on something isn't the worst thing to keep Liza alive.  This was a fairly clean win.  I'm proud of them.

Vs. Iris Oh, Zinniquaza.  I set you up with a nigh-perfect F2P team, and what do you give me?  6k on sync.  6k.  That's it.  I'm pretty sure Cyrus could do better, girl.  You even missed the crit on two of them.  Winona had to pull double duty with the flinches just to save your ass.  This was not a good showing.  I regret this.  But I guess sometimes it's good to confirm your biases, so good work, Zinniquaza, you've proven once again why I don't like using you.  On the other hand, shoutouts to Cynthia, who I expected to drop like a sack of shit being worse against physical moves, but actually stood the whole match.  Sure, some of that was Winona flinches, but she took a good three hits, that's not bad.

So ah funny story: I clicked the wrong parameters for this round. Instead of running the usual all damage parameters with this one have a defense up one so I can take out the No Stat Reduction so I can take advantage of Mewtwo's Brainteaser node on the sync grid. But I just picked up the defense parameter, didn't pick the attack one since I was clicking so fast. And I didn't find this out until I beat the stage. So oops.
