Oh hey I did a thing! Newest dolls. Gil Grissom and Sara Sidle from CSI 🥰. I made patterns for them for anyone who crochets, but mostly they were just a passion project for me. My first obsession, my first ship, I miss them. ❤️ I did both OG and CSI: Vegas versions of Grissom.
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation | Jorja Fox as Sara Sidle

"Her understated portrayal of constant wounded warranted rage was so visceral. She was a consistent CSI that always did her job even when it was soul-destroying: she woke up and went to fight her demons everyday. This grit and fortitude brought out a reaction from everyone in the audience. No other character has as much emotion, love or hate, as Sara.
We see her righteous outrage at the world she must endure, and we either see ourselves or we reject her. It is polarizing. What a brilliant work of acting."

I love CSI for showing a tough "man's man" from Texas who loves beer and football, but also regularly cries and shows a full range of emotions.
I see cop/crime dramas so often make the men steely and hardened and emotionless and immune to the horror they see.
I love that CSI actually show that the crimes really get to Nick. He cries. At crime scenes. At work. And he doesn't apologize for it. And his coworkers don't make fun of him for it.
Knowing that Sara and Grissom do become a reality, I can appreciate the slow burn in the early seasons. Instead of being tortured by the ANGST I can go aww
