Okay so how about this easy one after that last ask. What would you recommend for someone trying to use the splat roller? I may or may not have decided to join team rice to rep Callie

As someone who mains the Splat Roller and has gotten into S+ rank, I got you!

1. Learn how to use vertical flicks!!! Practice aiming vertical flicks as much as you can. They are a valuable tool for poking at enemies because the horizontal flick doesn't have a lot of range to it. If you suck at aiming then that's perfectly okay! Just check around in your sensitivity settings, find a setting that is comfortable for you and then practice in the training area.

(Also please use motion controls... please... unless you have a disability then I can understand. But please... just use motion controls. It'll improve your aiming by a lot I promise you. It may take time to get used to it but that goes with every other shooter game out there. Use the R stick for the camera and motion controls for actually aiming at an enemy.)

2. Use this ability gear set up or something simliar.

This was made by Toyoben on YouTube who made a giant YouTube video explaining which abilities work best for each main weapon (from September 2023).

Ninja Squid is basically a must for the roller as you wanna be sneaky when swimming through your curling bomb trail, hidden jump because that ability is just good overall, swim speed up to counter the Ninja Squid speed debuff, and super jump because it's good to get in and out of areas because the Roller is a frontline weapon.

Now you don't HAVE to follow this exactly! This is just a guideline on what you should aim for when using the Splat Roller! You can add whatever you want but I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NINJA SQUID AND HIDDEN JUMP! They work super duper well for the Splat Roller.

3. Be aggressive with the Big Bubbler, let's say that one of your teammates has a tri zooker and you're pushing up the rainmaker. What you can do is use some curling bombs to get further into the enemy base (be careful when doing so tho), place down a Big Bubbler to protect the tri zooker as they fire off shots, and help the rainmaker reach the checkpoint.

The Big Bubbler is a pretty good special and it works well for the Roller. You can plop down the special on a tower for example and just fire off horizontal flicks.

4. Positioning is VERY important. Do NOT just stand and swim around in the open as chargers and other weapons with more range than you can easily splat you without you even noticing. Find cover and use it, find high ground and rain ink from above. The Splat Roller is at its weakest when its just in the open. Other weapon classes can get away with it but not the Roller class. Be sneaky, be cautious, actively think about where you should be going, and don't play the game on autopilot!!!

Anyways that's the tips I got for you! Enjoy using the roller and I hope you learn the ways of the Callie Cuttlefish.

okay fine only because time is moving slow today & it’s earlier than it feels I will be finishing a good girls guide to murder. I was hoping it would take me a bit longer than this to finish a rare show I actually haven’t seen before that I’m actually watching & into because this almost never happens. but this is where we’re at with tv show season lengths unfortunately & I prolonged it as much as I could.

I have no idea if we’re in for a cliff hanger or if this is a mini series but I’m really compelled by the show so here we gooo 👀
