Becky Sauerbrunn: Christen sees the glass as half full, I see it as half empty.
Becky: That's why we make a good team.
Becky: ARod, on the other hand, just drinks right out of the bottle.
Becky: Gunny wonders why it has to be a glass.
Becky: And Kelley usually breaks the glass by putting her feet up on the table.

Idk if you'll answer this but what are your predictions on which unprotected players (uswnt or nwsl) are for sure getting traded to Louisville? For me I'm just curious as to why Orlando left Ash & Ali unprotected & why OL left Pinoe in the dust. Also wtf I didnt know Chicago was allowed to protect their entire roster ???
Orlando left Ali and Ash unprotected because LV can only take 1 allocated player from a team and Ali and Ash are not going to be split up. For one because they wouldn’t leave each other (again) and second, they are 35 and 36.
Reign probably assumed that Pinoe won’t be drafted anyway because of her age and connection to Seattle, probably a correct assumption.
Chicago traded (way too much) to get squad protection so all their players are protected. We haven’t seen that before but it is allowed.
If i was LV i would take only 1 allocated player, Christen. I would take the 75k for not selecting another and use that to get Cat. I know people are saying, “but Chris won’t play”, which is probably true if she gets drafted. However, LV doesn’t need Christen to play, she won’t be back in the NWSL until after the Olympics anyway. Hold onto her rights and trade them to LA next year, she is worth more than 75k in that trade. I would even try to get squad protection from LA in return for Chris so you’re sure you don’t lose players in the expansion draft next year.
Utah is simply being incredibly stupid, they are going to let their only asset walk out of the door for 75k. In comparison, Portland paid 250k + an international slot for Crystal. Even if Christen wanted to leave you should never let her walk out the door like that especially when you decide to protect Kelly O’useless.
NWSL players that will get drafted is a little more tricky because this really depends on playing style, personalities, what players they got through invitationals and what is available. I would for sure take a Portland GK’er so Bella or Britt. I would probably take Shirley Cruz too if she is interested in another adventure that is.
Other players i would consider (note: this is not a list based on positions to make a full roster, just names i would consider taking).
Jennifer Cudjoe  Ally Watt (i know she tore her acl but she is young and should be recovered by the time the season starts). Carson Pickett Angela Salem, Christen Westphal or Tyler Lussi (Portland really has awesome options, take your pick) Caprice Dydasco Gunnhildur Jonsdottir Mallory Weber Caprice Dydasco Elizabeth Eddy

So everyone is throwing their expansion draft predications out and I thought I’d join the hype.
Me being not anywhere near a pro with the NWSL, having only been watching it for about 2/3 years, these are the best I can do, with the information I have.
I tried to work in the confines of the International limit and likelihood of players playing

Belgium and Iceland play out entertaining draw
Belgium and Iceland play out entertaining draw
Iceland and Belgium were forced to settle for a point each after an entertaining Euro 2022 Group D encounter in front of a raucous crowd at Manchester City’s Academy Stadium. Berglind Thorvaldsdottir’s second-half header had put Iceland on course for only their second win at a European Women’s Championship. But a penalty by Reading’s Justine Vanhaevermaet, after Gunnhildur Jonsdottir’s foul on…
