Aesthetic: The bad twin was always her brother so she could get away with murder. Leather and red-painted lips, the purr of a bike beneath her, the road is her closest friend, and unlike the black sheep she respected it. But at least he was a sheep- she’s a wolf, wicked toothed and hungry underneath fleece, a hyena waiting for the right kind of scraps looking after her cackle- a will to do anything to protect what’s hers. HISTORY

A boston transplant in her early days, Amelia Ward was always the more cunning of the Ward twins, the one with the plan to put her brother’s might to work. They saw their first body at eight- they learned about murder at eleven- Sometimes she misses hushed discussions of who in town might be a killer hiding among them with her brother- She misses the other things about him far, far less.

Her family was loyal to a biker gang, and until Tilt’s accident, Mimi was a popular fixture at the local clubhouses, both of her own crew, and others. She was never involved in more than a little drug use and drinking, and knows nothing about her brother’s deal for amnesty in the face of a bust that spared her losing her beloved job at the local news station as a late night host.

She’s been the overnight host of the local news station since her early twenties, and is well liked for it, a sardonic, witty type capable of a clean, charming delivery with a sense of humor in most things, she fell into the role well, though she does have a tendency to gossip about things in a way that’s a little… disrespectful without thinking it through.

After the death of their father, and Tilt’s accident soon after, Mimi hung up her loftier goals of eventually leaving Greenview to look after Tilt, and when the prognosis declared he was likely to never be able to live alone again, she swallowed their lingering differences, and the two of them moved into a small home in town- it beat the trailer park they grew up in, and separate apartments, when there was always the risk of Tilt having an episode.

Her familial loyalty is unwavering, and in the face of murders happening around town, she’ll sooner sell anyone else up the river to save her and Tilt’s hides- though she maintains her own research, and a conspiracy style pinboard about the incident years ago- but she insists ‘true crime is in’ these days.

She's the only Ward who still has ties to the gang that quickly fell apart after the bust following Tilt's accident, though her colors and her motorcycle both have the patch for The Carnivale resolutely crossed out or covered over- she's just not in the market for giving up on good leather or a perfectly functional easy rider.

Far more skeptical and untrusting of others than her brother, Mimi tends to subject most everyone Tilt brings home to a substantial amount of scrutiny, up to and including background checks, if she can get away with it- this habit has not lightened, in the days following an actual, legitimate murder.

Matrix had grown up in Texas on a ranch with her older brother clay but despite being the younger one she felt like she needed to take care of him instead of the other way around. This was due a lot to his clumsy nature, that didn’t stop her from still having time to herself though where she often spent it watching criminal shows.

This made her fall in love with the idea of becoming a detective and decided that’s what she wanted to do as her career, starting as an officer and eventually earning her way up to becoming a detective in New York where she moved because of a job offer.

She kept in constant contact with her brother though, making sure he was okay and taking care of himself, even visiting when he’d moved to greenview just to check the town out for herself.

She sustained a career altering injury where she was placed on long term medical leave, eventually making it hard for her to actually do her job and having to take a demotion but even the demotion was difficult and had to be put on desk duty.

She was too anxious to even stay in New York so she packed up her things and moved to greenview to be closer to her brother again and to feel safe. She’s trying to dip her toes back into a career she once loved by becoming an officer hoping this will help her get over her fear.

when foster mentioned wanting to leave, they packed up all of their things and went with him, never once turning back

Background:

Isaiah was born in Baltimore, and grew up on the rough and tumble streets. His father left when he was very young, leaving his mother to raise him alone. She tried her hardest to raise him well, and while Isaiah loved her and cared for her as much as she did for him, he still ended up joining a street gang.

His mother did not like his being in a gang, but Isaiah felt it was the only way he could make something of himself. Then one day, one of his fellow gang members came to him in need of help. He had killed someone during a botched robbery, and needed a place to hide. Isaiah helped him out, but it was not until later after the other man was gone that he found out the truth: his own mother had been the one killed in the robbery attempt.

Isaiah was devastated, and blamed himself for letting the murderer go, but at the same time, he also vowed revenge, and did not stop until he managed to track the man down. Once he was dead, Isaiah had to escape, lest he be caught and tried for murder. So he went on the run, and tried to head somewhere he thought would be a safe hideout. Greenview seemed as good a place as any, and so he came to town.

Valkyrie was the youngest and the only girl of her family. Unfortunately her mother left when she was very young that left her to be raised by her older brother and her father.

While her brother was her best friend, he was rarely home. Doing whatever their father wanted of them it left Valkyrie and him a lone a lot. He would treat her like a stay at home wife, Doing house hold chores, taking care of him and because she grew up to look a lot like her mother her father treated her as such. Forcing himself on her at a very young age. At a very very young age, it wasn't until her brother came home and walked in on him that Valkyrie really starter to try to fight her father when he still continued to abuse her.

She began the resent her brother. Hoping that he would just take her away from the monster that was their father but what was proven to be nothing but a pipe dream. Her brother found a girl and ran away with her never looking back at the mess that was the moon family drama.

She was 18 when she met the strange man who would eventual become her husband. He was almost nearly too old for her but the two had a connection she couldn't deny but she kept him at arms reach. Scared he too would leave her. She ended up sleeping with him as a way to take control back of her body.

He professed his love to her and told her that he had to take care of somethings and that he would be back for her. She didn't hold too much weight And in the meantime she studied to be a mortician. She was always fascinated with the macabre, death and even witchcraft. This made her even more of an outsider wherever she lived.

Her father would eventually pass away, while his death was sudden and it raised a few brows no one had said anything about it. At the end of the day he was just a Drunk asshole with a weird creepy daughter. And as if like clockwork, Valkyries man came back but he had bad news.

he didn’t have much time to live so they eloped, got married and he left everything to her in his will. He spend the rest of that year with her in Salem MA, suddenly Valkyrie was a very rich Woman with the keys to a lovely home in his home town called greenview.

She moved from her home in Salem to Greenview and despite being well off she took a job as the mortician in Greenview.It’s been 6 years since she moved to Greenview and she still is seen as an outsider.She’s been painted as the “Black Widow” in town because of her connection to the Funeral Home, Her Reclusive behavior, and how odd the whole situation is with her Late husband.

His father wasn’t prepared to have a second kid so before Xavier was even born their father had left their mother alone with a soon to be newborn and a toddler who kept asking where their father was and when he was coming home. They didn’t know any of this obviously but when they learned this information he couldn’t help but feel responsible despite the fact it wasn’t his fault.

They would fight a lot with their older sibling because they seemed to have the same mentality no matter how hard their mother tried to tell them it was no one’s fault but their fathers but that didn’t stop.

Eventually they got sick of it and Xavier moved out, took a gap year from college which turned into deciding to never go back then traveled for a good while before settling into greenview where he’s now been for the last few years.

Vincent was an only child, not the kind where he was spoiled by any means but his parents made enough to make ends meet. a lot of his clothes came from hand me downs from family friends but his parents always made sure to save enough to be able to get him gifts for christmas and his birthday. 

it made him good at saving since he watched his parents do it but it also made him appreciate every little thing he got no matter what it was, he could’ve gotten socks and acted like he just got a new game system. That followed him into adulthood, his job before town was well enough to spoil any of his friends and his parents before they eventually passed from old age. 

He doesn’t like to talk about his life much before town but he’ll happily strike up a conversation with anyone who wants one (and the occasional who doesn't), he tries to be a happy go lucky guy, cracking dad jokes here and there but overall just likes to make people laugh.

That’s a big reason why he took a job as a laser tag instructor because he gets to have fun with it, make the kids laugh and maybe if he’s lucky coworkers too. He does tell the kids to shoot his coworkers if they see them so steer clear, or don’t, he’ll think it’s funny anyway.

She grew up playing video games but wasn’t allowed to play shooters, it was things like minecraft, open worlds and rpgs with minimal to no violence. As she got older she was allowed the more ‘adult’ games like call of duty etc and eventually got into competitive gaming. 

Anytime there was free time after school and homework was done she was usually spending the time playing games then in high school her school for some reason formed an e-sports team and she tried out, making the team and stayed on there until she graduated. 

She technically still lives with her parents but it’s voluntary since it’s given her the opportunity to travel with money she’s saved up but she’s completely independent from them even though she’s offered to pay rent. She isn’t really a streamer though she’ll do one here and there for extra money especially around the holidays.

She’s in town because of a tournament that was a few towns over and heard about the tourist aspect of it from a friend so she decided to extend her trip longer. It wasn’t like she didn’t have the money to do so anyway, she wasn’t rich by any means, she just knows how to save her money.

Background:

Cyrus was born and raised in Greenview, but always felt the small town life was not for him. He had big dreams of getting out of town and heading to a big city. His parents wanted to support their son, but they did not want him to go so far, and tried to persuade him to stay any way they could. But he just could not see himself being a small town boy forever, and so after high school, he finally left, with no word to his parents beyond a note.

He should have felt bad for leaving in such a way, but Cyrus was much too excited to finally be able to live his dreams. He headed south and eventually ended up in Miami. Immediately he was swept up by the glamor of the city, and while it took a while for him to get his footing, he finally did. He worked a series of odd jobs for years, never really finding anything that stuck. But then eventually he came upon the world of professional video gaming. Having always been an avid video gamer, he set out to make a name for himself, streaming games and creating a decent online presence. During this time, he also met a man who came from a rich family, and despite their differing background, the two of them became fast, inseparable friends.

But this friendship was threatened when Cyrus began to have an affair with his best friend's wife. When their affair eventually came to light, instead of owning up to his mistake, he left Miami, and though he was not keen on the idea of going home to Greenview, he felt it was safer for him to head somewhere that he could keep a low profile, and thus he returned.

Background:

Etienne was born in New Orleans and had a happy childhood with his parents, until they were sadly killed in a car crash when he was seven. Afterwards, an older uncle took him in and raised him, and both he and Etienne became very attached to each other. His uncle loved to cook and he taught him all the tricks of the trade, hoping he might go on to become a chef one day. Etienne liked that idea, and had every intention of doing so--until his uncle too sadly passed away.

The older man had had little money, leaving Etienne with hardly anything, thus making it nearly impossible for him to make his dream of becoming a chef come true. But his uncle had also taught him how to play cards, and being as he was rather good at that, he decided to see just how much he could parlay that into making some money. After some trial and error, Etienne became adept not only at playing cards well but also at cheating. He won plenty of money, and while he should have taken that money and used it towards chef school, he found he was getting much too caught up in the rush of seeing just how much he could get away with.

He did get away with it for a good while, but eventually the casinos began to catch on. And once Etienne started to get banned from too many casinos, he turned to thievery, which he ended up being equally good at. Thus he commenced a spree of both small and large heists all over the world. But after a heist gone wrong, he narrowly avoided being caught and was forced to go into hiding. Etienne knew he could not go back to New Orleans since he assumed that would be the first place law enforcement would check, so he decided to head for Greenview, thinking it's the last place law enforcement will look for him.
