I need Azriel to have a confessional moment with Gwyn, similar to Rhys with Feyre in the cabin. Doesn’t need to lead to a chapter 55 moment (I actually prefer if it doesn’t lead to anything physical so it doesn’t distract from the tenderness of the confession, and the last thing Az needs is getting physical too soon with his mate, boy needs the inner work to happen first), but more than anything he needs someone he will trust on that level, where he’s unfiltered and uncensored. He’s not even like that with his friends of centuries, he shuts down even with his closest people.

I need it so I can hug my box of tissues with snot running down my chin and vision blurred by tears while reading it.

I need Gwyn to take his face into her hands, stare at his face until he meets her eyes, and say “you’re enough. You’re good. You are exactly what you ought to be and exactly who I want, and I’ll always remind you in case you forget. I’ll also kick your ass in the process” with a wide grin at the last.

Amid tears. Azriel grasps her hands still on his face and smiles. “It would be my pleasure to have my ass kicked by you everyday. Just be here everyday.”

I love Gwyneth Berdara.

I know, it may sound obvious, but each day I am reminded one way or another that some people still can’t/don’t want to comprehend some things.

Therefore this is a Gwyn appreciation post because she deserves the best.

I’ve loved Gwyn ever since she was introduced. I was interested, intrigued by her; I wanted to learn more. I found myself getting excited each time she was mentioned or she made an appearance in ACOSF. The more I learnt about Gwyn, the more I wanted to get to know her character even better.

I don’t love Gwyn because I like Gwynriel, or because I hate certain characters. No. I love Gwyn as an individual character, and I want to read more of her story. I want her to have her deserved happy ending.

I love Gwynriel. I am not claiming they are in love (because, obviously, they are not), but there is potential. Potential that, if explored appropriately, could lead to one of Sarah’s best romances - I genuinely get those vibes from Gwynriel.

But if the ship does not happen, it doesn’t mean I’ll stop loving Gwyn. I won’t just switch it up and bash her. Why? Once again, I love Gwyn as a character, not as a part of a ship. Whether she ends up with Azriel, another character, or no one, she’ll remain among my favourite characters, and I’ll still be looking forward to reading about her.

Gwyn is kind, loyal, selfless. She’d give her life for the loved ones. Gwyn is strong and ambitious, and does not let fears conquer her. She’s seriously one of Sarah’s best characters, and it is sad so many people villainize her just because of a stupid ship war.

What we know of Lightsingers from ACOSF

This implies that as soon as there’s physical contact whatever luring facade exists is gone and you should be able to see their true selves.

If that is the case, regarding Gwyn:

There were plenty of moments where Gwyn came into physical contact with both Nesta and Emerie, and yet nothing happened. No changes to Gwyn's person is noted.

But oh of course, Gwyn is such a good Lightsinger, here we see her using the power of reverse psychology to deceive Nesta into not cutting the bridge's rope. Gwyn was absolutely not willing to sacrifice herself to buy Nesta and Emerie time to escape, just as she did in Sangravah:

And of course, she's using her Lightsinger powers to stand with Nesta against the Illyrians, knowing death was a real possibility, without any personal gain:

The luring power here is especially strong:

Sarcasm aside, this should be sufficient in disproving the "Gwyn is a Lightsinger" theory.
