So they're making a german production of Hamilton and the line "I'm a trust fund baby you can trust me" was changed to "you're a babe I'd drink your bathwater", which I, personally, think is hilarious.

tomorrow the EP of the german hamilton cast recording drops (not a full album, I think they're doing less than half the songs lol) and they posted a professional recording of german Satisfied!

this is the best song in the whole production. it literally doesn't get better than this–so um. keep that in mind ❤️

no idea why they went for this weird rpf angle tho. I'm guessing they FOR REAL didn't make a recording of the show in line of og hamilton on disney plus, which. very bad sign.

one thing about German Hamilton that bugged me is that Eliza's fourth wall break at the end didn't really have.... any impact? because it wasn't REALLY about Alexander's story in that last song. at some points they do say they "tell his story", but mostly it's just "history" as a broader term, as "who tells your story" became "who writes history".

so when Eliza would have said "and when my time is up, have I done enough, will they tell your story?", in german she says

"is my time up? has it been enough? like a part of history?" (I have no idea what that last part means btw lol)

so her gasping at the sight of the audience at the end. doesn't make sense if you don't know the original lyrics. which is a shame because that's the most powerful moment of the whole show to me

So I finally managed to see hamilton in Hamburg and it was really amazing. Sadly I already forgot some lyrics so I thought hey lets share favorites.! I'll start :

It ads more depth in the end, when hamilton doesn't shot bur. It makes hamilton look better. Bc you think maybe he doesn't want to kill bur bc they are still friends. At the very least he sees him as a human. at least more than his enemies in battle!
