Had the time of my life at the Linkin Park concert, touched half of the band (Emily too!!!) and Colin gave me his drumsticks. Stood at the barricade and cried my eyes out. Met so many cool people and got interviewed by swr3 haha

Studied before the concert and turned my library trip today into a study date. Math exam is tomorrow.

actually, what does "growing up" mean, anyway? losing my whimsy and wonder of the world? being afraid of what other people think of the things i do and enjoy? conforming and choking under the very societal norms i despise? why would anyone want to do that? for other people's comfort?

#the happiest elderly people are those who had relearned how to experience whimsy #and as people grow too old to care about what other people think #'growing up' seems to be some kind of weird cynical phase in the middle #it seems restrictive and unhappy to try seem 'mature'#when you're in your teens or 20s maybe 30s and nowhere near actually mature #only to learn later in life that it really doesn't matter and never has #and you regret the things you didn't do #like you may as well just cut that sad part out at this point #live free live happy etc etc #fill your home with the things you enjoy in the way you like it #treat yourself every day because youre the most important person in your life #im hung over and my head's spinning but i was still baffled by that ask #but this is a topic i feel a lot for in general #as with anything concerning social norms and the need to adhere to them in order to (try) be accepted #maybe im just too autistic to get it but i never saw value in that like. at all
