"What's this?" Victor asks when Yuuri shows him a small red box which looks like chocolate coated breadsticks, empty calories and regret.

"It's Pocky day," Yuuri replies. He fidgets a little, glances at Victor and then immediately away. There's a blush rising on his cheeks and oh... now Victor's intrigued.

"Pocky day?"

Yuuri taps the front of the box with his finger. Yes, there's a clear 'Pocky' written on the front in bulky white letters. Victor has noticed it before, so he only smiles indulgently and waits for Yuuri to speak up. Which he does. With a deepening blush and to Victor's growing curiosity.

"It's just this day, the 11th of the 11th month, where you're supposed to eat these and for some reason Mari sneaked some in the last package," Yuuri explains.

What he doesn't explain is his flushed face, which makes Victor even more eager to step closer. Yuuri doesn't look at him anymore. He opens the box as if to distract himself, and then offers Victor a stick right from the silvery shiny sleeve. Victor takes it, both curious and confused.

"Why this date though? Is it symbolic?" he asks, looking at a single pocky and counting in his head the additional time he'd have to spend in the gym if he were to indulge. Was it worth it?

"All the 1s represent pocky sticks," Yuuri says. "Like, you know..."

He trails off and lifts a finger up instead. Victor looks at it and suddenly he gets it.

"Oh!" he lights up with a smile as he puts the stick he's holding next to Yuuri's finger. "So this is eleven, and then you have," He pulls Yuuri's wrist to the side, moving his own alongside it, "another eleven, so the 11th of the 11th month, right? That's so clever!"

Yuuri smiles back at him. Before he can say anything, though, Victor cocks his head to the side.

"Still doesn't mean you should eat the whole thing," he judges.

Yuuri's blush rises as if Victor has caught him doing something he shouldn't be doing, but Yuuri only shakes his head hard enough that his glasses slip a little down his nose. He pushes them up absently, while Victor has to hold back the urge to kiss his nose then and there.

"I wasn't planning to," Yuuri tells Victor honestly. "There's this... thing in Japan. For couples, I mean."

All it takes is that one word and Victor finds himself at full attention again. He doesn't need to say 'I'm listening' for Yuuri to continue: Yuuri's eyes shine with a hint of mischief when he looks Victor in the eye and Victor is already gone into the land of making excuses for eating the entire box before Yuuri even opens his mouth again.

Yuuri carefully takes the stick from Victor's fingers.

"One person puts a pocky between their lips, like so," he says and pushes the end against Victor's bottom lip.

Without even thinking about it, Victor opens his mouth just a little to let it slide in. Blood suddenly rushes to his head when the tip of Yuuri's ring finger brushes against his lips and he shivers when Yuuri's pinky taps his jaw in a signal to shut his mouth. He obeys like he was born to do it. Something in Yuuri's expression shifts and he cracks a smile: small, but undeniably pleased.

Victor's entire being shivers now, too.

"You keep still like that," Yuuri tells him, smooth melted chocolate in his voice.

Even if Victor wanted to disagree, he couldn't, because his mouth is currently too busy for that. And when Yuuri leans in close enough for his breath to tickle and tease at Victor's lips, Victor freezes in expectation – just like Yuuri has told him to do.

"And then the other person just needs to..."

Victor's eyes widen a fraction as he watches Yuuri bite down on the free end of the pocky stick. He moves his head slowly, biting down more, and more, and more, until their noses bump. Positively breathless, Victor thinks this is the end, but he's wrong. And he's happy he's wrong.

Because Yuuri only tilts his head to the side and closes the rest of the distance between them as he bites the final time. There's no more pocky left, Victor knows, but Yuuri doesn't pull back immediately.

"I win," he says.

Victor doesn't know what it is exactly that Yuuri won, but it does feel like a loss when he doesn't get a kiss out of this whole thing. So he takes in the last bit of the stick that's left between his lips and then presses himself against Yuuri. Their lips meet. It's a shallow kiss, since they both need to chew and swallow first, but the warmth of touching Yuuri, kissing Yuuri, being close to Yuuri is there.

And that's all Victor needs. That, and–

"I want a rematch," he demands, and Yuuri's lips quirk up like he was expecting this.

They go through the entire sleeve of pocky before Victor is satisfied, but even then he can't help himself from indulging a little bit more as he kisses off the sweet taste of chocolate from Yuuri's lips. There will be time for regrets and calorie calculations later, he thinks right before Yuuri's tongue runs hot over his bottom lip and his mind goes blissfully blank.

Mm, he needs to thank Mari, too. But later... much, much later.

-So now you were at the grocery store

“Sero, I think you need to calm down! I’m sure she’s not going to judge! Is there anything we can do to help?” Kirishima asks, his hands going to pick up shoes Sero had left outside of his closet.

“I’m not going to fucking help out,” Bakugou rolled his eyes as he scoffs. Kirishima rammed his elbow into Bakugou’s ribcage.

“WHY WOULD MINA INVITE HER OVER?!” Sero screams as he moves around the home in a whirlwind. Tape shooting everywhere and the desperate words of Kirishima were being entirely muffled.

“Well, Mina said she is very tired of us bozos, or something like that. Plus, y/l/n is her best friend.” Kaminari says throwing an arm around Sero who was panting. Desperate to see what marginal thing he could fix. “I think your house looks great!”

The three of them looked over at Bakugou who had his arms crossed, face twisted into a scowl. “It’s okay.” He muttered and Sero nearly collapsed in relief.

The front door then swung open, Mina marching in with a large grin as you followed in afterward. A pack of pocky in your hands. “Alrighty, my dumb babies,” Mina proclaimed thrusting a box in her hands forward. “Who’s ready to lose at some trivia?!”

“Let’s hope there isn’t any academic stuff in there, huh raccoon eyes.”

“I told you Kacchan, nothing you say hurts me!” Mina cackles as she sat down, and Kirishima had to restrain Bakugou from fighting the pink girl.

“Nice house, Sero!” You exclaimed looking around with a bright smile. “I haven’t seen it in a while.”

Sero nearly faints in Kaminari’s arms as the six of you sink to the ground. Mina screaming the instructions and the teams. Sero froze as you sank next to him, smiling broadly as you shifted the boxes opening towards him, “Did ya want one?” You ask.

“I really LOVE POCKY!” Sero yelps and your grin fades and everyone stared at him. Sero wheezes at the encouraging thumbs up Kirishima and Kaminari flash him. The hard facepalm by Bakugou, and the smirk from Mina. You are oblivious though. You laugh, shaking your head, once again offering the box. “Thank you.”

“Are you sure we can’t ask her to leave, this is embarrassing for me.” Bakugou hisses at Kirishima who shakes his head.

“Leave him alone, it’s not every day you’re eighteen and in love with a beautiful girl.”

Sero laughs a bit too loudly at something you say. He flushes and begins choking on the chocolate covered pretzel.

“I’m going to fucking kill him.”

“No, you won’t!”

Sero freezes as both you and Kaminari snap their attention to him, after all, he had the answer. “Y-You’re correct!”

Sero sighed as everyone got up, it was well past three a.m., and your team had finally won. Sero didn’t even have time to stand up before everyone was gone. Shouts of goodnights filling the house. As well as Bakugou complaining about not being able to get the proper hours of rest he needed. All while Kaminari made fun of him.

“They clear out really fast.” You state from besides Sero, and he freezes.

“Oh… ye-yeah they do that a lot!” Sero grins over at you. He savors in the fact that you seem comfortable around him. Your shoulders caving as you groan.

“Well, thanks for hosting! You guys are definitely a lot different to hang out with than Uraraka and co.”

“R-Really? It’s not like this?”

“Well… we don’t have a Bakugou to bully as you guys do, so no!” You giggle and Sero laughs. Both of your hands moving for the Pocky in the box.

You both freeze as it’s the last one, and Sero yanked his hand away, face blushing. His voice stammering out an apology as you laugh it off. “It’s okay, we can share!” You state, and Sero watches as you place the chocolate pretzel between your lips. “Come on.” Your muffled voice states.

“W-Wait, what?”

With a grin, you take the pretzel out of your mouth, a crooked grin on your face. “You have heard of Pocky Challenge, right?” Sero nods his head, of course, he has! At this point who hasn’t? “Play it with me?”

Your words are innocent enough, but the gleam in your eyes, and the feeling in your smile makes Sero moan. His hands slam over his mouth, face flushed red, and embarrassed pants leaving his lips. Your eyes only gleam brighter as you shift closer. The snack swinging in-between your teeth.

“I mean, unless I’m reading into things wrong, you do like me right? If not I’ll totally forget this!” You say, your hands touching the tops of his thighs. A seductive smirk on your face.

Sero nods his head, breathes escaping his nose harshly. Too fast to be normal. Too fast for Sero Hanta! He watches as your fingers raise the pretzel up to his mouth, shaking it slightly as you grin. “Open wide.”

SO LAST WEEKEND WAS A TRIP 👏🏼

I was having a hella tough week in general and honestly I feel like I NEEDED this Lumicon weekend to just really motivate and replenish my happiness meter from my otherwise chaotic norm of self doubt TTuTT/

As usual, ever since I started attending cons, I've had this tradition where I like to give VAs some gifts (usually 🇯🇵 candy/pocky) to thank them for all their hard work & as a token of gratitude for making me happy through anime and voice acting 💙 I'm a HELLA slow drawer but I try my best & I really try to put my heart and soul into every project. But I wanted to just make everything perfect for Blake cuz he's really special to me. He is best boi. So I took like 3 days to lineart but was running outta time coloring-wise & my friend @cozymochi swooped to the rescue! What would have taken me 48 hrs to color, she legit did in 4. FOUR YALL. Cuz that Saturday, I gave her the lineart & in order to make it to Office Max in time to print, it had to be done by 6pm. YALL KIMMY WAS A TROOPER. I only gave her the lineart and that reference sheet of all the roles and she delivered magic ヽ(；▽；)ノThe amount of appreciation I feel is off the charts for this gal. Seriously, without their help, I wouldn't have made it in time to print or gotten my cosplay maintenance/ other pre-con errands done so thanks fam /;w;/!💙💙

Due to time constraints I didn't get to tell her to pls add some small details I was gonna do (like putting brightness in Otonashi's eyes, linearting Leonard's hair with grey, adding shine to the Parasyte scythe and adding blood drippings on Laito) so when I got home I added those and a few other things with white jelly roll & gel pens & it looked good 😊! It looked nicer irl but I didn't have time to scan it I'm sorry that the lighting in my room sucks but I tried my best QwQo !

BUT LEGIT I WISH I COULD HAVE RECORDED HIS REACTION TO THIS CUZ IT WAS THE MOST PRECIOUS THING AND IT'S TATTOOED IN MY BRAIN (´°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ω°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥｀)!!! Oikkodeth [Pixiv] [Twitter] - Yall better recognise. Mainly R18 doujins and puts out one every event (that’s like 5 times a year or more). They’ve covered the whole range: hanahaki, Little Red Riding Hood, human torso!Genos and more. Anatomy is a bit stiff but they’re so proficient.

Mido [Pixiv] [Twitter] - Korean but translates her comics to Japanese. Expressive, cute, clean comic style.

Akiyama [Pixiv] [Twitter] - Yall better fucking R E C O G N I S E. They, along with asamizu and a few others, have been posting since 2013. They churn out doujins like a machine and even has their own category in the doujin store, their books took up half a shelf. Consistently cute, punchy dialogue and doesn’t deal with drama. But you don’t need me to tell you. (Look at this though!!)

Hoyu [Pixiv] [Twitter] - You guys remember the sausage pillow comic? Do you like spit, licking, kinks and softcore yandere Genos? You’re gonna love Hoyu. Also, she knows loads of people? I always see her in the comments on twitter. Very skinny boys and twisted love, a new and interesting sketchy style.

Akiko [Pixiv] [Twitter] - A very girly and attentive waifu top!Genos and a tired Saitama. Puts out a comic strip almost every day? #blessed. (Sensei, please be sweet to me!) Doesn’t do R18 very often.

Oishigeru [Pixiv] - Does only doujins, maybe twice a year? Most, if not all are R18 and Saitama always looks vaguely worried. i like Even If mostly because it’s the only one I read all the way through and it’s about insecurities of a relationship. There was another doujin about Genos/Two Saitamas. Does introspective egg very well so I’m immediately biased. Doesn’t post art on twitter so I’m not including it.

Emochikaoya [Pixiv] [Twitter] - Yall already know I’m a massive fan of Kaoya’s work. Kinkwise, if you think of it, she’s probably drawn it. Super efficient, churns out minicomics once a week in between drawing her original comic (can’t stop the thirst, guys). I’m trying to get her to do more coloured illustrations so if you guys want to stroke her ego, I’ll pass it on. My favourite doujin of hers is ‘Who’ and it has hands-down The Best Egg Lecture. Probably one of the few artists who bother to translate to English (you’re welcome). I have a million things to say about her but it would turn into an essay so I’ll stop.

Minerux [Pixiv] [Twitter] - A member of the @GSNightFight challenge on Twitter. Uncertain and worried egg and supportive and very attentive borg. Check out “Curiousity” and “Red String” and a personal fav “Hold on”.

Dokimaru [Pixiv] [Twitter] - Her neko sensei is probably the most iconic. He has a sweatshirt with like 6 nipples? Iconic. they drew a hot springs doujin where Genos turned basically his whole body into a vibe and Saitama caused him to short circuit and blow out every fuse in the ryokan. They set off the fire sprinklers. This one ficart where Saitama gets double-teamed by two Genoses knocked me flat.

Mat [Pixiv] [Twitter] - Mat?? Is so?? Good?? Ever think about how a look can break your heart? Egg is always tired and Genos is worried. Contact is very sweet and makes your heart twinge, and there’s another one they just released about Saitama being cursed with handcuffed hands

Hebitoriasu [Pixiv] [Twitter] - I’m not a big fan of the shading but I can see improvement. Mostly R18 doujins but they’re cute.

Tori/Saboten [Pixiv] [Twitter] - They have two major AUs - fem!Saitama (Nyotama) and Sabo-sensei - and they’re both amazing. Very good readability, very funny comics. If you’re not a fan of fem!Saitama, they have dedicated groups of art for nyotama. Of course my fav of their works is the one with all of Saitama and Genos’ dating problems and the one where Saitama is “Weak to ikemen (handsome guys)”.

Asamizu [Pixiv] - What kind of useless list would this be without Asamizu? Yeah they had their own category too on the doujin shelf. Very nice graphics, and they discuss relationship topics in a candid manner. Been drawing these boys for over 4 years! Mostly doujins. I also have to plug their game (visual novel) about Saitama endlessly repeating a week to try to get Genos to stop asking him out, it will probably last 10 hours. God they do love to ramble.

Toufumaru [Pixiv] - I’ll admit, I’m not a big fan of their recent work (sailor uniform sensei and sensei who wants to be held) but I really like Blue in Blue and Mellow Yellow which talk about Saitama’s non-existent emotions.

Nemunoki [Pixiv] [Twitter] - Mainly R18 doujins. They’ve explored all manner of sexual situations and kinks. Outdoor sex, electricity, double penetration, tentacles, you name it. It’s all amazing. The perspective does throw me off though.

Untara [Pixiv] - Into switch but really likes bottom!Genos anyway. What can I say? Kinky, but hot.

Matabi [Pixiv] - Pretty much only doujins. Sensei has moobs and the boys are squishy and blushy. Also does quite a bit of rimming.

Sototuka [Pixiv] [Twitter] - Mostly R18 illustrations with some nice shading but questionable garments. She drew this doujin with futa!Sensei and double-dick Genos.
