RQG Characthers and If They Comit Tax Evasion
*PCs*
Hamid -> he thinks he doesn't but he actually does (he trusts his family to do his taxes for him and they just don't cause they are Al Tahains and don't need to)
Sasha -> does not know what taxes are/ still doesn't pay them after learning
Zolf -> people that are part of the cults don't need to pay taxes, that being said after he lefts the Poseidon lot he still does not pay his taxes
Bertie -> hajahahahahahahahaha wait are you serius? Yes! He totally comits tax evasion, he also thinks poor people should pay HIM taxes actually, if pressed will defend feudalism
Grizzop -> No. He doesn't pay taxes but is because the sweet paladin fiscal benefits and still pays a fee to the Artemis lot.
Azu -> No. She doesn't need to pay taxes as a paladin but she comits tax fraud so she can keep paying them.
Cel -> No. They did it for a long time but they don't feel the need to in Japan.
*Some NPCs*
Harlequinns -> Since the taxes are for the Meritocracy no Harlequinn pays them. The Prague ones are in a more complicated spot where they do pay some taxes to keep their position and mostly just commit tax fraud. Einstein likes finding fun ways to do it.
Wilde -> No. He really can't when working that close to the Meritocracy. He also does his coworkers taxes part of it is his workaholic will accept any work tendendices but mostly is so he can spy on people's financial information and collect favors. He did more than once used his position to make someone comitt tax fraud and than gets them in trouble for it (an ex, an enemy, someone he wanted out of the office).
Carter -> Absolutly. 100%
Barnes -> No. He is a good boi.
The Al Tahans -> yup, they also have a lot of financial benefits both because they are bank owners and just for Apophis nepotism style of things.
Kiko -> Yes but not always she sees not getting caught by "dragon IDF" a challenge and Earhart fully incentivizes it.
The Kobolds -> They are all together here because I don't think Kobold society belives in money at all. When they stabelish a goverment they share a part of their inventions and all their resources but it's not really taxes.
Barret -> Yes. Not only that but is very likely that Barret was in fact being paid with people's tax money because of Meritocratic corruption.
Eddie -> also doesn't know what taxes are but for a very different reason, would pay them if he learned. Is tecnically not a crime cause he has paladin imunity and his parents pay his Apollo's fee.
Tjelvar -> No. He is always in his best behavior so he can gather the most financial support for his research and most of meritocratic programs say you have to have a clean criminal record.

part of me wants to make a poll to see who people's favorite "Joker's Daughter" is, but idk how many of them there actually are.
Duela Dent (post-crisis)
Duela Dent (n52)
Lucy Quinzel (injustice)
Alina Shelley (dark prince charming)
Jackie Napier-Quinzel (White Night)
Like really, that's already five more "daughters" than you'd expect Joker to have, how many more of them are there?

Y'all please tell me why I was on my Reddit and saw this
Tumblr media
Like I will tell y'all right now. The worst older brother should not be up for debate.
It's Meliodas (I wouldn't say Gloxinia but I am confused as to why he didn't use the moon drip on his sister unless he thought she was already dead since her wings where cut off, her legs where cut off, and her eye was cut off)
We could literally argue about this all day but I have the evidence to back up why Meliodas is the WORST older brother on this list. Like I like Meliodas but I not his D rider. Give credit where it's due. Meliodas is the worst older brother on this list and we can argue about this if you guy's want. .
Just to be clear I do understand why Meli did what he did but damn Zeldris was locked away for 3000 years not knowing why all this happened and why his brother betrayed their race.

Thinking a lot about the Meritocrats as gods. Not uncorrupt gods. But gods almost as much as Poseidon or Artemis or Afrodite, in a lot of senses maybe even more because even the followers of the gods begrudngly follow the dragons.
This are mythical creatures of enourmous power that built the Meritocratic Lands as they wanted and proceeded to lie to their people about the rest of the world just enough to convince them that this was how the world was/should be (basically creating a narrative where they built the word as their image).
Everyone knows that their "democratic" leaders are puppets of the Meritocrats and most people are okay with it because the Meritocrats know what is best for them. And it makes sense because the whole idea of the Meritocrats is that they are "superior beings that are stronger and enligthed and can tell you what is good and what it isn't". Hell, Barnes talks about working as a meritocratic agent in a way that feels very similar to Zolf talking about Poseidon. About the sense of purpose, of being sure he was doing good because it was the will of a superior being.
And you can't convince me that Aziza and Wilde kneeling in front of Apophis didn't feel at least a little bit connected to the divine even if it was mostly by fear (on Wilde's case, cause my man had just saw Guivres destroy Paris). And this is another point! Guivres was just allowed to destroy Paris. And she could. I mean who could even try to stop God when he raised Sodom and Gomorrah? Who could stop a fucking dragon?
More on that you can't convince me that Hamid Saleh Haroun al-Tahan didn't felt like a demigod. He spend his whole life knowing that he was different and suddently he discovers he decends from the god-like dragons who rule his word. And he has to have felt special, powerfull. I think part of his pride on being a dragon comes from it. Hamid decends from the gods. But also this is a world where greek heros are real. And Hamid knows that his blood means he is special but he also belives it means he has to use it for good and he heard all the stories about hubris before. That's at least part of the reason he at the same time wants to lead and is terrifield of it. He feels like a greek hero and it means there is a higher chance his life is a tragedy ready to happen so he'll keep doing good and he'll make the best of it, help everyone he can and live the best life he can because greek heros usually don't live long, specially when he intends to stay as a hero.
