*Harvey’s POV*

The four of us were sitting at a booth in Cerberus Books. We all had our favorite milkshakes, but I wasn’t totally into it. It was getting closer to Halloween and ever since the accident three of us haven’t really been the same. Since Brina joined us it’s been better, but still not the same. 

“Harvey, you alright?” Sabrina asked. I looked up and saw everyone was staring at me. 

“Yeah, sorry… just zoned out.” I said. Rosalind reached over and grabbed my hand. I looked up at her and she smiled at me sadly. 

“You shouldn’t think about it.” She said and I sighed. 

“Think about what?” Sabrina asked with a furrowed brow. The three of us looked at each other and Theo sighed. 

“We had a friend, her name was Y/N, we went to the lake in the woods for a swim on Halloween.” He said. 

“It was her idea, she always loved to swim and that was kind of our special spot.” Ros smiled. 

“We had a cannonball contest and Y/N went first…” Theo trailed off. 

“She hit her head on a rock and there was blood all around her as she floated up… She was unconscious and drowned as she was floating to the surface…” I said and a tear rolled down my cheek. I felt Ros tighten her grip on my hand and Sabrina gently rubbed my back. 

“She was Harvey’s girlfriend…” Theo said. I wiped my tear away and took a deep breath. 

“Have you guys been back there?” Sabrina asked. We all shook our heads and Sabrina smiled. 

“What if I told you guys that you could see her again?” She said and we all looked at her with wide eyes. 

“You can bring her back?” I asked, hope clear in my voice. 

“I’ll ask Ambrose if he knows any spells that can bring her back for good, but I can bring her spirit back temporarily.” She said and we all smiled. 

“When can we do it?” Ros asked. 

“Halloween night, when she died. That’s when her spirit will be her strongest.” She said and we nodded. 

“I’ll get to see Y/N again?” I asked quietly and Sabrina nodded with a smile. 

*Halloween Night* 

The three of us met Sabrina and Ambrose outside of their house. They came out with candles, herbs, and a large book. Sabrina had a smile on her face as she rushed over to us. 

“Ambrose has a spell, do you have anything of Y/N’s?” She asked and I nodded. I pulled her necklace out of my shirt and she smiled. 

“Great, we’ll need it for the spell.” She said. We followed her and her cousin into the woods. As we got closer to the lake my stomach was twisting and I felt like I was going to throw up. Theo came up next to me and grabbed my hand. 

“It’s gonna be alright.” He whispered and I nodded. We got to the lake, and Sabrina and Ambrose placed candles around the lake. Sabrina took out a bowl with some markings on it and placed it in between a gap in the candles. 

“Okay, everyone sit down around the lake and join hands.” Ambrose said. We did as he asked and Sabrina sat next to me. 

“Cousin I need you to summon her sprit before we get her back into the world of the living.” Ambrose said. Sabrina nodded and we all joined hands. 

“Harvey, can I have the necklace?” She asked. I took it off and gave it to her. She placed it into the bowl and grabbed my hand again. 

“Spirits below and above, spirits in between, caught in the fabric betwixt worlds, we ask that the veil be lifted and that you send forth the spirit of Y/N Y/M/N Y/L/N, you’re welcome to this circle. If you’re here, we ask that you make your presence known.” Sabrina said. The wind blew around us and the flames of the candles flickered. The lake rippled and soon the air was cold. We looked up and there she was, floating above the lake. She looked just as beautiful as I remember… Her Y/H/C flowed against her shoulder, the dress she was buried in was her favorite color, and her eyes still held so much happiness. 

“Y/N?” I whispered and she looked down at me with a smile. 

“Harvey! Ros! Susie! You guys came back!” She said and tired to reach for us. She furrowed her brown when she couldn’t. 

“It’s actually Theo now, Y/N…” Theo said and she smiled. 

“Oh… sorry.” She said and Theo just smiled at her. 

“Where have you guys been? I feel like it’s been forever since we’ve seen each other.” She asked and I couldn’t hold back the tears anymore. 

“Y-You don’t remember?” Ros asked. 

“She’s a lost soul…” Ambrose said. 

“Oh… sorry I didn’t see the two of you there, why didn’t you tell me you guys brought new friends?” Y/N asked with a smile. 

“This is Sabrina and her cousin Ambrose.” Ros said and Y/N smiled. 

“Nice to meet you both.” She said. 

“Y/N, what do you remember?” Sabrina asked. 

“I remember coming here on Halloween, we went swimming and then I…” She trailed off and frowned. 

“I-I saw black, then blood, then… then I was alone…” She whispered. 

“I’m sorry, baby…” I whispered, tears falling harder. She smiled down at me with sadness in her eyes. 

“It wasn’t your fault.” She said. She kneeled down and floated in front of me. 

“I didn’t pay attention to wear I was jumping.” She said with a sad smile. 

“Cousin, it’s time.” Ambrose said. 

“It’s time?” Y/N asked, tilting her head slightly. 

“We’re bringing you home, Y/N/N.” Ros said with a smile. 

“W-What?” She asked with wide eyes. 

“We’ll explain later, we need to do the spell now.” Sabrina said, placing the herbs into the bowl with Y/N’s necklace. 

“This isn’t going to damage her necklace, right?” I asked and Sabrina smiled. 

“No, it’ll be fine.” She answered. 

“Vires superne et inferis invocamus, spiritum invocamus Y/N Y/L/N, ad mortem revocamus et spiritum ad nos revocamus!” (We call upon the powers from above and below, we call upon the spirit of Y/N Y/L/N, we call to reverse death and bring her spirit back to us!) Ambrose said as he lit a fire in the bowl. Y/N grabbed her head and screamed as the wind picked up and the water rippled as the ground shook. 

“What’s happening to her?” I called over the wind, worried that she was in pain. 

“Ambrose?” Sabrina asked. 

“She’s fighting death, her spirit is breaking into our world again.” He answered. Y/N continued to scream and I tightened my girp on Sabrina and Ros’s hands. Y/N’s spirit pulled apart and vanished into nothingness. The ground stopped shaking, the water stopped moving, and the wind died down. Y/N was no longer in front of us and the fire in the bowl was gone. I looked inside and her necklace was gone as well. 

“What the hell just happened? Where’s Y/N and where is her necklace!?” I shouted as I got up. 

“I-I don’t know…” Brina answered, with worry in her eyes. 

“Where the hell is Y/N?” I asked as Theo pushed against my chest. 

“Chill out Harvey, Sabrina didn’t mean for whatever just happened.” He said. 

“She was just trying to help.” Ros said. 

“Ambrose, did it work?” Sabrina asked. 

“I-I don’t know… I told you this spell was risky.” He answered. 

“You knew it was risky and you still did it!?” I shouted. 

“Harvey I-” 

“Um, guys?” Her voice cut Sabrina off. My head shot over and Y/N was standing there just as she was when she was floating above the lake. 

“Y-Y/N?” I whispered. Theo let go of me and Y/N was smiling brightly at all of us. 

“Hey baby, I missed you.” She said quietly. I ran over to her and pulled her into me tightly. I lifted her off the ground and spun her around. She giggled and hug me just as tightly. I placed her back down and desperately pressed my lips to hers. 

“I missed you so much…” I whispered as I rested my forehead against hers. She smiled and pecked my lips again. She pulled away from me and I reluctantly let her go. Theo ran up to her and wrapped his arms around her stomach. Y/N laughed and hugged him back. Ros came up behind Theo and as soon as he let go Roz engulfed her in a hug. 

“Don’t you ever leave us again, Harvey was a mess!” She said and Y/N laughed. 

“I won’t, no more jumping into lakes without looking for me.” She said. 

“I’m not letting you near water anytime soon.” I said as I pulled her into my chest. 

“But I love swimming!” She pouted and we laughed. 

“I’m not losing you again…” I whispered and she sighed, dramatically. 

“Fine… but what are we going to tell my parents?” She asked and we all froze. 

“We’ll get to that when the time comes, you can stay at my place for now.” I said and she nodded. I buried my head in her neck and sighed happily. I had Y/N back and I wasn’t going to let her go anytime soon. I’d protect her this time, from everything.

To say you were worried would be an understatement. You were beyond that. Suddenly you decided to check the rooftop before calling his friends.

You and Harvey have been married for two years now and you have never been happier. He was an amazing husband and your best friend.

Today you had to work late because you had to cover your colleague’s shift as well. But when you came home, there was no sign of him. You knew Harvey would’ve come home before you and you were positive about the fact. But the lack of him made you really scared, as mentioned before.

When you reached the rooftop, you found Harvey there and you let out a sigh out of satisfaction that you didn’t know you were holding for so long. But the scene before you broke you even more. There you saw Harvey curled up in a corner, crying. He seemed to be sobbing at some point too. His whole body was shaking and he looked so scared and so broke.

Silently you went to him and sat beside him. You put your hand on his back and he looked at you. His eyes were blood red and puffy. It’s like he had been crying for hours. He looked at you as if his soul had left his body and he was all alone and you were the only solution to his breakdown. His panic attack.

Then it hit you. Today was the day when he had to ‘kill’ his older brother, by shooting him. Since then, he had been blaming himself for the mess. He thought that if he tried a little more rather than waiting for his medical treatment, he could’ve gone inside the mine and saved his brother from the mess unlike his cruel father. After Tommy’s death, his father started to drink more and few years later his father, Mr. Kinkle, died too.

He had been alone since. Then you came into his life and made his life colorful again. He had never felt so loved and appreciated more. Yes, his friends were there for him too but you had introduced him to a whole new world. But the only thing you couldn’t free him from was his anxiety and panic attack. Every year, specially on this very day, the whole scenario would hit him and he would break down but you never left his side because you knew what it’s like to lose a family but your situation never matched his. But still you would find a way to calm him down.

‘Hey, shh. Everything is good. Honey, shh. Please.’

‘Y/N. I-I can’t. I’m-I’m a monster. I killed my ow-‘

‘No no no. Don’t say that. You did what had to be done. After the mine situation, he wasn’t Tommy. Sure there was his body but his soul wasn’t there. Sabrina said that too.’

‘But I shouldn’t have chickened out. I should’ve gone there in the mine to save Tommy instead of waiting for my medical treatment. I-‘

‘Harvey. Harvey if you didn’t get any medical treatment, you wouldn’t have been there with me now, okay? Honey, I know it’s hard letting go of such a bitter past but you have to let that go. Please. It’s for your own good. I’m here, okay? I will always be here for you, always and I promise you that. Please, don’t be too hard on yourself. It was an accident and there was no other way..’

‘Y/N. Every time I break down, I find you there next to me. You know how much of a mess I am but I still find you there next to me. I don’t deserve you. You’re too good to me.’

‘Harvey, shh. I love you, okay? And don’t you dare say that you don’t deserve me. We’re us. We’ve always got each other’s back right? Now let’s get inside because it’s getting cold out there. We don’t wanna spend our weekend being sick, now do we?’

He didn’t say anything, he just chuckled instead.

‘You need a good night sleep, honey. Let’s go.’

You took his hand went to the door to leave the rooftop. But then he suddenly spun you around and gave you a kiss which was rather soft and full of love and sincerity.

When the kiss ended, you chuckled and asked him. What was that for?’

He just smiled and said, ‘Thank you. For everything.’

summary: it’s a thursday afternoon and caliban’s taken you by surprise when he teleports to earth and asks you out on a date. not that you’d ever say no.

Sabrina Spellman swore that Hell would have to freeze over the second she saw Caliban get “soft” and care for mortals.

That day was today. 

Greendale, being the small town that it was, housed many local favorites which included Dr. Cerberus’ diner, also dubbed as the local hangout of the Fright Club. There wasn’t much to say about the whole situation about who was running Hell with Sabrina’s clone down under and the Sabrina you knew alive and well, talking your ear off about Nick this, Harvey that, and Caliban this and that. 

If you were being completely honest, you wouldn’t have it any other way. 

So when Caliban teleported back up to Earth’s surface and caught you off guard leaving school grounds, you let out the loudest yell imaginable and dropped all of the books and stray pieces of paper you were carrying. 

“Jesus Christ,” you said, clutching your heart. You bent down and started to pick up what you had dropped. 

Caliban chuckled. “Not quite. Doubt he’s ever going to come to Earth.” 

You didn’t pay much attention to his comment in favor of gathering everything that was on the concrete and Caliban frowned, bending down to help you pick up some notebooks that were closer to him than you. When you finally stood up, you moved strange of hair out from your face and huffed, annoyed. 

“If you’re going to scare me, at least do it where people won’t see because I’m pretty sure I’ve embarrassed myself enough for this entire school year.” The corner of Caliban’s mouth lifted into a smirk when he saw you try to reassure your schoolmates and tugged on your backpack strap to get your attention.

“It’s a Thursday afternoon,” he stated. 

“Yes?”

“Do you have any plans?”

You were taken off guard. 

“What are you planning?” you asked with a raised brow. 

“Nothing bad,” he promised. “Since Sabrina number two is down in Hell dealing with things for the weekend, I figured why not come up here and spend the day with my favorite mortal.” You laughed at the sentiment and fixed your backpack to keep the straps from falling. 

“Well, I’m headed to the diner to study for a little bit before I head to cheerleading practice,” you explained. “I have about two hours before I have to be there so might as well eat and study. You know, kill two birds with one stone.” 

“Mind if I join you?” he asked. 

“You want to watch me study for two hours? It’a gonna be kind of boring,” you explained. 

“Think of me as your study-buddy.”

“Where did you even learn that phrase?”

“Sabrina’s rubbing off on me,” Caliban said with a low laugh. He gestured away from you. “Lead the way.” 

The diner wasn’t too packed when you arrived and you chose a table big enough to let you put your laptop and notebooks on while having a plate of food beside you. Your water bottle sat proudly in Caliban’s hands as he looked at the various stickers stuck to it. 

“This is quite peculiar,” he said.

“It’s a bunch of memories,” you explained. “This one’s from the camp grounds Harvey and I used to go to when we were younger. The orange one is from when Sabrina and I first became friends and that red one is the first sticker I saw with the world ‘Hell’ on it after coming back from, you know, Hell.” 

Caliban smiled at that one. “You’re odd.” 

You tilted your head and chuckled, not knowing how to respond to such a comment. You turned your attention to the screen in front of you, reading online articles assigned to you for your AP World History class. 

“What is ‘AP’?” Caliban asked, looking at the textbook that sat beside your computer. 

“It stands for advanced placement. It’s basically a college course for high schoolers so we don’t have to take it when we get to college and it gives us school credit.” 

“Sounds complicated.”

“It is,” you said, clicking out of the article you had finished taking notes on. “I think this while ‘Hell’ ordeal set me back because I haven’t been studying as much as I used to. At the end of the school year, everyone who takes AP classes has the chance to take a test that determines a score, which determines college credit.”

“You humans are so overachieving,” he commented, stealing a fry from your plate. “But I suppose being knowledgable isn’t bad.”

“Sometimes I feel like I put too much pressure on myself,” you confessed, your gaze back on the man sitting in front of you. “Like, does this really matter? Whether I ace or fail my AP tests won’t matter in the long run and it’s not like I can avoid going to Heaven or Hell.”

Caliban quirked an eyebrow, realizing that discovering the secrets of witches, Hell, and Heaven had left you in a turmoil that no one bothered to discuss. Sabrina was a witch and had accepted her fate on her sixteenth birthday. As for the other three mortals, they had some sort of lineage in magic that offered them solace. You did not. 

“Going to Hell really messed with you, didn’t it?” You didn’t want to say anything in fear of offending Caliban. When he wasn’t trying to steal the throne from Sabrina, he was a decent person, you thought. 

“Um,” you said, pausing, “I think it made me realize some things. I think those things are making me confused about the next step in my life and if what I’m doing is worth finishing.” 

Caliban looked at you and the various books, notebooks, and writing utensils sprawled out on the table. He saw your color-coded planner, binders that kept your articles and paperwork in place, and the dark tint underneath your eyes. That was all he needed to know. 

“I think you’re on the right path. From the looks of it,” he said, gesturing to the messy table in front of you, “you are so passionate and dedicated about learning and doing something with your life. Not many people can say the same. You have the advantage of knowing Hell exists and the second layer to humanity while others wonder about religion and faith. Use it to your advantage.”

“If I hear this correctly, it seems like you don’t want me to give up.” 

“I don’t,” he said, almost too quickly. “Your ambition to do well on your tests resembles my quest to become King of Hell. As I have found out another way to rule Hell alongside Sabrina, I think you’re going to find out what you’re meant to do in life.” 

“You’re starting to sound like someone who believes in God.” 

He chuckled. “God and angels exist. You know that now. I suppose you’ll have to continue praying to find out what He has in store for you.” 

You sat there, dumbfounded. It wasn’t too long ago that Caliban had been in the grand room, cursing angels and Heaven above out of frustration and anger. You and Sabrina had been waiting for him to finish throwing his tantrum before she could engage in business with him, so hearing Caliban talk about having faith in something that even he didn’t believe him gave you a glimmer of motivation. 

“I don’t even know what to say,” you said softly, fiddling with a pen. 

“Go out with me,” Caliban said. “To that drive in theater across town. You mentioned once that you like to go there when you’re stressed. We could forget about Heaven and Hell for one night.” 

“Okay,” you said quietly, earning a gigantic grin from Caliban.

As you were about to pack up your belongings, you heard a “Oh for Satan’s sake” from behind you and turned to see Sabrina rolling her eyes, already dressed in her cheer uniform. 

“Caliban, my clone and I are going to beat your ass if you hurt Y/N in any way,” she said in a sickly sweet tone. Caliban nodded, heading the message without much argument. You packed up your belongings and ran to use the restroom, leaving the two mystical beings alone. 

“I really like her,” Caliban said after a brief pause. “And I know you don’t agree wholeheartedly but I intend to prove otherwise.” 

“Y/N’s smart and won’t take anything from a boy if she’s not comfortable with it,” said Sabrina. “All I’m saying is you should watch you back should you ever hurt her in any way because it’s not just the Fright Club that’s gonna come after you.” 

Caliban gulped and watched as you emerged, putting your hair in a low bun before walking outside to go to cheerleading practice. 

“How does tomorrow night sound?” Caliban asked before you entered Harvey’s truck.

“Pick me up at six,” you said, pressing a quick kiss to his cheek. “And this time, please don’t teleport and scare me.” 

The boy made of clay laughed and promised not to, watching as you climbed into the truck and waved goodbye. He saw Sabrina give him an all-knowing look, but he was determined to befriend your friends if it was the last thing he did. 

Hell, he had an entire lifetime to get to know you.

BONUS:

“Why are you looking at me like that?” you asked as Harvey and Sabrina looked at you. The keys were in the engine but Harvey didn’t bother moving, opting to look between you and the spot where Caliban had teleported to Hell. 

“I know he’s kind of a good guy now, but are you serious?” Harvey asked. 

“What?” you asked, provoking him. “Am I not allowed to be in relationships like you two?”

“I’m just surprised, is all,” said Sabrina. “I mean, you did hate him when we first met him.”

“Absolutely nobody messes with my best friend,” you said. “You two, well, the other you, is ruling with him peacefully.”

“What is he tries to pull a trick?” Harvey asked. 

You had to admit, that was a fair concern. 

“I don’t think it’ll come to that, but if it does, there’s no way in Hell, literally, I’m choosing a boy over my best friends. Who, by the way, I’ve been friends longer with.” 

Harvey seemed to like this answer and started the engine, driving back to the school grounds with you in between him and Sabrina. 

“I guess Hell really did freeze over.”

-Before high school Harvey hadn’t really thought about leaving Greendale.

-Then he met a few friends of Sabrina’s from Riverdale through Dorcas and that changed.

-He now occasionally goes over to Riverdale to play some music with Archie and Betty.

-He’s bi and not out to everyone—even Sabrina which will come back to him later. Only his brother knows and his friend Theo.

-Harvey loves hockey, he’s thankful that Sabrina convinced him to join.

Nicholas:

-Nick’s a city boy. He’s not from Greendale and only goes there in the summer so his relationship with Sabrina has been long distance.

-Nick and Harvey knew each other long before he met Sabrina.

-They were best friends and are slowly getting there again.

-He’s Veronica’s cousin.

-He and Veronica are more like best friends than cousins. To say their parents weren’t the best at raising them would be an understatement, they were mainly raised by nannies and tutors.

-He’s a freshman at Columbia University (he’s 17)

Dorcas:

-She’s much goofier than her other Blossom cousins

-Jason treats her like a little sister but Cheryl is more like a best friend.

-She meets Archie through Cheryl at a end of summer party at Thornhill

-She’s a singer and is in a band with her best friends Prudence and Agatha.
