Azul feeds into Jamil’s god complex by buying him expensive things and constantly raising his ego (including probably calling him -sama, but depending on what hcs ur running on Jamil may not entirely understand that-)

Jamil is entirely down for the contracts as long as he doesn’t make him or Kalim sign one (of the bad ones, at least. Azul has drafted one that is entirely like “and I give you stuff each month and you can leave whenever you want mwah mwah love you”) and Jamil will ACTIVELY help him with it. Intimidation whatever Azul needs.

fun fact octopi love shiny things and i read this thing where they will decorate their “dens” with things they collect, so one of my headcannons is that azul will just impulse buys shiny things and gives them to jamil just cause “ooooh shiny” and Jamil has no clue what to do with all of this. he just likes making his bf look nice!

(also off topic but i just love the idea of azul constantly getting distracted by his hair pieces)

also i’ve always loved the idea of Jamil helping out with the contracts. like imagine u were a scarabia student who was like “oh wait doesn’t jamil hate azul? yeah i can get away with breaking the contract, he’ll probably be on my side” only to get dragged back.

also you KNOW that Jamil has everyone’s name and social security number memorized from investigating people to make sure kalim is safe. azul is using this.

also Also i need to see the contract that Azul tried to get Jamil to sign when they started their relationship. cause he definitely made one.

So we talked about how Tamarack's color palette matches with her favorite colors before. And since then, I've been wondering if Qiu has similar explanation behind their color palette as Tamarack does with hers.

But unlike Tamarack, Qiu's favorite color is only gold, and they don't even have it in their color palette. I guess their sweater can kinda fall on the gold spectrum, but this still doesn't explain the green jacket, the red scarf, or the other colors in their outfit.

So... does this stop me from trying to find some secret explanation behind those colors?

Nope! Quite the opposite actually, I'm taking this as a personal challenge.

Let's start with the green jacket. It's easy to miss this line, but if MC says their favorite color is green, Qiu will mention that they like green too—the darker kinds, like how their jacket is.

Earlier, we considered their sweater looking pretty close to gold, but it is stated in the game that their sweater is orange, which is the color that both Qiu and Ren like.

(I personally disagree and think Qiu's sweater is brown, but maybe it's just me )

And following that pattern, I think we can also assume that the red in Qiu's scarf and sneakers comes from the color that Ren likes too.

But if their close friends' favorite colors is the pattern here, then what about Baxter?

Well, Baxter's favorite colors are black and white.

And guess what the colors of Qiu's bike (and helmet) are?

Okay. Yeah. I know I'm going overboard with the color analyzing. This is the kind of stuff your brain came up with on 3 am when you thought you had a big epiphany but then realized how silly it sounds after you write it down.

But intentional or not, I still think it's interesting that Tamarack's palette is mostly formed of her favorite colors, while Qiu's palette has their friends' favorites but lacks the one color that they like the most.

(Interestingly, though... step 2 is the time where they actually have gold in their color palette, but the colors they originally had in step 1 seem to disappear in that stage)

It’s hard to pull yourself away, sinking deeper into his hold as his fingers find and dance their way on your waist. It’s easy to get lost in it-until your phone starts blaring with your “I’m late” alarm, which has you pressing your lips clumsily against his really for the final time, yelling out an I love you before racing out the door, refusing to look back at his cute pout. Just a glance would make your steps falter and end up back in his arms (you would know, you fell for it more than once).

You don’t know how or why you keep falling for this (you do know the reason why, you’re just weak when it comes to him and you really don’t want to leave without some more kisses either).

Forever thinking about the headcanon how, despite Danse being a very no-nonsense guy, he has a soft spot for a specific kind of dirty humor.

Like, don't be a potty mouth and don't you dare say it in front of a superior, but the right joke about Supermutant love-making at the right time will have him laughing way harder than anyone would expect.

He'll just never admit that he got that sense of humor from Cutler.

He wasn’t just in the wrong place at the wrong time, and encountered a demogorgon when it was hungry and needed food. Someone sought after him for a reason and kidnapped him.

Disorganized RA headcannons

During the whole Skandia arc, Cassandra would braid/play with Will’s hair. It was just something to distract them from their situation, but ever since, having his hair done has been very calming for Will.

Will and Gilan’s relationship consists mostly of them insulting each other. If they’re not insulting each other, they’re actually upset with each other.

One of the ways Will would get back at Horace while they were kids was to do the classic “Horace, there’s a spider on your head!” and Horace fell for it every time.

Maddie one way or another heard about that ‘spider’ trick and tried it on him. It still worked.

On that note, Horace was deathly afraid of insects (particularly spiders and bees) as a kid. As an adult, he’s not really scared of them, but he will still avoid them best he can.

At some point during Cassandra’s reign, Halt goes on a week long vacation out of the country. Cassandra had him legally banished during that week as a goof.

Horace is weirdly good at cutting hair. He could be a stylist if he wanted to. No one actually believes he has this ability though unless they see it for themselves.

Alex on his way back from Paris is one of the most underrated Taylor scenes in Red White and Royal Blue and I think he did such a splendid job there. It's underrated in the sense that, it's not as talked about as his coming out to Henry scene or lake scene or Kensington palace confrontation scene, mostly possibly because it's so short (about 9 seconds). But it's one of my favorites and it owns my heart 🥺♥️. I even talked about it a bit in my little moments series part 1, but not nearly enough.

To me, this scene was incredibly beautifully acted. Taylor poured his heart and soul into it. I believe he discussed it with Matthew extensively and put a lot of thoughts on his approach to it. He knew, the focus would be on his face and he had to portray the many emotions of Alex perfectly and boy did he deliver!

Alex was seen to be so lost in thoughts on the plane, taking in all the new things that had happened, contemplating Henry and their situationship, navigating all the new feelings that were bubbling up within his chest.

He was thinking about Henry, who had become such a good friend to Alex in such a short amount of time, who listens to him, supports him, reassures him while having his own demons to deal with, his closetedness, unsympathetic grandparent. I'm sure Alex felt heard, connected, loved and at the same time feeling a new sense of responsibility towards Henry, to care for him, to protect him. He was falling so fast in love with Henry. This must have been overwhelming to him in the best possible way. And you can see it in the way he goes from pensive to taking in a deep breath. I love how it shows that he is relaxing and coming to terms with all these new feelings.

And he tears up a bit at the weight of them, the weight of all the good things, the prospect of something much bigger and more beautiful than a hook up. And he smiles, ever so softly, at how happy and at peace it made him feel.

I cropped the photo so that his teary eyes can be seen a little better. This 9 second scene is so important and sets the tone for the rest of the movie. Alex was clearly very serious after this about their relationship. His transition from showing just pure Physical want and devouring looks (at the polo match), and then just having a good time with Henry, discovering little things about each other (garden scene and Paris Cafe scene) to Paris hotel scene where they make love for the first time and him pouring his heart out to Henry, and seeing Henry say all the right things, respond in the most loving way, has been done so seamlessly and all of it culminate in this plane scene. And it's so apparent that Alex is grasping and accepting all of that. It's just amazing to see Taylor portray this with just facial expressions (and not through a convo with a friend like it's sometimes done in movies). Such a well scripted and well acted scene, it was so refreshing to watch ��
